Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities. Too many have learned to believe in absurdities as toddlers and never outgrow their gullibility enough to grow into critical thinking.

Could this be any more Stepford-esque? They certainly looked like wax dummies. Very odd. If I hadn't heard him speak, I would have guessed that these were fakes and the real Trumps were whisked away somewhere FAR away to safety.

Not to pick, but man, Barron is abnormally tall for an 11 year old boy. His legs look photoshopped.

Barron is very tall for his age. I have been trying to copy a picture of them when they walked in and dt turned his back on his son. He pays no attention to him.

Greg Sargent - Washington Post....
“In an interview with me, Rep. Jim Himes of Connecticut — the number two Democrat on the House intel committee — said that Democrats are seriously exploring the possibility of issuing a minority report that details the degree to which Republicans tried to impede a full investigation, should that end up happening.
In this scenario, the public would at least have a clear sense of just how far Republicans went to protect Trump and his top officials from accountability.”
Sad if it come to this. But since Nunes is the chair of that committee I have no doubt that the Democrats will be forced to issue a minority report.
Elections have consequences.

The stunning abnormality of Donald Trump's war on Justice (and justice)Analysis by Chris Cillizza, CNN Editor-at-large Updated 12:41 PM ET, Tue January 2, 2018 What's changed is that we now have a president who not only traffics in this sort of stuff but uses it as his primary source of information. Trump has mainstreamed conspiracy theories that, in every past presidency, have only existed in the fever swamps of the right or left. ****** What's even more frightening than the assumptions made in those presidential tweets is that plenty of people are changing their views of the FBI due to Trump's assault on the bureau and its one-time head.
In 2014, Gallup polling showed that 62% of Republicans thought the FBI was doing an "excellent" or "good" job. In new Gallup polling, that number among Republicans has dipped to 49% -- even as Republicans' trust in other government agencies has soared since 2014. ********** It's almost impossible to accurately describe how abnormal this sort of behavior is from a president. In the past, presidents went out of their way to build up trust in the agencies and departments of the federal government, believing that strength in institutions -- particularly those tasked with law enforcement -- was critically important to a functioning and healthy democracy. Trump is doing the opposite. He is taking conspiracy theories long relegated to the fringes of even conservative talk radio -- there's a group of people entrenched in the government working to undermine his efforts to empower the average person -- and putting them squarely at the center of our national conversation. www.cnn.com/2018/01/02/politics/donald-trump-doj-tweets/index.htmlThose who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities. Too many have learned to believe in absurdities as toddlers and never outgrow their gullibility enough to grow into critical thinking. He is fixated on conspiracies......

You know what I'm pondering? This current thread was started November 25th. About 6 weeks and there are over 25 pages. How many threads has Fred started previously and how many pages did they reach before a new thread was needed?
Has there been a day in this presidency when a Politics thread is NOT on the front page?
This is not normal. It's disturbing how many people now view this reality freak show of an administration as perfectly acceptable. If someone who held their nose to vote for Trump because 'never Hillary' or "I was a Bernie supporter so I'm going to show them!" isn't thinking 'oops!' by now, WTF people.
The Las Vegas shooting happened October 1st. When was the church shooting? And yet awful stuff is happening at such a rapid rate that we can't process one event before another one happens.

If he'd stick to what he really likes, golf, and leave the presidency bit alone, these threads might be shorter. Or at least if someone would take his phone away and put a time governor on his televisions so he can't get in his daily 8-10 hours.

Wife unit, awaiting programming..... is she wearing a shower curtain? it looks like she's looking 'past' him somehow, not AT him. Maybe it's just the angle at which the photo was taken, but it really looks odd. (or it's simply just her usual blank, empty stare.)

“I will be announcing THE MOST DISHONEST & CORRUPT MEDIA AWARDS OF THE YEAR on Monday at 5:00 o’clock. Subjects will cover Dishonesty & Bad Reporting in various categories from the Fake News Media. Stay tuned!”
I think it was the Washington Post who fact check this fool and determined he told something like 1,900 lies and misleading statements since he has been in office.
