What is wrong with him? trump... “North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the “Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times.” Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!” I was just watching CNN and saw this. I have no words. At least not nice ones. Seriously! This not middle school or high school. He did not just win points or own someone. There are potential serious, real world consequences at stake here.

^^^ I heard one of the commentators on MSNBC (don't know who it was, as I was listening on the radio in the car) say that it was N. Korea that was doing the escalating, and that Trump's Twitter comments were NOT any escalation of anything. I had to turn the radio off, it was so stupid a defense.

President Trump is crowning the 2017 KING OF FAKE NEWS ^^^ so he finally found a way to CROWN HIMSELF!! LOL. Just kidding- I would think whoever gets his 'award' should wear it as a badge of honor, sort of like the award Stephen Colbert gives to people who Trump has blocked on Twitter.

Nate Silver...
“Gotta be honest: On a night like tonight, I'm still pretty pissed at those journalists and news organizations which treated Hillary Clinton's email server as a matter of apocalyptic importance.”
I’m guessing this comment was a result of trump’s tweet storm tonight.

In the last few hours the @potus -- has started an international incident by insulting an ally (Pakistan) -- threatened the Palestinian authority -- threatened a nuclear power saying his "button is bigger than their button" Is there no one on his staff watching him have this melt down that is thinking that it might be a good idea to intervene? And call me a conspiracy nut if you will, but I really wonder WTH is coming down the pike that he is trying to deflect from when he goes off like this.

And then there is this one.... trump “I will be announcing THE MOST DISHONEST & CORRUPT MEDIA AWARDS OF THE YEAR on Monday at 5:00 o’clock. Subjects will cover Dishonesty & Bad Reporting in various categories from the Fake News Media. Stay tuned!” I think it was the Washington Post who fact check this fool and determined he told something like 1,900 lies and misleading statements since he has been in office. This is just so bizarre! How can any part of America sit back, read that on their Twitter, and think, "Yup, that's how a president should behave." NO!! This. Is. Not. Normal. Why is our president taking pot shots at our media? And our FBI? And any politician, celebrity, or citizen that opposes him in any fashion?

This. Mentally ill combined with a lifetime of being treated as a god by sycophants so he believes this is how the world must also treat him as president. The idea that he serves the American people vs the American people, nee, the world serving him, is foreign to him.

From Raw Story...
14 California Republicans at risk of losing their House seats due to Trump’s unpopularity: Wall Street Journal
The almost non-existent presence of Republicans representing California in Congress is likely to grow even smaller after the 2018 midterm elections, primarily because of President Donald Trump’s extreme unpopularity reports the Wall Street Journal.
As of right now, both of California’s U.S. Senate seats are held by Democrats as well as 39 of the 53 seats awarded to the state in the House.
According to the Journal, Democrats are looking at California’s 14 GOP House members as likely targets as part of their plan to take control of the House where they need to flip 24 seats.
With half of the GOP-held seats coming from districts that went for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, Democrats feel seats held by stalwarts like Darrell Issa and Devin Nunes are ripe for the plucking as their Democratic challengers plan to hang Trump around their necks.
At issue is Trump’s dismantling of the Affordable Care Act, his position on climate change, his anti-immigration rhetoric and the recently signed GOP tax bill that will disproportionately hit California’s citizens who pay high mortgage interest rates and taxes that will be capped as deductions on their federal income tax returns starting in 2019.
According to respected political observer Dan Schnur, California’s House members, “have been left hanging by their national party leadership, whose focus seems to be squarely on the needs of their colleagues in more conservative parts of the country.”
The Journal goes on to note that, “The Cook Political Report rates eight of the 14 House districts Republicans hold as highly competitive this year, and calls three of them tossups, meaning Democrats’ chances of seizing them are roughly equal to the GOP’s chances of retaining them.”
“The biggest challenge for these suburban Republicans is more cultural than it is legislative. They’re a lot more uncomfortable with Trump’s behavior than they are with his policy agenda,” Schnur explained, adding that immigration looms as “the biggest challenge for Republican incumbents.”
I certainly hope they lose their seats. Especially Nunes as he poses a real threat to the security of this country because of his blatant actions to protect trump.

How is he not the biggest threat to national security that we've had since WW2? Really, isn't the military or someone responsible for looking out for our country's safety?? This man needs to be removed and congress doesn't have the balls to do it. Who is looking out for the country?? Anyone?

This by Mitch Grimes....
“BREAKING: NYT: Sen. Foreign Relations Chairman Corker warns that Pres. Trump could set US on path to WWIII.”
“He concerns me. He would have to concern anyone who cares about our nation," Sen. Corker tells the NYT of Pres. Trump.
Prompted these responses
Adam Khan...
"I'm the last thing standing between you and the apocalypse"–Clinton, weeks before the election mobile.nytimes.com/2016/10/16/mag…”
“Hilary Clinton warned about this last year. Way to catch up, Corker. Is Trump's plan to attack Korea or Iran if Mueller tightens screws?”
DarbyCar...
“A Trump voter I know just said the same thing - he hated HRC, voted for Trump because he distrusted her. Now regrets, researched HRC, thinks she got a bad deal, lies, false stories, fake accusations, etc. Wishes she was president.”
We were warned. The part that gets me in the last tweet is the the trump voter researched HRC after the election.
And if I hear another politician say one more time “they’re concerned” ......

Thread on the Manafort Law Suit From Renata Mariotti....
1/ As the link above states, today Paul Manafort sued the Justice Department, Mueller, and Rosenstein, claiming that Mueller acted outside his authority by indicting him.
2/ This is an extremely unusual move. If an indictment can be challenged legally, typically the defendant files a motion to dismiss the indictment as part of the criminal case.
3/ It’s hard to see why Manafort chose to file this civil lawsuit instead of filing a motion in the criminal case. My initial reaction is that he wants to gain additional media exposure without putting this in front of the judge who would ultimately sentence him if convicted.
4/ This suit has almost no chance of success. Even if it succeeded, another federal prosecutor could indict Manafort for the same crimes, so it’s a pointless suit. He’s counting on the public (or conservative allies) to take this publicity stunt seriously. Don’t. /end”
I suspect I know what Rachel will be talking about tonight. 😀

Just reading the last page or so of this thread, I am pretty sure an advance copy of today's Bannon book (not that DT would actually read...) is responsible for yesterday's tweetstorm. Nuclear warmongering is lower on his scale of bad things than disloyalty to the great DT. Apologies, not Bannon's book, Wolff.
