I have started to experience tingling in my arm little finger, ring finger, and middle finger. It was kind of funny because the first time I experienced it was when I was asleep. I woke up thinking my arm is asleep and I need to turn over… And then I realized that it was not the arm I was sleeping on that was tingling! I have self diagnosed it as cubital tunnel syndrome. I won't be able to see my doctor until February because I will be traveling. Has anybody here experienced this? I have read that can lead to pain eventually. Can you tell me what the pain is like and where it would be? What kind of treatment have you had? Right now, my symptoms are just annoying. This is my right hand, the I craft with.....

See your doctor before February if at all possible. Leaving nerves in an irritated state can lead to permanent nerve damage which obviously impacts use of that hand for the rest of your life. It starts out as an intermittent tingle and progresses to a burning sensation. I've had ulnar nerve problems. Mine was compressed in the shoulder area, not the elbow. My solution was breast reduction as my bra straps had deformed my shoulder and were pressing on the nerve.

Wanted to add, the ulnar nerve starts in a vertebrae in the lower neck/upper back. It runs along the shoulder and down the arm, through the cubital tunnel in the elbow, through the wrist and down to the pinkie and pinkie side of the ring finger. At just about any point along that path it can get trapped either by anatomical structures like the cubital tunnel or by lifestyle habits such as the way you sleep can crick the neck, leaning on your elbow for an extended period, or clothing trap the nerve such as my bra straps did. A doctor can help you figure out what is causing it.

I had similar symptoms and it was due to a cyst under my arm.

I had those symptoms with a pinched nerve in my neck. PT worked it out with heating pads, and massage. This really is not something to wait on. Perhaps, you can call doctor's office and get an emergency referral to a neurologist for some testing before you leave. You do not want permanent nerve damage because you have to be out of town for a month. I suppose the traveling cannot wait a week?

I have it, diagnosed. Have had it for 5 years. I used to backpack often when I lived in Arizona and continued to do so less often when we moved to the eastern USA as I aged, and the docs seem to think I ruined my C-spine carrying a heavy pack. I have it in both arms/elbow areas, one worse than the other.
I take Lyrica and have PT whenever it gets bad. It is hurting as I type this.
The best things for it are acupuncture and deep tissue massage, neither of which are paid by my insurance. But I have avoided the permanent nerve damage by paying for them out of pocket.
I had steroid shots in my neck but they did not work, however, some people find relief from those.
It hurts like a SOB. I used to come home from work and cry for awhile until the pain med the doc originally prescribed kicked in - I did not take it during the day as I was a teacher and did not want any weirdness to occur. The Lyrica helps tremendously, but I only take a low dose to avoid all the side effects that can happen.
I bought a TENS unit and use it. I have a drawer full of pain creams - the latest, Ted's Pain Cream- seems to work well but you smell like wintergreen. Australian Dream also works.
I have been to a chiropractor and seen ortho and neuro docs. I do need surgery on my C-spine, but I will not get it unless I am desperate.
I know it's painful for you. Perhaps you can do deep tissue or acupuncture until your appointment. My pain is never gone, only managed.
Good luck. Try everything and see what works. I know it hurts - PM, if you need to have more information.
