I think the paper you use makes a big difference. I like watercolor paper or Bristol smooth. What kind of sponges are you using?

I get streaks at first but if I keep adding ink and keep blending it smooths out. I use the round sponges from tim holtz. Mini smoothies or makeup sponges are also popular. I use mini smoothies with regular distress ink.

I'll second what gale w said. I use Bristol smooth for blending and watercolor paper for spraying and smooshing. If you get streaks with blending just keep adding more ink. Sometimes rather than using a circular motion I just go back and forth. I use the TH mini ink blending tool with foam.

I use Bristol Smooth and Canson Faboy Comic Manga (which is also smooth). I use a makeup sponge I start from the edge like Tim teaches. I seem to get a smooth blend.

Ditto what others say, plus practice and figure out what blending tool works for you. I use the round TH blending tool or big round sponge daubers.

Thanks. I've seen people use those, but I never knew what they were called. I might have to try a pack!
