I recently decided that I had to have this 8.5" paper trimmer but when I got it there was a nick in the blade which prevented it from cutting smoothly. I emailed their customer service and in less than 2 hours I had a reply saying that they will be sending me a replacement trimmer. No questions asked! I replied back thanking them so much! A few minutes after the email I then received a call from the same lady who had sent me the email. A phone call! She had realized that the trimmer that needed replaced was out of stock but that they will send it as soon as it's back in stock! SUPER IMPRESSIVE! Btw...I am going to LOVE this trimmer! The size is perfect! It will cut 8.5" length paper and yet the trimmer is not bulky.

Tonic had replaced my Nuvo drops with wonderful customer service as well. Good company to support with our money!

Very impressive nicolep! I have 2 tonic trimmers and love them. I saw in the sneaks video @zingermack posted in another thread that TH is also re-releasing the 12 inch small base guillotine if anyone is interested. It's great because it doesn't take up much room but still cuts 12x12.

That is awesome. I haven’t purchased it because I love my CM personal trimmer. Anyone know how they compare?

Their customer service is the reason I choose them over their competition. They really are great!

That is awesome. I haven’t purchased it because I love my CM personal trimmer. Anyone know how they compare? I have both. I wasn't going to get the Tonic because my CM has been a workhorse for a decade. But I'm glad I got the Tonic. It is much lighter. For some reason I feel like I can see where I'm cutting better. I like that I can now cut my 8.5x11 papers. I hate to sound shallow, but I also really like the gray color vs. the blue CM. I haven't touched my CM since I bought my Tonic.

The one I got is gray and red but they are showing a black/white one on their site now. It must be the newer one but it's still the same model, the 160E.

Yeay for great customer service. And yeay for calling it ou, nicolep. I love that, as much as we call out negative CS on some sites/vendors, we talk up those who do their best to help out and don't treat people who have legitimate product issues as somehow scheming to get something for nothing.

That is awesome. I haven’t purchased it because I love my CM personal trimmer. Anyone know how they compare? I have both also, and my CM is basically just a blade storage drawer now. The Tonic trimmer is larger, heavier and sturdier. It cuts more reliably without shifting. A must-have tool IMO.

I really don’t want larger, and I also don’t have trouble with things shifting when I trim on the CM cutter. So, I guess I am going to stick with what I’ve got. Thanks for sharing too as it helps me.

I love their customer service. That's the biggest reason why I suggest people buy Tim's stamping platform over the Misti...Misti doesn't back her product for all that long and horror stories about her customer services is all over the internet...meanwhile, all I hear about Tonic is how amazing they are with handling defective products. Glad to hear of another one! Enjoy your new trimmer!

Yes, I will continue to use my CM for my photos and my CutterPillars for my papers (yes I have the big one and the smaller one). I think I am super happy with the 3 I have. Also the CM one fits in my Tonic Table Tidy. Hmmm, I wonder if their own trimmer fits in their own Table Tidy?
