We recently got a Bunn coffee pot. In the past, while coffee was brewing, I would load or unload the dishwasher and tidy up the kitchen. My reward for the chore was a fresh cup. The Bunn has coffee ready so fast that now I'm only getting our cups out and maybe wiping the counter. It seems there are always dishes piled in the sink now and my kitchen is much messier.
Doing dishes is my most dreaded chore. Probably because my stepmom made me do the dishes by hand when I stayed with my Dad growing up, even though they had a dishwasher. I have no motivation now.

DH is the chief dishwasher. He didn't like how I did them so he took over. Before that, it was whoever didn't make the meal did the cleaning up and dishes.

Maybe do the dishes first and as soon as you're done push that brew button and your coffee will be done in no time.

I cook, and dh is suppose to do the dishes. He sucks at it though. Maybe does them 2xs a wk. It seriously irritates me. Not enough to have to actually DO them though. ha

<sigh> DH offers to do the dishes but he doesn't do them to my liking. When I go away for a crop weekend I come home and nearly have a heart attack at how he has loaded the dishwasher. Sometimes I think he does it on purpose.  |

I hate dishes too. My oldest, 21yo, and I share the duty. He unloads and I load.
