I bought This dress as an "after" picture for my weight loss program for this year. I normally go for v-neck because I think they look better on me, but this one really spoke to me. Does it need a long necklace instead? Honestly I could probably convert it to a v-neck but the sequins are very pretty. I might wear it to my son's wedding in March if I can still wear it! lol. It's a daytime wedding, is it too much for daytime? |

I think the dress speaks for itself. No necklace necessary. I would get a nice pair of chandelier-type earrings, black. Also, possibly, matching bracelets on each wrist. Beautiful dress !
Also as mother of the groom, I think it’s perfect for anytime of the day.

I would not wear any neck jewelry and maybe go with a bold black bracelet or festive black earrings instead. That dress is beautiful.

The sequins are the jewelry. Statement earrings and or statement bracelet.

Thank you guys for your help. I've lost enough weight that everything is different now clothing wise! It's like starting over again. haha. I also found out that now I love clothes shopping!
I'll share my "after" pics after the first of the year.

I would only do earrings, and I'd keep those fairly simple. Black beaded tassel earrings would be my choice. The dress is beautiful. You need to post a pic when you are all dressed up!

i would skip the necklace because of all the sequins going on in the front of the dress. i would do a fabulous cocktail ring or earrings or both.

From what little I know about you, which are your beautiful paintings, you seem to have an artistic soul and free spirit (I'm thinking Stevie Nicks). This dress seems perfect for you based on that limited information. I agree that great black earrings would be perfect, but no necklace is needed. Good luck on your weight loss, and congratulations on the upcoming wedding of your son!

Congratulations on your weight loss, can't wait to see photos! Beautiful dress, I agree with those that say chandelier black beaded earrings, no necklace. I wouldn't change the neckline either.
What is the venue of the wedding? The fabric and design seem fine for a day wedding, but depending on the venue I think the length could make it too formal.
