I use Papertrey Ink cardstock. It's a great weight for card making.

I use mostly Papertrey (because I like the colors) but also some Simon Says Stamp. I find that they are pretty comparable. Bazzill Card Shoppe is also great and you can find it at JoAnn sold by the sheet. When they have a sale on the open stock paper (like 10 sheets for $2), you can get it at a great price. But, they don't have a huge range of colors, at least in my local store. (Also FYI if you want a lot of one color and they don't have enough, you can special order it from their warehouse.)

I've developed a love for the Recollections cardstock at Michaels. The only sucky thing is that you can't get single color packs, they only come in packs with 4 (?) coordinating colors except for white, black and kraft, which you can get as single color packs. The 65lb is great for layering or doing monochrome backgrounds. The real MVP though is their 110lb packs, they make excellent card bases AND you can get single packs of white, black and kraft. They also have multi-colored packs in the 110lb which I also use for card bases, in particular their blue pack and gray packs, the colors are gorgeous IMO.

I am loving stampin up card stock. It's reasonable and it's in a lot of nice colours. 24 per pack. I stock up when they have a sale.
The multi pack of colours they have are less per pack. But good so you can see what colours are available.
I'm in Canada so shopping for other brands is hard with shipping because of weight.
