ProPublica...
.President Trump’s inaugural committee — that raised a record $106.7 million for the event — has not disclosed how much surplus money it still has or provided a final accounting of its finances.”
Why is it when it come to trump there is always something shady when it comes to money.
The other question is, is if trump did indeed pay off the Ivanka look a like Stormy where did that money come from? His pocket?

the linked story has since been updated-- the additional information includes this:
"John Noonan, counselor to Cotton on military and defense affairs, said the letter was sent to a constituent who threatened a 19-year-old intern.
"Letter went out in October. To one constituent, who called one of our 19 year old interns a c*** and threatened her physically," Noonan tweeted...."
But if that's true (and I'm inclined to believe it), then why is there no "to:" or other salutation on the memo?? Wouldn't they know who they were sending the letter to? Shouldn't the memo have at LEAST the name of the person to whom it was addressed on it? Otherwise, it does look like a general 'to anyone' sort of memo.

Letter was also not signed, or at least a fake signature...

but wait, there's more!! a FURTHER update:
FURTHER UPDATE: Noonan is now backing off his initial Tweeting. From his Twitter account:
update: tone was threatening, no threats made. But c-word invoked.
He also claims there was only one letter. My sources say that's not true and they are also disputing Noonan's account of the talk with the intern.
There was a group of activists protesting his opposition to DACA outside his office, and some of them say they also received the same letter, so there WAS more than one.
ETA: one of the tags on the article is "sh!thole countries" which strikes me as amusing- when someone searches that term, they'll also get that article about Tom Cotton.

linkApparently Senator Tom Cotton can’t handle the heat he is getting from his constituents so he wrote this letter... “This letter is immediate notification that all communication must cease and desist immediately with all offices of US Senator Tom Cotton. All other contact will be deemed harassment and will be reported to the United States Capitol Police. The Office of US Senator Tom Cotton” This is From a person who called the wimp’s office. “I received a letter from the office of U.S. Senator Tom Cotton from Arkansas after calling and expressing my grave concerns over his actions and support of this administration's agenda concerning a wide variety of subjects from the attack on our healthcare, DACA and immigration issues, to national security, to the rise of white nationalist fascism, to the environment, the gutting of our State Department, the attack on the free press...and similar deeply troubling actions & motives I've seen Senator Cotton support & condone. It was odd to receive this letter as I've called other Members of Congress to express my strong thoughts and opinions about their actions and thought this to be not only my duty as an American citizen but my First Amendment right granted all U.S. citizens by our U.S. Constitution, the foundation of our Democracy. I believe if Tom Cotton's office were to respond as to why they sent this letter, I think they just honestly don't want to listen to any citizen's opposing view or hear the numerous grave concerns U.S. citizens have about the serious & ongoing attack on our Democracy and past election cycle in which a foreign, hostile Russian government interfered, they don't want U.S. citizens to call and speak their mind and truth in a very direct manner and they obviously don't want to be held accountable for their words and actions while serving all the people in this nation. I may have used unprofessional and unbecoming language at times as the anxiety and stress of what I'm witnessing is at times too great a burden to control and I have vehemently expressed my righteous anger at Senator Cotton's complicitness with this harmful regime” If you can’t take the heat then don’t run for public office. I think this fool has grand plans to run for President. Good luck with that. Oh I would just love to see them try and enforce that threat! I feel like that would wind up being a hell of a courtroom showdown. His entire job is to listen to the people he represents and he is supposed to be acting on their behalf. Just because people with opposing views call in or write doesn’t mean they are trying to harass him. They are trying to get their concerns known to their officials WHO ARE SUPPOSED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THEM!!

Yes, it should be personally addressed, no idea why it wouldn't have been. But I feel like the media needs to be extremely cautious and specific in their reporting. Especially right now, with this administration's 'war' against the media, we don't want to to give fuel to the other side who will use any circumstance to bolster their uninformed beliefs.

seriously? I can't imagine ANY (legitimate) doctor HONESTLY endorsing habits like this as healthy. Merge , thanks for posting that article, because I hadn't heard the entire statement from the doctor. It certainly reads like he was WELL-coached on what to say, and HOW EXACTLY to say it. Now THAT actually made me snort. I couldn't make sense out of why that doctor said the things he said. Then it dawned on me today. It's because if he had one iota of negativity about Trump, he'd be blasted by the bully-in-chief and his career would tank. Yup. Sen. Lindsay Graham (sp?) admitted as much on TV this morning. Something along the lines of 'T is a street fighter. He would go after the Pope if criticised by him; he will like a nobody who agrees with him'. If I misrepresented this, please set me straight- I went out on a tour and did not see the full thing.

