i am having a problem with versafine ink leaving a faint smudge on the lid of my Tim Holtz stamp press when i clean it off. No matter what I do it doesn't seem to come off completely. Anyone have this problem or have a good cleaner?

I use a lot of black VersaFine ink. I usually clean up pretty quick with a damp microfiber cloth and any remaining ink is removed with my thumbnail. In his video for demonstrating the Stamp Platform, he says you can use any normal stamp cleaner, a solvent cleaner (such as Ranger Solvent Cleaner), baby wipes and even hand sanitizer. He says just not to use any acetate based product like nail polish remover. here is the video - www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XY4rJ3edHE The clean up starts at 4:40

I didn't want to go the solvent cleaner route until I consulted the Ps. I totally forgot about the the hand sanitizer trick. Thanks!

I think I used hand sanitizer on mine, but it was for Archival ink.
