I'm hopeful the Senate will toss him out. If not, the world of Handmaids Tale doesn't seem so farfetched.

I can’t believe so many people - men and women alike - who think women are so undeserving of equal rights and treatment.

Don't give up yet. If you look at the by county results, the cities aren't in yet. Less than 1/3 of the vote counted in Montgomery, Birmingham and Mobile. Of the counted votes there, they are heavily for Jones.

I think we are in for 8 years also. I'm afraid you are right. Living in this state, it's ... well, you know how it is.

I choose to hold on to the hope that we will NOT have eight years of trump. We need to remember that only about half -- HALF! -- of eligible voters in the country even bothered to vote (and I'm still angry at them). And of the ones who did vote less than half of those actually voted for trump. So I'm holding out for all those non-voters to get their butts out to vote next time!

Less than 10,000 votes separate them with Jones closing the gap and about 200k more votes to go. So its not over yet.

If Moore goes in, then AL no longer has any excuse to use against all the stereotypes the rest of the country and the world have about them.

Right now its a dead heat with NYT trending toward a Jones win (by a razor thin margin) 49.6 Jones to 48.8 Moore.
Getting my hopes up.

About 3,000 votes separating them now according to CNN. Hoping voters made the right choice tonight.

The assholes at faux news switched from election coverage to liberals are mean to trump reports as soon as the race tied.
Douchebags!

If Moore goes in, then AL no longer has any excuse to use against all the stereotypes the rest of the country and the world have about them. I get what you mean, but don't honestly think that is really completely fair. Its not like 100% voted for him. Its a fairly even split. I'm not any more defined as a person or lumped in with the people who voted Trump in, simply because I happen to live here. I didn't vote for him.
