Now that I'm free from work, we're pretty flexible for traveling. Here are the plans so far.
In January, camping (in a camper, not tent) at Yosemite. I won a cabin stay in Tahoe (best $5 ticket ever!), we'll be there four days in February. Over-nighter to San Francisco for a Giants game. I really shouldn't even call this a vacation. In April or May we're planning on taking the camper on a road trip to AZ, NM, UT, CO.
We are also thinking of visiting Iceland this summer. We've been wanting to go for a couple of years now.

After tax season, going to take dgs to San Diego where we will hit the zoo and to Carlsbad for Legoland. Hoping to check off some more states (part of my bucket list) in the early fall with a road trip. Trying to convince DH we need another camper so we can get away more often.

DD11 and I are going to NYC for her birthday in February, which is the same day as the Chinese New Year parade there this year. We've been to the parade in San Francisco and we've wanted to go to the NYC one. It works perfectly because it's a long weekend for President's Day and it will be the year of the dog - and she was born in the year of the dog. It's her first time there so we'll see the sights.
We hope for another trip in late August but unsure where.

Camping in state in ol’ Bessie, our little RV. We are also going to Iceland in June. Very excited.
We cram most of our travel into the summer since I teach.
Really wish I had a warm winter vacation to look forward to.

We’re spending a week in August with my sister and her family at a place in Missouri called Big Cedar Lodge. We’ve never been, but they go every year and absolutely love it.

We were just talking about this! We are going to scale back a little since we just bought a house (before we planned to and we need to sell our other house asap!).
But it looks like we will be heading to Vermont sometime either super soon or in the Spring, my grandma just passed away and we will go back for services. Part of me hopes it is soon, since I'm 25 weeks pregnant and would rather go now than in the spring with a newborn. Her husband - my grandpa - turns 90 in June and I had planned on trying to get back there for that, but we'll see what happens.
We have been going to Yosemite for the 4th of July since I was a baby, but since the new company took it over and they renamed everything it just isn't' the same. We were really disappointed this last year in all of the "cost-cutting" measures they had taken. So that is up in the air.
Dh's cousin is getting married in Washington State in August and mil/fil are now trying to convince their family (us, sil's and their families) to do a week or so long trip up for it. If that is the case we will not do our summer trip to CO to visit the sil's.
The big trip is that dh qualified for World Triathlon championships and they are on the Gold Coast of Australia in September. We haven't figured out how long we are going to go for since the kids will have started school (kindergarten and 2nd grade) we aren't sure if we want to pull them out for more than a week that early in the year.
Then Cabo for Christmas and New Years!

I'm impressed with all your vacations (and a little envious)! We've never been able to afford to go on big vacations. We go to Eastern Oregon and the WA coast every year. I love both of the trips, but they are nothing fancy. Eastern Oregon and the WA coast sound great to me!

DH and I are real close to being able to retire when we hit 50, so I think we're gonna stay close to home this year.
DH just asked if we're going to the beach in October. Well, YES we are! It's still pretty close to home so I didn't fib.

We don't have anything set in stone, but DH was told by HR last week that he is way behind in taking leave - his time off at Christmas/New Year will finally tap out his 2016 leave allowance - so we will have to fit in a couple of vacations.
So far, we are looking at 2 weeks in Mexico and Florida in May, just before DH has a conference in Orlando. We might also be going back to Australia for a couple of weeks around August/September for family reasons. My sister is also planning on visiting us from Australia from October until Christmas, so there will be a lot of travel in that time, but possibly mainly my sister and I.

Ive been to The Gambia and Senegal. We loved the Mali market by the train station in Senegal. Had fab necklaces baskets and fabric. We are going to Chile for solar eclipse and on a cruise up Norwegian coast to the arctic circle. We might sneak in a week in Northern Ireland/Wales on that trip. Dh is retiring in Jan. Right after we get home from a month in New Zealand.

Everyone's travel plans sound wonderful! I'm going to Minneapolis for a quick trip to go with my DD and GS to the Crayola Experience for his birthday in a few weeks. I'd love to see New England in the fall.

I don't even know yet. My dh might have to have a knee replacement. He has his MRI tomorrow.
Otherwise, my dd might be doing an exchange in Hong Kong. I have a 10 day block of time booked off in the fall to join her if she's accepted into the program.

We don't do "big" vacations every year and we went to Ireland in September so next years plans are more local. Camping in Michigan's upper peninsula (in a camper- not a tent), maybe a long weekend in Lakeland, FL for baseball spring training. I'll probably take a week off to be home and get things done around the house. That's about it for 2018. I'll have bigger plans for 2019!!
Everyone's plans sound fabulous!!

Playa del Carmen for last week of December and 1st week of January. Naples, FL for last two weeks in January. Supposed to be going to Lake Havasu in February, but that's up in the air. Belize in late Feb/early March - still working on it yet. Then our lake house for the summer. That's as far as I've gotten. I think we'll be out of money by then! lol

Instead of going to the mountains this winter (ugh traffic and weather and too many people!) we are going to try a mini stay at a tiny house community! We are fortunate to live near a place that has a tiny house community that you rent a tiny house like a hotel room. Plus my husband and I will do our annual just us trip, this year to Barbados. We also take an annual trip to MT. It is an off year for family gathering so one less trip but may be a time to go where we want to go. My parents have decided they are going to take each of their grandkids on a trip. My niece got her chance last year and this year is my DD turn. She just has to decide where she wants to go and so far she is leaning towards New York.

SaveSaveThe UP is one of my favorite places to go! I try to get up there at least once a year, we go to the western UP, L'Anse & Baraga. My neighbors Mother has a cottage on the bay in L'Anse and sometimes we go to her place other times we camp across the bay in Baraga at the state park. I always come home feeling rested and relaxed.

We are for sure going to Las Vegas a couple of times, Canada in May, and then are trying to put together a trip to the Caribbean. What part of Canada are you coming to? We need to book a spring break trip. Probably Puerto Vallarta again because we've been and we have good connection flights. I want to go to the east coast this summer and explore Nova Scotia.

We are going to NYC as a family for Christmas 2018/my daughters 16th birthday (Dec 23). I've never been to NYC over Christmas so I'm super excited. It will be a no-holds-barred kind of trip...stay somewhere extravagant, eat wherever we want (Daniel Boulud, I'll be seeing you!), buy what we want, do what we want kind of trip. So it will cost a small fortune, I'm sure.
Nothing else planned yet. My husband is travelling extensively for work right now, so travelling for leisure isn't really at the top of his list.

March - Disney World & Universal - DD is going with the band. I am taking a solo trip to watch them perform and do some things I haven't done before (one of the backstage tours at Disney; maybe a VIP tour at Universal). We will leave from Orlando to go to Chicago to see Hamilton.
August - Atlanta to see Dan and Phil (YouTube comedians who DD loves). We saw them on their last US tour, but we'll get to meet them this time.
September - New Orleans to see Taylor Swift, maybe. My pre-sale time is tonight, so we'll see if I can get decent seats.
I'd like to take a cruise next year, too. Maybe a 1 week out of New Orleans.

I wish we had stayed more days in Bovec. There is so much outdoor stuff to do and quite a bit of WWI history. The site that really blew us away was the Skocjan cave. Absolutely do not miss it. You know the scene in LOTR where they are traversing the mines of Moria? That but, add a river at the bottom.

Have fun planning your vacation.
