I print all of my digital journaling cards on the Epson matte presentation paper. The results are great, but the texture makes it impossible to write on with any felt tip pen — it gunks it up. Even Pigma Microns, Sharpies, etc.
Does anyone have any tried and true pens you use to journal on this paper?
Even some roller balls skip, and some liquid ink pens bleed. I’m considering going back to gel pens for these, but I didn’t know if anyone had any suggestions.

I stopped printing journal cards on MPP because of this--I ruined several of my favorite pens before I realized it was the paper. I did have some luck with slick writers, but even those eventually stopped working (I was happy to get some of the cards used up with the slick writers because I was too cheap to reprint the cards on different paper after realizing it was the paper.) Now I use the white paper from Stampin' Up for my cards--pens work great on it, the whiteness is fine, and it cuts nicely.

I have a ton of this paper because I "thought" I loved it. But then I found Canon Matte Photo paper which is far more white and which has since become my go-to for any type of print and cut. I don't generally write anything because I hate my handwriting so I can't comment on whether or not it will ruin pens, but what I discovered when someone else recommended it, is that I am a big fan of bright white paper - which the Epson Matte Presentation Paper is not.
