I attended two classes taught by Heartfelt Creations today. They were hosted by a local stamp club, and it was great.
I love their stamps, most of which have die sets to match. I have bought plenty of those matching dies prior to now. I got 6 new stamp sets, two of which were free, but started mentally adding up the cost of matching dies. I decided to just order the Scan 'n' Cut instead, since the cost of those matching dies would pay for about half of it. This will let me cut out all my stamps, most of which have no matching dies.

Yay for you!
I have a Scan N Cut. Love it. Works great with all my stamps. Never have to buy a die again.

I hope you love yours as much as I love mine. I got mine last Friday and it's had quite the workout making Valentine's Day cards since then. It's great to revisit those stamp sets that never had matching dies.

Congrats!! I’m trying really hard to not buy one, but somehow I see one coming to me in the not too distant future! I have ZERO restraint and the more I see about the scan-n-cut, the more I feel that I have to have one!

Congrats! If I were much of a stamper, I would have bought the SNC2 instead of the Silhouette.

scrapnnana I'd love to hear your review when you have had a chance to play with your new machine. I've seen your posts where you had decided not to give in to the temptation of buying one because you already have a Cameo, you have mastered your PixScan mat, and space is an issue. I haven't even opened my PixScan mat, and now I don't even want to, but space is the real problem for me, so the fact that you caved makes me want to do so as well! In fact, by the time you get your review posted, I may already have mine too...

Thanks, everyone, for sharing in my excitement!
Streetscrapper, my biggest issue with the PixScan mat is that once the stamped images are on the mat, it's not always easy to get a photo that the PixScan will accept, even though I have an exceptional camera on my phone. If I want to stamp at night, I just can't seem to get a good photo. I have tried taking a picture under my Ott light, as well as with household lighting, and I have still had to wait till the next morning, hoping it is a sunny day. That is a huge inconvenience. Then I need to get the picture loaded into my software and trace it. The last two steps aren't a big deal, but the photo issue is.
Since I have no scrapbook or stamp store near me, I go to conventions when they come to my area. Normally I spend at least the cost of the Scan N Cut machine every time I go to a stamping/scrapbooking convention. There is one tomorrow. I had planned to go but decided to stay home due to the high flu risk right now. I bought the machine instead of spending the money at convention. I decided that the machine would be a smarter choice at this point, and it makes me feel a lot better about missing tomorrow's convention.
Kind of convoluted reasoning, I know, and it may not work for everyone, but DH said I should just go ahead and buy it, so I did. I ordered from Amazon since no one locally sells it. And it just arrived as I was typing this! WOOHOO!!! Off to play!

scrapnnana thanks for the input! I really know nothing about the PixScan mat but bought one a couple of weeks ago thinking it was going to be a lot easier than my method which is too involved to even think about typing out, and something I do only when I know I’m going to want to cut out MULTIPLE stamped images. But reading about the issues with the PixScan mat, which are similar to what you describe and worse, and seeing how easy the scan-n-cut is, knowing how impatient I am, I know I don’t need another reason to put off buying one. I’m returning the PixScan mat that I’ve never even attempted to use because I just caved and ordered a scan-n-cut too! You convinced me!

Which of the 2 models are you guys ordering? If I’ve understood correctly, there are 2 different versions of the SNC2...

For some reason I thought the Scan and Cut was another Silhouette or Cricut type of machine. I didn’t know you could cut your scanned images. Interesting.

I have the Scan N Cut 2 CM350
I have spent every minute playing with it today that I could, just to get a feel for what it can do. Sadly, there are some stamps that do not cut well in the machine if they have gaps (think distressed stamped images) or are tiny details. For those I may have to resort to the PixScan mat and my Silhouette still.
Overall, though, this machine is going to be a very fun addition to my crafting!

Streetscrapper, enjoy your new cutter!
The Silhouette will still be my go to cutter for other things, but for fussy cutting stamps, this is so much easier than the PixScan mat!

I think I quoted you on the wrong post, but if a stamped image doesn't seem to want to scan, try this.
It's getting too late for me to hunt for a YouTube video on it, but if the outline of the stamped image has a gap in it, use a pencil and draw a line to close the gap. You can also just use a pencil and draw around an image and cut it out that way. Anyway, the pencil technique is helpful and hope this makes sense. Erase the pencil marks when finished.

You too! And I agree, the Silhouette will be my go to cutter but I really see the Scan-N-Cut helping eliminate fussy cutting!

I have cut several sheets of printables on the SNC. Some were gridded journal boxes and others were the monthly Cocoa Daisy subscriber printables. Next I’m going to try the sheet of labels included in Kelly Purkey’s kits.

Enjoy your new machine. I love those matching dies, if I had space for the scan and cut, I'd want one.

I was just watching the 2108 Creativation video for the SnC and man, I want it too now! I thought it was just another Silhouette. I like the thought of not having to buy matching dies anymore.
