To start a garden! Who is with me? Tomorrow I think at I will start some spinach.
5 out if my 9 chickens laid eggs today, and one duck. During peak laying season I should be getting I turkey egg, 5 duck eggs and 6-9 chickens a day.
Fresh. Spinach and eggs is something I do like .

AeroGarden. My tomatoes have blossoms, and I have had fresh lettuce for 3 weeks and I just started them December 15. ![](http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r481/2peasrefugees/Smilies/thumbup.jpg.gif)

My arugula is coming in nicely as my spinach and cilantro limp along. I'm harvesting radishes and want to start more. I need to get tomatoes started as well.

My geraniums are about to bloom again and my basil has set seed. LOL
I love gardening under lights. No bugs! I do have to use Miracle-Gro or something not organic as fertilizer most of the time or face a revolt from my family. Somehow, they manage not to mention that using organic can STINK! LOL and get fuzzy with mold.
sometimes i can slide my plants out and add some worm castings deep enough that they don’t smell too much, but I inevitably get caught. LOL
Can’t wait to get out in the garden. Might try to do some more clean up this weekend if the weather holds. If I get the beds cleaned, I could go ahead and plant some more greens. I have canopies to put over them if it gets too cold, but you really can’t get TOO cold for established greens. Patrick on One Yard Revolution on YouTube often shows video of his greens completely frozen one day and growing fine the next. He’s just outside of Chicago, so if he can grow them in the winter, I can do it in GA.

Isn't it about time to plant onions and potatoes? My inlaws were always planting them in mid winter along with beets. Of course here in Central Texas, we probably will only have one more freeze. Though with this crazy weather, who knows.

I’m dying to start here in my new yard but it’s way too early in Ohio. I did order dahlia tubers a while back. It’s full sun here too.
This year I’m going to make a box with a window top to grow in cold.

Ha ha - we had 8" of snow here yesterday. It's not even on my radar.

I couldn't sleep the other night so I lay in bed planning out my flowers for this year. Last year I bought 16 hanging baskets and 3 flats of annuals. Plus several perennials. That was a tad too much. But, I'm dreaming of warmer weather and planting. Won't be until after Mothers Day here though.

Ha ha - we had 8" of snow here yesterday. It's not even on my radar. Yep. We got BIG snow last night. I do want to have my very first veggie garden this year though, so I need to do some learning about how/when/what. I am awesome with flowers, but know nothing at all about growing veggies.

We got about an inch of snow yesterday. That is it for our winter. I live in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. I think we are going to get dumped on in a few months, so I am curtailing the itch. I will say it brought me great happiness to see the garden stuff come out on the shelves December 26th though.

Even though we're having unseasonably warm weather, it's too early to plant here. Come March and I'll be crazy to get into the garden. The chickens are starting to lay again though and that makes me happy! About time they came off scholarship!

Since I can't do what I used to be able to do, my gardening consists mostly of sitting in a lawn chair and directing the fam on what to do out in the garden. I get to do easy things that can be done at a card table and I also plan the layout and start the seedlings myself but the work of getting out there and prepping, heaving shovel fulls of compost, and the other hard labor? That part I supervise.
We had a more successful year last year than any since we moved here and I'm hoping for a repeat. We had a few duds and we learned some things so hopefully this year will be even better.
