So last week I received some AlieExpress stamps. I didn't realize it at the time, but people here told me they were knockoffs of Waffle Flower stamps ( ) Anyway, tried them out for the first time today and here are my thoughts: 1. the rubber is 'floppier' than my other higher quality stamps. Not a big deal but... 2. they don't stamp very well. It's not AWFUL, but if you're anal about your stamps looking clean and sharp, I wouldn't recommend them. one side of a single stamp stamped more heavily, the other edge more light, and I stamped the same image about 15 times to be sure it wasn't just me pressing harder on one edge. (i didn't use my stamp platform--will try that and maybe it will resolve the issue). 3. some parts of each stamp seem to not be "level" with the others, so they don't stamp at all--mostly the teeny tiny detail parts of the flower stamp i was using. So, overall, not impressed. I think these would be great for a child, a tween or maybe someone just starting out who wants to see if they'd like to invest in higher quality stamps. The dies that came with the stamps were fine--a bit thin, but fine. I will not be ordering stamps again through aliexpress. My fave stamps to use are Taylored Expressions and MFT--so clean and sharp. I actually prefer the pink cling rubber stamps with a bit of a cushion, but most major companies have switched to simply clear cling stamps. (taylored expressions uses the pink ones, FWIW). Like I said, the material used for the Aliexpress stamps was not great--too floppy, poor detail etc. Just my 2 cents for those of you who have considered buying stamps from AliExpress. I will save my money next time and buy fewer sets of stamps I adore from domestic companies.

Yeah, AliExpress isn't known for high quality stamps with peas who have tried them.

Is there a thread on here that has the best stamp brands to buy for sharpness and clarity?

Is there a thread on here that has the best stamp brands to buy for sharpness and clarity? Not sure. But I LOVE taylored expressions stamps. I haven't had a problem with winnie & Walter. MFT or lawn fawn either.

I have found paper trey stamps has decreased in quality. Last couple sets I bought from them are not as crisp and just not the same as they used to be.

I agree taylored expressions are really nice. I find I stop using and toss those that don’t stamp well. The rubber ones with foam do seem to work best though a few of the clear brands do well.
I have some places I buy plain sheets of rubber stamps from and mount on the foam myself. Very happy with results

I bought last year the shining star set and another set I tried. I ordered a lot a haven't tried them all. I hadn't bought since year before. (Canada and shipping so once a year ordering for me).

I have heard that the quality isn’t even close to ones made by reputable companies, but for the cost I have picked up a couple. Sadly I haven’t tried them yet. I generally buy dies from Ali and I have only been disappointed by one, but that was because I wasn’t paying close enough attention to the size and it turned out to be quite a bit smaller than I was expecting. My fault but again, for the cost, it’s not a big deal.

I bought a few from AliExpress recently and came to the same conclusions. I figure I'd only buy stamps from there that I would need once or twice and then toss. They also feel like they will degrade quickly - I had an old polymer stamp kind of melt once - they feel like they will do that.
I love MFT stamps, as well as Mama Elephant, Concord & 9th, Neat & Tangled, and Flora & Fauna - they're all excellent quality and have great customer service. I spent wayyyyyy too much money with them all recently, after becoming unfrozen.

Maybe with my TH stamp press or misti they won't be so bad They sure have a lot of SU knock offs lately.

Have you tried filing them? That often helps w/the unevenness of my cheaper stamps.

I just use a nail file on my stamps - even good ones sometimes if I'm not getting a good impression. Here is a video about it where I learned to do this. She shows stamping w/ and w/o the filing.
