Sorry, I don't know how to fix them, if there's a way.
But I do remember a Chinese penpal telling me a long (long) time ago that if you drop certain kinds of pens (I think she said specifically Japanese or Chinese pens) they can might not write smoothly any more. I guess maybe they got bubbles in the ink...? Seems ridiculous to me.
I hope someone has a suggestion to help.

I’ve never gotten the ones that start to skip to work again over 20+ years of using them. I got to the point where I threw almost all of mine away and vowed never to buy any of them ever again.

No. Just throw them away.

I've had some success with pulling off the tip and cleaning it out with a toothpick or paper piercer. It has worked for me about 75% of the time, and I've saved quite a few pens.

It is funny that this has come up. Last weekend, I was cleaning out my room/stash and came across some OLD gelly roll pens. Most of them did not work, so I took a heating pad, and put them on it for about a half hour, then stored them vertically, and I got many of them to start working again. Not all of them, but a few were salvaged. Worth a try.

I've got the ink flowing again by briefly holding a flame to the roller part (metal tip only) of the pen then scribbling to clear the roller. If that doesn't work then I'd toss it.

I usually don't bother because nothing I've done seems to work. But some of these ideas sound they'd be worth a go.
