It's not midnight yet and I am not ready to go to bed. Do you have stuff to do on Sunday? I don't have anything big I need to do. We planned out our meal for tomorrow and will stick to that.
What are you doing tomorrow day and night?

I will be doing the usual, which is laundry, cleaning, and packing a few more boxes. Oh, and cutting up the three palm branches that fell off the trees and into the pool. I need to get them into the trash, and that is going to require the Sawzall and some elbow grease.

It's 'tomorrow' here already - just past 9am. We'll be going to church in about an hour, like any Sunday. The rest of the day will also be like a regular Sunday - putzing around the house, watching TV, DH on the computer, me knitting. DH has this evening's food requirements in hand. He will be making a variety of small dishes, which we will eat slowly across the evening, leading up to going out for fireworks just before midnight.

I need to get them into the trash, and that is going to require the Sawzall and some elbow grease. That sounds busy and productive. Someone volunteered to go to the store tomorrow so I have nothing important to do. I spent a couple of hours with the little old lady and that was fun. I talked to her daughter who is visiting (and my good friend) about her thoughts for her mother's care. What should she do for fun? What to do for activity? What to do for spirituality. I found her an art class we can take. It's just for fun. I know a place I can take her for walks. We will do that once a week if she can swing it and feels well enough to do so. She is 78 so I don't want to push it but she will make excuses, too. Why do I look after her? I am her favourite child. She has 3 other children but I am the favourite. The daughter visiting today was the least favourite and the mother told me so but she really means it, too. I didn't like that. It's just a joke about me being the favourite. Anyway we had a good time and got some good talking in.

I will not be able to do a anything. I am on oxygen. The power input connector came off my portable concentrator and I only have about 20 minutes of battery power left. I called the company and they do not stock parts. They have to send it back to the manufacturer for repair and that will take 30-45 days. I DO have an oxygen tank for emergencies, but they did not leave me the cart thing to roll it around. I would have to carry it, and those tanks are VERY heavy. It was quite interesting last night when I needed to go to the ER. We were standing there debating whether or not I had enough battery life left to get there and back. Hence only having 20 minutes left.
So this girl is housebound until at least Tuesday. Sigh...

There is nothing special about it until 6 pm. Then the food begins and then fireworks or champagne or banging pots and pans. I am going to spend the night at BFF's house because she needed an excuse to get out of doing something she didn't want to do. I needed something to do. It worked out very well for us. It's all good! Do we need cupcakes at midnight? I think we might...

Now I want cupcakes, Delta Dawn. I do have a package of brownie mix in the cupboard, and I think there is a cake mix, but I don't have anything for frosting, and there is no point making cupcakes without the frosting. I consider cupcakes merely a transportation device for the frosting. Yum! What kind are you going to make? mlynn, I'm sorry you will be stuck at home. I've picked up one of those oxygen tanks before and they are amazingly heavy! I hope you can get a carrier cart thing on Tuesday.

I might buy them because the commercially available ones at the store are really great! Had I been thinking earlier I could have bought them at a better bakery still. I wish I had thought of this 12 hours ago!

My cousin is having her usual NYE party. Just very quiet with family and her in laws and it's also a surprise 75th birthday party for my aunt. I'm going over there about 4:30 to help her out and I'm making an appetizer so I have to go to the store tomorrow to get that and maybe flowers and a card for my aunt. The Seahawks games is on at 1:25 but I don't know how I'll have time to watch it. Took 95% of my Christmas decor down today so I kind of wanted to finish that and put my regular decor back. 😝 Yikes!

It's 10:13pm on New Year's Eve in NZ.....sitting here watching Die Hard 2 (again) on tv.
Not going out, and I will probably go to bed and sleep through any neighborhood celebrations
