He is starting to implode... We keep saying that, but he never actually does. Don't worry. When he does it's going to be spectacular. The greatest implosion you've ever seen. It will be bigly.

speaking of his implosion, I just came across this by Dan Rather.
Dan Rather
"Mugged by reality"
I keep coming back to this phrase I first heard from former Secretary of George Shultz in his admonishment of his fellow Republicans about their denial over climate change. Eventually you get "mugged by reality." You can only bury the truth for so long before it can no longer be denied - whether it's science, economic policy, or the law. The seas will rise. The economy will crash. Indictments will be handed down.
The lies, after lies, after lies emanating from the White House might currently be accepted by the President's frothy base. The duplicity of rhetoric around such disingenuous efforts like the tax bill might be acting as an effective smokescreen to the truth in our polarized world. But eventually words become deeds, deeds become the subject of history, and history is watching. There is always a sizable percentage of people who will believe nonsense if it conforms to their biases. This instinct is not solely limited to one political ideology, but today the fever of ignorance is particularly afflicting President Trump's followers.
However, there is the rest of the nation who i sense are getting tired of the words and actions that seem more like the taunts and hijinks of a middle school play yard, than the official pronouncements of a President of the United States. The conspiracy theories, the sharing of inflammatory anti-Muslim content, the petty attacks on his political adversaries... these types of actions by President Trump, I am convinced, are not going to sit well with Americans of the future. They will be like the actions of McCarthyism. And those who have normalized it, condoned it, or played it for cynical benefit will be "mugged by reality." The question is how much damage will be done in the meantime.

Roy Moore...
BREAKING: Democrat operatives in Alabama are REGISTERING THOUSANDS OF FELONS all across the state in an effort to swing the US Senate election to Doug Jones! #ALSen
Prompted this response from Joyce Alene....
“Nonsense. The (GOP controlled) Alabama legislature recently passed a law restoring voting rights to some people with felony records. Those people are newly registering, as they are entitled to. & If Moore thinks only Democrats have criminal history in Al., he's sorely mistaken.”
So Alabama wants this guy for their Senator..

He is getting worse, mentally, every day!! To go backwards and bring up the birther thing again, and to try to claim that the Access Hollywood tape was altered or not him, is just INSANE!!!!!!!!!!! His speech today was just nutty!! He seemed wired or drunk. To end it with the whole "Let's say Merry Christmas once again" was so frustrating!!!!!!! I just wish this would all end before N Korea decides to get rid of us all.

Aargh. The "Deep State" again. Is it possible Himself believes that all career federal employees were hired in the last eight years? And no matter what their politics, they developed a rabid allegiance to Barack Obama? DT: what you spot is what you've got. ETA: as I have already posted, rant posted, here and on @dottyscrapper 's thread, I will add this here- DH and I vowed we would not talk politics to strangers as we go. However as we travelled around NYC yesterday, most of the talk (locals and tourists, our conversations and those we overheard) were about politics and we did not hear one person who supports 45. Granted, this is kind of expected in NYC, but not even one? How did the nutjob get to be POTUS? Our limo driver from the airport hated Hillary (he volunteered this) but was even more scathing about DT. The same talk is pervasive on the tour buses, in the bars, on the ferry. 100% of the conversations touch on politics and 100% are negative towards you know who. Is this hopeful or should we be even more depressed than we were a year ago when he got elected? AAAARGH!

