It sounds like a good deal. BUT, my experience has taught me to buy used cameras and equipment from reputable camera stores. Places that have to have integrity and good will in order to survive. There are so many things to look for in a used camera, lens scratches, light leaks, software glitches ... these are things professional dealers check and repair before they sell.

That was exactly my thought when I read the OP. I'm sure some people have good intentions, but some people don't know a dSLR from a toy camera.
