Well, I'm partial to Stampin' Up! envelopes and not just because I'm a demonstrator. I bought SU!'s envelopes for many, many years prior to signing up.

We have a place here that is a printer's supply that is open to the public (Anchor Paper Express here, but there are others in other areas) where you can buy envelopes individually, by the pound or by the box (250). www.marcopaper.com is a good place for online shopping and sometimes they have a booth at stamp or scrapbook consumer shows. If you are ever near a Paper Source store, they are well worth a visit because they have awesome envelopes--lots of unique sizes, the kind with string closures in different sizes and shapes, and made out of cool papers.

I quit buying premade ones after I purchased the WRM envelope board. I have one of these too, but I end up sending out waaaay too many thank you notes to make all the envelopes too! I do like it for those times when I need one envelope in a weird size though.

I quit buying premade ones after I purchased the WRM envelope board. Me too sort of. I also get lots of envelopes for free from the one store in town when the card rep comes to take the seasonal cards off the rack. They throw the envelopes away so she keeps them for me. I like to make mini albums with them because they are a bit on the large size. But with the envelope punch board I can make any size I might need for cards. That means I can make odd sized cards.

I get my A2 envelopes at Kelly Paper. I have the WRMK envelope board though and after all the posts on here I ordered some envelope glue and I'm going to make my own for the other sizes.

Many different ways and places! I stocked Hallmark Cards for 6 months some years ago. I was allowed to keep the envelopes trashed after the seasons ended. So, I have all kinds of sizes there! But I already had dies (for the past 10 years) for an A7 and A2 envelope. The A2 one that is a little bigger but close enough.
I use the Lick and Stick for the envelope flap IF I'm someone else is getting the cards. I use ATG to put the envelope together. I also have dies for a couple of tiny envelopes. I also have some templates for envelopes. I've never gotten the WRMK envelope punch board because I have all the others. But, I WOULD get it if I didn't have everything else.
And I've bought boxes of envelopes on sale at Staples or at Walmart.

I really like SU! envelopes as well. I love the shape of the flaps, lol. However, I too have tried to make more of my own envelopes by using my WRMK Envelope board. It's a great way to get a coordinating envelope and to use up my hoards of paper as well I've also gotten into the habit of making up "envelopes" with the board and writing my "thank you" inside. So it becomes a card and envelope in one.

Ugh, Staples? It seemed like the thing to do at the time. I bought a box of 100 A2 sized many months ago and I haven't used them all up yet.
Of course, I have to get over worrying about cream colored envelopes with white card bases.

I usually just use the envelopes that come with blank card bases, but not too long ago I bought a cute Mary Englebreit cardboard suitcase at Gyoodwill, that was full of envelopes and a few cards. I am going to start making cards to fit those envelopes. There are patterned envelopes, colored ones, different sizes etc.
