beaglemom, Oh My! I'm sending you a virtual hug, 'cuz dang, you need one. I hope you can control your gestational diabetes with diet and that the propane has been delivered. We had 30% in the propane tank on Thursday morning before leaving for a few days and came home last night to 15%. They say they'll get to us before tomorrow. But last winter they took our info and then misplaced it. When I would call back, they had no clue I had ordered. Luckily last winter was mild and 20% went a lot further. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for them. My van still won't start (stopped 2 weeks ago in the bitter cold).

Well, my DH and I were supposed to leave for our honeymoon cruise this coming Sunday.
Last night, I spent 5 hours in the ED with my 14 year old DD with chest pain, shortness of breath and elevated heart rate. Now because of my side of the family history, we have to see a cardiologist.
So between worrying about her and being disappointed that we had to postpone our plans, I've been crying since last night.
My bra broke and I got my period this morning.
Oh, and the people I share an office with: total and complete bitches. Almost told one to fuck off this morning.
Oh crap, I hope she is okay. My 17 dd had a heart attack last February. Was not a good time.
Oh, how scary! How is she now?

There are five tables in our break room yet you choose to sit right next to me and talk my ear off....I guess it is back to taking my lunch in the car. Do you work with me? Woman in my office narrated the LTD catalog all through my 1/2 hour lunch break. STFU!

I guess I am lucky that my biggest vent today is that my dh did not clean up after himself when he cooked dinner Sunday night. I just did the cleaning a few minutes ago. I am thankful for him cooking the meal, but dang put your dirty dishes in the dishwasher!

We just moved from a 1,000 tank at the old house to a 500 gallon at this house. So I'm used to my propane lasting a while! What's crazy is that they were out a month ago to turn it all back on after we had the house tented, so they should have known the tank level. On top of that, they have remote monitoring of the tank level and we are supposed to be on autofill. The lady tried to say it was my fault because we didn't have autopay set up yet, I thought we did since the other house is still on our account - so 2 addresses on the same account. But apparently you have to set it up separately for each address, you would think they would at least have let me know that!

My DH has man flu, not real flu, but MAN FLU. This man flu renders him incapable of normal breathing. He moans with each breath. He is also incapable of simply drinking any type of liquid. He must slurp each sip. I’m not scheduled to work again until Sunday. I called work this morning to see if I could pick up a shift.

Customer service has really gone downhill!

Why is all the TP on the left side in every bathroom stall at work?? I had surgery on my left shoulder in December and am in a massive sling. I can't even see the TP, let alone reach it while seated! Our son’s new guest bathroom TP holder is on the left side. It was so ackward. I can’t twist at my waist (rods in back) and I struggled with the stupid TP.

I moved into a different department at work in December. They have put me right beside a guy that says the F word eleventy billion times a day, in every variation it can be used in. I am so sick of hearing his very loud obnoxious and filthy mouth. To top it off, he's also morbidly obese, as in at least 500-600 pounds and has trouble getting around. So I get to hear him complain constantly of pain in every area of his body. He announces it loud and clear for the whole department to hear. We are in cube land here, so there's no escaping it. Right this very minute he's complaining about not being able to find clothes that fit. From the way he talks, he has a very high opinion of himself. I've tried head phones with music and audio books, but his voice still breaks through that. I don't want to complain since I'm new in this department and I'm the only female engineer. Second vent: I've already over heard a rumor of people wondering if I was transferred because of sexual harassment. WTFreak! I did step in and let them know I over heard and that no, there was no personal issues, it just so happens I'm the only engineer with a high enough clearance to work the upcoming projects. River - you need to report both the profanity and the sexual harassment comment to your HR dept. Either or both could be seen as a hostile work environment. I have one manager who reports to me and uses the F word in every sentence. I finally told him to knock it off. He said he didn't think it bothered me. I told him he was wrong, very wrong.

10 girls in my troop (1 is mine), 8 registered parents (not including me and DH), and NO ONE volunteered to do cookies or even help with cookies this year. DH finally said he would but let's be real...he'll do the driving and everything else is going to be on me...like the cookie training last night with the girls followed by the cookie meeting for the parents and the order I have to figure out and place today. In addition to planning/running meetings and field trips, planning the community Thinking Day event, doing Communications for the community AND being a new leader mentor...I swear it's a fulltime job some weeks, just without the paycheque. If the girls weren't all excited about selling cookies, I would just say 'we're not selling so things will be more expensive' but...
I miss last year's cookie mum - she was awesome! (and then she moved)
