I seriously have no words to describe your kindness. ~ Hero ~ It's the word that fits you best. ![](http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r481/2peasrefugees/Smilies/yourock.jpg.gif)

They currently have 1500 dogs that they rescue from the pound. Unfortunately the temperatures get to -27 in Romania so many of the old dogs and puppies freeze to death outside:( sooo many dogs! and when it gets that cold? that is terrible! ![:crying:](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/t4lmEAqHtTO6q6ksSmvP.jpg) makes me want to donate money for spay and neuter programs...

It’s hard to believe these are two pictures of the same dog. She looks so content now. Safe. Secure. Loved. You did good, Mama.

She’s adorable. And so lucky to be alive and have found a loving home.

That first picture of her just broke my heart. You can see the misery in her expression. I wonder how long she was living on the streets with that horrible mange. I have read that mange is unbearably itchy, but it must be pretty painful too when they scratch their skin raw and develop open sores. Her ear just looks awful. I cannot stand to see an animal in pain. ![](http://www.picgifs.com/graphics/s/sadness/graphics-sadness-663105.gif) And the picture of her after she was treated is just night and day different! She looks so much more alert and years younger too. Bless you for giving this baby a home and an opportunity to have a fulfilling life. I'm sure she will be giving back to you twofold. May the two of you share many many years of joy and companionship. Can you share the story of how you came to find her? Thank you! I found her via a British website. Many shelters post their available dogs on one place. It’s like pet finder in the US. I contacted the rescue coordinator in the UK on their FB page and she did all the paperwork, house check, transport, etc. Faith came over on a truck with 10 other dogs. They drive from Romania, up through Europe and through the channel tunnel. About 25 hours altogether. They dropped her off at my house at 11:15pm on a Saturday night. She stunk really badly and was a bit shell shocked. She settled in very quickly and is learning fast. I adore her. She’s getting a big brother from Serbia next week - a golden retriever found on the streets of Belgrade. There are many charities in the UK that bring over stray and mistreated dogs from Spain, Greece, Serbia, and Romania. It’s really heartbreaking to see how people treat them. ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171207/a8f63a7470065c8425bb349decbd982a.jpg) She is really beautiful, what a sweet face. I lost my last dog in May, and still grieving her. But she had the same kind of start, found covered in mange after Hurricane Katrina. We had 11 wonderful years with her, she was the sweetest dog. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) She looks like she has border collie in her.