Huckabee Sanders: Trump’s mark on the judiciary will last for “decades and decades”BY JONATHAN EASLEY - 11/30/17 10:34 AM EST White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told a group of conservatives on Wednesday night that President Trump’s reshaping of the courts will be his most lasting accomplishment, saying that the impact on the judiciary will be felt for “decades and decades.” Speaking at a gala hosted by the conservative American Principles Project, Sanders said that Trump’s “remaking” of the courts is an overlooked but potentially defining aspect of his legacy that goes beyond the appointment of Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch. *************** Trump has been rapidly filling the more than 100 vacancies in the federal courts with lifetime appointments of judges, many of whom come with a seal of approval from the conservative Federalist Society. *********** Moreof her words at link: thehill.com/homenews/administration/362546-huckabee-sanders-trumps-mark-on-the-judiciary-will-last-for-decades********************* Conservative site gets major blowback after defending Moore dating teens 'to raise a large family'BY JOE CONCHA - 11/30/17 10:03 AM EST ******** "Here is one thing we know and should admit from the start: in his early thirties, Moore had a penchant for dating teenagers. Trump's bigoted retweets are a national security threatBY BRIAN KLAAS, OPINION CONTRIBUTOR — 11/30/17 12:00 PM EST 37 THE VIEWS EXPRESSED BY CONTRIBUTORS ARE THEIR OWN AND NOT THE VIEW OF THE HILL Donald Trump went too far — again. But this time, his reckless, bigoted Twitter activity is a national security risk to the United States. Wednesday, Donald Trump decided to use his platform as president to spread videos from a neo-fascist account linked to the hate group Britain First. He re-tweeted Jayda Fransen, a bigot who has even appeared on the neo-Nazi radio station “Radio Aryan” and who has been arrested — and convicted — multiple times for hate crimes against Muslims or inciting religious hatred. At least one of the videos that Trump shared from her account was fake. In response, U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May rightly called Trump’s Twitter activity “wrong” and said it was against British values to spread neo-fascist ideas or to validate hate mongering. (She’s absolutely right, and it’s against American values too, by the way). ************ Now, his tweets are threatening our security by alienating our most powerful ally. Throughout modern history, when Americans have made the call, Brits have answered. They have supported American foreign policy on virtually every front. The U.S. government coordinates with the British government on virtually every matter of international significance. British soldiers have died alongside our soldiers in combat, from the beaches of Normandy to the most far-flung reaches of Afghanistan after we asked for their help in the wake of 9/11. ************* thehill.com/opinion/national-security/362551-trumps-bigoted-tweets-are-a-national-security-threat*************** House Homeland Security Democrat hits Trump retweets: Trump is making security jobs difficultBY JULIA MANCHESTER - 11/30/17 12:08 PM EST The ranking Democrat on the House Homeland Security Committee hit President Trump on Thursday for retweeting videos purporting to show Muslims committing acts of violence from an ultranationalist British figure, saying his actions make the jobs of security officials more difficult. "Though they cannot say so themselves, the President’s actions make the already difficult jobs of the witnesses joining us on the first panel today even harder. The Department of Homeland Security, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and National Counterterrorism Center play key roles in securing the homeland from terrorists both foreign and domestic," Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) said, referencing his committee's hearing on domestic terrorism. "Americans should be able to look to our President for a steady hand and responsible leadership in uncertain times, but unfortunately, President Trump consistently conducts himself in a way that jeopardizes our security and is not befitting of the office he holds," he continued. Thompson's comments come one day after Trump retweeted the videos, which were originally tweeted by Jayda Fransen, who is the deputy head of the ultranationalist group Britain First. ************ thehill.com/homenews/house/362577-house-homeland-security-democrat-hits-trump-retweets-trump-is-making-securityThere is more at both links............ HE truly is trying to get us killed........ Then he also will have nothing! I am not happy taking that risk!

“Schiff says he asked Sessions directly if Trump ever directed him to "hinder" the Russia investigation. He declined to answer, citing private conversations with Trump”
“DOJ spox said that the AG wouldn't talk about his communications with Trump but said that "he's never been directed to do anything illegal or improper" as he has said before.”
Two questions...
1- How can anyone believe anything Session says about this issue especially sine he has been caught in the lies he has told.
2- At what point does “citing private conversations with a president” becomes obstruction and complicate in covering up a crime/impeachable offense by the president?

2- At what point does “citing private conversations with a president” becomes obstruction and complicate in covering up a crime/impeachable offense by the president? ^^^ especially since the way I heard it, any Executive Privilege has to be invoked by the President- NOT the other person in the conversations- and TRUMP HAS NOT DONE SO. In my opinion, Jeff Sessions IS obstructing (and has been all along), and I wish they'd just get him under oath and finally MAKE him answer.

