I'm taking Marcy Penner's Agenda class and I'm so excited. After seeing the prices of some of the classes offered at BPC, I'm shocked it was under $30, and it comes with a free stamp set. DS bought it for me for my birthday and I can't wait. I've never taken a class at SC, though. The only other class I've taken was through BPC, and they give you lifetime access. Do you get that with SC classes? Do you like the classes you've taken through SC? Has anyone taken classes from Marcy Penner? What was your experience?

Marcy works so hard to make her classes great- I have taken classes from her in the past and she does a nice job. I love the stamp set! You do get lifetime access with SC classes.

I love Marcy Penner's videos! I would buy the class because I have a planner and I Love the stamp set, but I am trying really, really hard to downsize and simplify my life. Plus, I'm really not that busy to justify a planner anyway. I hope you enjoy the class!

Enjoy! I'd take it except I don't use a planner any more

I signed up, too. I really need to get organized. My pocketbook is always a mess of receipts and I'm always losing papers. This way I can get everything into one place.
I love the stamp set so much. I think it will get a lot of use, even on my scrap and PL pages.

Katyscrap, I can see that stamp set being very versatile in scrapping and PL, too. I probably would've thought it over more before signing up, but my birthday is on Sunday and 11yo DS insisted on using his own money to buy me a present. I always feel bad when he uses his saved allowance to buy me a present, but the class was fairly inexpensive, and he really wanted to. In fact, he told me that I'd better hurry and sign up before they ran out of stamp sets. Lol. Yeah, he's pretty much the best kid ever.

Thanks for the input everyone. I'm glad to hear that there have been good experiences with her past classes. I will absolutely let you know how the class is going, but it doesn't start until October 1st.
Katyscrap, what type of planner are you using? I have a Franklin-Covey, but I am probably going to end up filling it will the Marcy Penner printables, once she makes them available on her website.

I have recently been bitten by the planner bug, and I am a big fan of Marcy Penner, so I signed up too. I think the stamp set is great and makes the class worthwhile. Just be forewarned that the stamp set is only while available. in the past, some people have signed up for classes and not gotten the attached stamp set because it was gone, I believe

Yay! I signed up a few days ago. And, when I went back to look at the confirmation email, the stamp set was in my order. It looks like it was automatically added to my cart. Does that mean that I'll be getting it for sure? Do they usually tell you when they run out? I'm a Studio Calico class newbie and, to be honest, this is only the second online class I'm taking. Mamashosh, what kind of planner and inserts are you using? I'm going to buy the Marcy Penner printables when they are available for sale, send wanted to see who else is doing this. If it was added to your cart, I would assume you are good on the stamps.
I am experimenting with a couple of different planners (big budget hit)---A5 size seems to be working best for me. The filofax domino is reasonably priced. I got a cheap daytime personal size on amazon. I also really like the kikki k planners
I have filofax inserts but I also use blank pages for lists, etc

I added the class to my cart, but it's not showing a separate entry for the stamp. I asked on the board for someone to confirm stamps were still going to be sent, and received no response.
If I can't get the stamp, I'm not interested. But the longer it's taking to get a response, the less interested I'm becoming.

I just went back to the original Marcy Penner thread at SC talking about the class, and on the last page there are several members asking questions, and getting no response.
Oh, well.

Devildog, sounds like you already decided not to take the class, sorry to hear that. However, just to let you know, when I added the class the stamp set wasn't there. It wasn't until I checked out that I noticed the stamp set was there. I hope the radio silence is not an indication of how the class is gonna go. I've never been on the SC boards, but I think I'll try to pop in over there, just to see what it's like. :-)

I really want to know first that it's still available before I pay, kwim? I think the quiet on the boards is probably because it's the weekend, but for me, my initial urge to buy has now passed, which is good for the wallet.

I can get into the message boards for the class itself, and Marcy appears to be very present on there. I'm not sure if she would know the availability of stamp sets, as they are shipping from SC, but I can ask her on there if you'd like. But, like I said, I'm not sure if she would know. I've taken a bunch of SC classes and have really enjoyed all of them. I really want to take this class as I love the idea of planners and even bought a neon pink filofax for my birthday in January and have barely used it. I just can't get used to using a paper planner. Which probably means I really need the class, but I also feel like I just won't be able to stick to the paper planner and I already spent a lot of money on the planer, so why spend more on the class too. But I'll probably end up signing up, who am I kidding?

The person that would know if the stamps were available is Gluestickgirl, not Marcy. I'm taking the class too- Marcy is always very present in her classes as craftergamer said.

Your post made me go and have a look and I may want to take a class sometime. I liked the one where you incorporate your handwriting and use a paint brush. It looks so pretty.

I am seriously low tech and it would take me a while to figure out how to post a photo. I would do it but it really isn't needed---the photo on the studio calico website is really accurate

Got my stamp today and it is very cute, lots of tiny images Did you sign up for the class before Sept.1st? I saw that, since I signed up after that, that my stamp set won't ship until after Sept. 22nd. :-(. I wish I had mine because it would help me; I've been working this last week to get my planner all ready to take the class. I even ordered a 6-hole punch from Amazon. I'm glad that you were able to get your stamp set, though. Enjoy! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I thought the class was really meh. I didn't learn much if anything. She doesn't decorate much, and while her printables are nice, that's not what I used and there wasn't much variety. I think the Christy Tomlinson planner class is much better quality.

I took that class too and was a little disappointed.