President Donald Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, established a private company in Delaware in October 2016 to pay hush money to former adult film star Stephanie Clifford, according to a report Thursday. Clifford, who goes by the stage name “Stormy Daniels,” allegedly had a sexual encounter with Trump in 2006. thinkprogress.org/trump-lawyer-hush-money-4eb9bcf42c52/

By Dana Milbank Opinion writer January 17 at 5:31 PM Examining the White House physician’s briefing on President Trump’s physical, I was alarmed — not about the president’s health, but the doctor’s. Rear Adm. Ronny Jackson was so effusive in extolling the totally amazing, surpassingly marvelous, superbly stupendous and extremely awesome health of the president that the doctor sounded almost Trumpian. “The president’s overall health is excellent,” he said, repeating “excellent” eight times: “Hands down, there’s no question that he is in the excellent range. . . . I put out in the statement that the president’s health is excellent, because his overall health is excellent. . . . Overall, he has very, very good health. Excellent health.” Jackson has been a well-regarded doctor. But since finding himself in Trump’s orbit, he has adopted the hyperbolic style and excessive flattery of the boss that we see in other, previously respectable members of Trump’s court. www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/is-trumps-doctor-okay/2018/01/17/0d887f50-fbce-11e7-ad8c-ecbb62019393_story.html?utm_term=.5375fceacb30&wpisrc=nl_az_most&wpmk=1

Newsweek.... “Trump will keep U.S. troops in Syria to avoid "the same mistakes" Obama did in Iraq, Rex Tillerson said bit.ly/2mPypTs” Ok. For how long and what’s the end game? By the way Iraq didm’t want us to stay. Well I guess we could have become occupiers. But that would have defeated one of the reason we did a regime change. I thought Iraq wanted troops to stay, but they didn't want to sign the status of forces agreement for legal protections of US service members. So rather then leave troops unprotected in theater, Pres Obama withdrew them.

His way of doing business is “ you are loyal to me and you don't talk about me.” If you do, you are sued and threatened and fired. Trump thinks he is God. I wouldn't bat an eye if it comes out that Trump wrote the report himself and had the doctor sign off because otherwise he would be exposed as a fraud and fired. The wole report reads reads like a Trump tweet.

“Recap of how we got here: 1 Trump rescinds DACA, demands Congress act within 6 months 2 Senate forms bipartisan talks on DACA 3 Trump promises to sign whatever group comes up with 4 Group reaches bipartisan deal 5 Trump does 180, rejects deal, leaving DACA kids to be deported”
IMO trump rescinds DACA to use solely as a bargaining chip to get his wall. He could care less what happens to those kids. It’s all about him.

linkNewsweek... “Republican congressman said ISIS was responsible for Las Vegas shooting despite complete lack of evidence bit.ly/2EVhM0p” From the article... “During a segment of the Tucker Carlson show on Friday, Pennsylvania Congressman Scott Perry floated the idea that the terrorist group ISIS was responsible for the shooting in Las Vegas that killed over 50 people in October. “I smell a rat, like a lot of Americans," Perry told Carlson on Fox News. "It’s been four months. Nothing is adding up. The man is dead. They say he’s a lone gunman, a lone shooter, and yet we can’t get the autopsy results. And more troubling than that, recently I’ve been made aware of what I believe to be credible evidence, and credible information regarding terrorist infiltration through the border regarding this incident.” Let’s face it," he continued. "ISIS twice before the attack said that they would attack Las Vegas, I think in June and August. And then after the attack they claimed responsibility four times. Meanwhile, the local law enforcement investigative services is telling us there is no terrorist connection, it’s a lone gunman. Again, something is not adding up.” So anyone agree with this guy?

“The President who was spanked with a copy of Forbes by the porn star with whom he had adulterous, unprotected sex 4 months after his 3rd wife gave birth now wants to allow "Christian" doctors and nurses to deny healthcare to LGBT people because they disapprove of that lifestyle.” I'm sorry, what? Where did you read this? Doesn't that go against their oath? Maybe I'm remembering things based on fiction I've read but this just doesn't seem like something they would be allowed to do. Certainly not ethical. I have to hope the source is wrong.

But he has a huge donor party satrday night with people paying 100,000 and up for a seat, so my guess is he'll somehow 'resolve' the budget issue so he can get to his party. priorities, people.