This priceless from Chris Donovan...
“Lindsey Graham on CNN:“U know what concerns me abt the American press is this endless, endless attempt to label the guy as some kind of KOOK NOT FIT TO BE PRESIDENT"
Graham labeling Trump on Fox on 2/17/16: “I think he’s a KOOK. I think he’s crazy ..He’s NOT FIT TO BE PRESIDENT”
These guys have absolutely no shame because they won.
By the way trump is a kook and he is not fit to be president so why should the American press lie about it?

I'm losing faith in Tony Schwartz. He was on MSNBC last night (I forget which show) and made some incredible revelation that came from a psychiatrist (whom he said he trusted implicitly) who had supposedly been consulted about Trump's mental state by WH staffers. I found the whole story hard to believe. Maybe desperate WH staffers would call in a shrink, but would that shrink (illegally) tell Tony Schwartz about it? And if he did, would Tony Schwartz feel okay about betraying his trust on national TV? There's something wrong with this story and it's probably what he's pushing today, too. But don't worry, I'll be watching anyway. ETA revirdsuba99 they're both from Tony Schwartz. You can read them under his name at Twitter -- @tonyschwartz ETA #2 oh, I just realized the tweets are from yesterday. So he probably won't be on again tonight, I'm guessing.

White House: Trump did not know about Britain First leader when he shared videosBY JONATHAN EASLEY - 11/30/17 03:57 PM EST White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Thursday that President Trump did not know that Jayda Fransen was a leader of the ultranationalist group Britain First when he shared her anti-Muslim videos on Twitter.Trump has been under fire for sharing the unverified videos that purport to show Muslims engaged in acts of violence, which were shared by Fransen, the deputy leader of Britain First who faces charges of incitement in her homeland. On Thursday, Sanders was asked if Trump knew who Fransen was before he shared the controversial videos. “No, I don’t believe so but I think he knew what the issues are,” Sanders said. “That is that we have a real threat of extreme violence and terrorism, not just in this country but across the globe, particularly in Europe. That was the point he was making. I don't have much to add beyond that.” Sanders also said she was uncertain of how the president had come across the material. “I’m not sure every single video the president has viewed,” she said. Trump’s tweets sparked fury across the Atlantic, with British Prime Minister Theresa May condemning the president and the mayor of London saying he should not be allowed an official visit next year. Trump fired back, telling May to stay focused on the threat of terror in her own country. The White House has defended the tweets, saying that even if the content is fake, the point is to draw attention to the underlying issue of radical Islamic extremism.“The president feels that bringing up important issues of our time like extreme violence and terrorism are important things to do,” Sanders said. “That is what he did in that process and he will continue to do that in a number of venues, whether it's through speeches or Twitter or other social media platforms.” Sanders said Trump had “elevated” the conversation around terrorism. “The president feels strongly about talking about and bringing up as an issue every day,” Sanders said. “We're looking the best ways to protect Americans.” thehill.com/homenews/administration/362648-white-house-trump-did-not-know-about-britain-first-leader-when-he Called open mouth insert foot syndrome! Pro-Trump group's poll finds Moore up 1 in AlabamaBY BEN KAMISAR - 11/30/17 05:25 PM EST Alabama Senate race polling from a group aligned with President Trump shows a tight race ahead of the December general election, Pro-Trump group America First Policies (AFP) commissioned two polls on the race as it weighs whether to back embattled Republican Roy Moore. One came in the days after The Washington Post reported allegations that Moore molested a 14-year-old girl decades ago while he was an adult, and another over the past few days. That first poll, conducted between Nov. 13 and Nov. 15 found Democrat Doug Jones ahead by 8 points. But the second poll, conducted between Nov. 26 and Nov. 28, found Moore ahead 46 percent to 45 percent. "Although there has been a massive amount of investment and media attention surrounding the race, Doug Jones has tumbled,” Brian O. Walsh, America First Policies's president, said in a statement released with the poll. “This election is a dead heat and far from over.”More at link: thehill.com/homenews/campaign/362668-pro-trump-groups-poll-finds-moore-up-1-in-alabamaThinking Jones could use some $$$. Earlier I saw a report that Bannon and crew are doing big ads for Moore.
