Written in HS: TWAS THE WEEK FOLLOWING CHRISTMAS Tonight we took down the tree and packed up the lights, putting in boxes everyone’s delights. The stockings that were hung without their mates were put back with care for next year’s dates. The wrapping paper that was strung all over the floor, we woke up the next morning and threw it out the door. The ornaments that hung on the branches so gay until next year have all been put away. Now, a week later, we’re eating turkey AGAIN and someone sits up and says, “When will this end” It’s off to bed with dreams fulfilled and finally all of the week’s noises are stilled.

I wish I could put it all behind me for another year but DH is the kind that wants the tree up until Easter. It would be fun to end your December Daily with this. Is that what you do, KikiPea?
