I just ordered myself 3 sets of paint sharpies off amazon. They were too good a deal to pass up!

My first thought was WTF, but then I saw it was you, and it made perfect sense. Bwahahaha. I really do want a flock of flamingos (how perfect are they... Pink and a bird) but they are really expensive.

I want new cycling shoes and pedals for my bike, but I know no one will get them for me. I'll have to buy them myself.
I did see a little serving board at Anthro that is wood on one side and marble on the other, I may tell my daughter about it. I asked my mother to make some of her spaghetti sauce to put in my freezer.

I hope this works out for you. I spent my life renting until a year ago July. Our rent was going up a lot every year and our mortgage, taxes and insurance is less than our rent was. Being a homeowner is the best. What I want can’t be purchased and I won’t write it out because I’d look like a more selfish and less caring person than I already appear. I’ll stick to counting my blessings and praying for the future. Except you don't appear as selfish and uncaring in the least! I can't imagine anyone thinking that of you. Exactly what Julee said. Whatever it is, I hope you get it, KelleeM. As well as all of the Peas. Whatever it may be as long as you are happy.

I want a channel bike rack so I can transport my bike or my scooter. The bike rack I have won’t work for my scooter and I can’t put both my dog and my scooter in my SUV at the same time.

I want very expensive things that I would never ask for, like a huge diamond ring or really blingy lovely jewelry.
I would also love a midpriced embroidery machine and a personal organizer/house cleaner to come into my house and help me get rid of stuff and organize.
What I really need is money for 2 upcoming scrapbook retreats in Jan and Feb. No one wants to give me cash and they don't have it to give.
I asked my mother and brother to get 10 of my video tapes transferred to DVD. They are beginning to deteriorate and I have a guy who will do them for $10 each. I have to send them to the guy and they will pay him. That will leave me with 15 to still get transferred someday.
Other than that I just need endless adhesive for scrapbooking. My DH and friend get me adhesive and it lasts until my birthday when I get another stash.
I see lovely shirts at Soft Surroundings and other catalogs but I don't need them.

I always have a hard time thinking of what I want. I'd like to have the Amazon fire Stick. I need some new socks. That's all I can really think of. Oh--I'd like a new ottoman for the living room.

I am going to try to be careful about how I write this in order to respond honestly to your "Why" question. This has always been the season of giving for many people. I know there is a large segment of the world that does not give now and an even larger segment that does not get now or ever. But the members of this message board do give, regularly and often and willingly, in their message posts of comfort, suggestions, tips, and numerous other ways of thinking of others and, most importantly, in being members of a community, a fellowship, a tribe (lookin' at you, AKathy people) of commonfolk. There are even very silent members, people we never hear from, who come here every day to receive. I feel the same way about my gift giving and my gift receiving. I am a member of a group of friends who give and receive, a family group that does the same, and of a larger, much greater community that is willing to honor this time of year with tangible evidence of caring for one another. Whether it is a new Cricut or set of silky sheets or an InstaPot or a diamond tiara (I'd buy that for you gar if I had won the lottery) or a tip on how to deal with a weird neighbor or what to use on an aging face, we all love to give and love to receive. And here's the real kicker: It is all the same. All of it. Deep down, a dh who buys a daughter a very expensive backpack in real life or a 10-page thread on this message board asking for prayers for an ill son or a five-response thread on how to clean stinky shoes. All.The.Same. And that is why I want antique pie plates for Christmas. And I know I'll get some! Happy Holidays to all! This is truly one of the best posts I’ve ever read here. Happy holidays to you too!

I really, really, really want the offer we've made on a house to be accepted. Why? Our rent is ridiculous and the mortgage would be less than half what we're currently paying. Plus I want the chance to furnish and decorate a home that's ours not just on loan. Sending positive thoughts your way lainey. I’ve also crossed my fingers and toes 😁👍🏻

I'm thinking of suggesting to my dh that rather than buy gifts for each other, we sock about $1500 into our retirement accounts. We'll be getting gifts from family members and we really don't need or want anything.

I want maid service to come to my house once a month and deep clean my kitchen and bathrooms. I don't think Santa is going to deliver that one.

My first thought was WTF, but then I saw it was you, and it made perfect sense. I did the same thing! lol I really, really, really want the offer we've made on a house to be accepted. Why? Our rent is ridiculous and the mortgage would be less than half what we're currently paying. Plus I want the chance to furnish and decorate a home that's ours not just on loan. BTDT, I cried when we signed the paperwork for our first house last year. We literally started painting the first day we owned it. I still have to stop and take in that we own it, and if I want to paint my bathroom coral, I can. I hope that the offer is accepted and you are in your new home soon! What I want can’t be purchased and I won’t write it out because I’d look like a more selfish and less caring person than I already appear. I’ll stick to counting my blessings and praying for the future. I totally get it, and validate you.

I think once she goes off to college or moves out, I will seriously consider hiring someone to do the deep cleaning. I find I am in too much pain these days when I do the heavy cleaning. Plus I am finding I want my "me" time back, and I can't seem to find it between work, errands, and keeping up with the house. I told DH we are going to start ordering whatever we can online because I'm sick of wasting hours each weekend flitting here and there for things, and squeezing in the cleaning between that. Well, that was a rant!

A bunny. We've been babysitting friend's Holland lops a couple times over the last month and I love them. I don't want to go get one, I legit want to open a box on Christmas and have a bunny hop out lol. Yes I know I sound like a child. Don't care, I hope DH makes it happen!

i don't want. i don't need. however, why i want is because DH asking what i want. like i said, i don't need or want anything though. This is where I am, and where I've been for a while now.
I'm going away with my family this year. So, if I have one wish, it's that we have an experience we've never had before, together.

that's truly what i want too----good and happy experiences. health and peace to those i love. why? because those things can be fleeting. nothing stays the same. kids grow up. older people die off. people get busy. i don't need the material stuff. i can buy that anytime. at this point in my life, i just want the non tangible stuff.

I'm kind of stuck too. right now I've got either a glass or wooden essential oil diffuser on the list- because I moonlight as a hippy and always have oils diffusing but don't want the ugly plastic diffuser in my living room. I think it also like a large casserole dish, mine broke this year. I saw a pretty wood diffuser on Amazon. I'm thinking about getting one for a friend of mine.

I'm enchanted with old English stained glass windows, to the point I can't imagine how people in the UK don't snap them up instead of letting them be shipped to the U.S. by the container load.
So recently, in a moment of boredom I bought yet another on eBay. So that's my Christmas present.
