oh my goodness, bless you for taking her in and giving her a forever home!! She looks like a sweetheart.
(from her face and coloring, she looks like she has a bit of Sheltie in her... if so, she will love you to bits, and you will be her special person forever!!)

That first picture of her just broke my heart. You can see the misery in her expression. I wonder how long she was living on the streets with that horrible mange. I have read that mange is unbearably itchy, but it must be pretty painful too when they scratch their skin raw and develop open sores. Her ear just looks awful. I cannot stand to see an animal in pain. And the picture of her after she was treated is just night and day different! She looks so much more alert and years younger too. Bless you for giving this baby a home and an opportunity to have a fulfilling life. I'm sure she will be giving back to you twofold. May the two of you share many many years of joy and companionship. Can you share the story of how you came to find her? Thank you! I found her via a British website. Many shelters post their available dogs on one place. It’s like pet finder in the US. I contacted the rescue coordinator in the UK on their FB page and she did all the paperwork, house check, transport, etc. Faith came over on a truck with 10 other dogs. They drive from Romania, up through Europe and through the channel tunnel. About 25 hours altogether. They dropped her off at my house at 11:15pm on a Saturday night. She stunk really badly and was a bit shell shocked. She settled in very quickly and is learning fast. I adore her. She’s getting a big brother from Serbia next week - a golden retriever found on the streets of Belgrade. There are many charities in the UK that bring over stray and mistreated dogs from Spain, Greece, Serbia, and Romania. It’s really heartbreaking to see how people treat them.

ohmygosh, she is so cute sprawled out on the pillows!! she looks almost exactly like one of our Shelties in that picture (minus some of the long Sheltie hair).
That is a great rescue program... she doesn't even look like the same dog from the first photo. To be honest, I probably wouldn't have looked twice at the dog from the first photo (which is horrible for me to admit, I know, but it's true), so it's wonderful that there are rescue organizations out there who help dogs get out of horrible conditions like that, especially since the dogs didn't do anything to deserve such bad treatment.

I think she might have some shelter in her. If you look closely at her first photo, the remaining fur is quite long. She’s short coated now because it’s just growing back. I imagine she’s going to get fluffier. I must admit, one of the reasons I chose her was because she looked like my other dog when she was a puppy. The shelter provided a few of photos of her after her treatment so I didn’t just choose her based on the first photo. The volunteers at the shelter are absolute angels. They currently have 1500 dogs that they rescue from the pound. Unfortunately the temperatures get to -27 in Romania so many of the old dogs and puppies freeze to death outside:(

I am glad you did so I won't have to.
I went the shelters yesterday. OMG, the sheer look of despair on those poor souls. If I didn't have 2 inside cats and an outside cat, I would have brought home five more cats.
My husband still wants me to go get the dog we were looking at and another cat. Nope I am done having babies and preteens in the house.
