It does not surprise me one bit that he would endorse Jackson who was a slave trader/owner.
However, I don't believe for a nanosecond that Trump read the book.

He was either doped up or having a stroke? The trend on Twitter is #denturedonald, implying his dentures were coming loose. But he's so vain, I can't imagine him having dentures rather than implants.

This tweet by Senator Lisa Murkowski...
“We’re seeing a culture of harassment & assault being exposed on a daily basis. Whether you are in the media, politics, or anywhere else abuse of power is unacceptable & shouldn’t be tolerated at any place at any level. Sen. Franken must know that & that’s why he must step down.”
Prompted this response by Norma Burt....
“Senator, I like you and appreciate your negative vote on destroying healthcare in this country. I was hoping you would be strong enough to vote against that legal theft called tax reform, but was disappointed. What I will not do is let you ragg on Al Franken while your party 1/2
2/2 has Donald Trump as it's head and someone like Roy Moore headed to the Senate. You people have NO moral high ground here, so please refrain from complaining about Al unless and until you get rid of your own warts. Thank you.”
I have no idea who Norma Burt is but she nailed it.

linkFrom Quartz.. “Renewable energy is creating US jobs twice as fast as any other industry” “Even as some people would like to see a rebirth of the coal industry in the US, it’s renewable energy that keeps generating good news. Over the next decade, jobs for solar panel installers and wind turbine technicians will grow twice as fast as any other occupation, according to a Bloomberg analysis of the US Bureau of Labor Statistics’s biennial employment projections released yesterday.” But hey lets ignore these jobs and support the dying coal and fossil fuel industry by trashing the land, the air, and the water.

And here is another woman Republican Senator who should keep her trap shut..
From Manu Raju...
“Sen. Susan Collins to @tedbarrettcnn: "I think it would be best for the Senate if [Franken] followed the advice of his Democratic colleagues."
Hypocrisy is thy name.

President Trump slurred several of his words in blessing the “United Schtates". Now we have to wonder if: A) He has Dentures B) He is mentally unstable C) He is on drugs D) He is as nervous as hell about Mueller's investigation E) ALL OF THE ABOVE #DentureDonald

This was what my initial thought was too, that something was going on in his mouth like it was numb from having recent dental work or something. Very weird especially at the very end when he says “... and God bless the Uniteh Shashes. Thank you.”

So many of the things that he said making fun of others are now coming back to bite him on the butt. SNL was just delivered their Christmas present a few weeks early. Most of my strong Republican friends are starting to wane. This was just posted by one of them. I was shocked.

Pence family loses second pet in six months, third in two years BY JUDY KURTZ - 12/07/17 01:58 PM EST The death of the family cat comes less than six months after the Pences said goodbye to another cat, Oreo, which died in June at the age of 13. Another animal, a beagle named Maverick, died last year, days before the presidential election. The Pences have a veritable menagerie, including a dog named Harley that was a Father’s Day surprise for the VP, and a cat named Hazel. The family’s bunny, Marlon Bundo, is set to star in a children’s book penned by the vice president’s daughter, Charlotte Pence. An adviser to President Trump recently reportedly said the commander in chief was “embarrassed” by Pence's decision to bring the tail-wagging family members from Indiana to Washington.
According to a report published by The Atlantic on Tuesday, the adviser said Trump told his secretary that he thought it was "low class" for the family to unleash the assortment of animals at the vice president's residence. thehill.com/blogs/in-the-know/in-the-know/363790-pence-family-loses-second-pet-in-six-months-third-in-two-yearsVery sad, they love their animals! Pence surely is not my first choice for anything, in fact not much at all, but can't totally hate an animal lover. WHO is dt to talk about anyone being low class?

And the Republicans are letting him get away with this. I just WISH they would ask 'WTF, dude?!?' or say, "SERIOUSLY?!? Come on!!!" to them when they make wildly incorrect statements like that. To this one, and to Jeff Sessions when he tosses out his 'executive privilege' claims. But THIS one is even STUPIDER than THAT. (and THAT'S saying something.)

WH: Trump treats women with 'highest level of respect' BY JONATHAN EASLEY - 12/07/17 02:25 PM EST White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Thursday defended President Trump’s treatment of women after scandal-plagued Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) took a parting shot at the president in his resignation speech. “I think that the president treats, certainly as a woman myself, I’ve never felt treated with anything but the highest level of respect and been empowered to do my job and that’s what I’ve seen the president do day in and day out since I’ve been here and during the campaign,” Sanders said told reporters at a press briefing. More at link: thehill.com/homenews/administration/363804-wh-trump-treats-women-with-highest-level-of-respectDoes she really think that dt might risk hitting on her with all the support he gets from her daddy? ********* Trump reportedly said Hope Hicks 'had about as much experience as a coffee cup' in politics — but that her good looks helped Business Insider ELIZA RELMAN Dec 6th 2017 10:06PM The conversation reportedly took place the day after Trump won the election, when Lewandowski was at a hotel in New York City' "When we started this thing, it was you and me, and an airplane," Trump told Lewandowski, according to the book. "That's all we had." "And we had Hope," Lewandowski reportedly responded. "She had about as much experience as a coffee cup," Trump said, according to the book. Does she really think that dt might risk hitting on her with all the support he gets from her daddy? What's DT's minimum rating required for hitting on someone anyway? don't you remember, on the campaign trail he said 'look at her... do you think I'd go after HER?!?' about one of the women accusing him. "highest respect' ...that's all I've seen him do since I've been here.' Aw, come on- doesn't she remember the comments he made about the French First Lady? (is that what her title is?) And does she really expect us to believe she knows what he does every minute of every day?

Just an observation about what happened today at the hearing with the Director of the FBI and the Republicans in your face attempt to get at and stop Mueller so they can protect trump.
If they succeed that one action could really tear this country apart.
