It comes in every possible color but I'm leaning toward Taupe or Champagne. I like it better without the wrap but since it's an April wedding I will probably appreciate having a little extra layer as the night goes on.

I know đ My son in laws Mum wore big black and white spots to their wedding in April. I get that you shouldnât scene steal but there must be something with just a little more oomph to it thatâd suit you? I donât agree that you need to be invisible.

I'ts a lovely dress. I will be a MOG in October and I will definitely not be wearing beige. I look horrible in that color. I think you can wear any color that compliments the dresses being worn by the bridal party and/or the MOB. Your child is getting married too!

Their colors are pink (gag) and gold. I like the darker colors but it's a spring wedding so I'm torn.
Black and white spots - YIKES!

I like it - and while taupe wouldn't be my first choice for a dress, when you take into account their colors (pink and gold) I think taupe would fit right in.

I don't think it's about being invisible, it's about easily coordinating with whatever colors the bride chooses. OP, if you look good in taupe/champagne - I think it can be a beautiful choice. If it's not a flattering color and you KNOW what the colors of the wedding are and what the mother of the bride is wearing, choose something complementary. In your situation with all of the unknown and flux, I'd choose champagne and not worry about any unexpected drama.

I think champagne might go well with the pink and gold colors.

I love the dress. And I really love it in that dark purple shown. Is there any way you could wear that color?

That dress is perfect. With your coloring, I think you can pull off the champagne color. The plum color is really pretty too, depending on the colors of the wedding.

It definitely seemed that way when I read the thread but of course champagne can look nice on the right skin tone and actually, hearing that the wedding colours are pink and gold it probably would work well.

I think the cut of the dress is lovely. I think champagne is a beautiful color for a dress. It looks classy and photographs well.

The dress is pretty and I love the color as shown, but I do think that it would stand out too much in a pink and gold themed wedding party. I wish you could click on the color swatch and the dress color would change. The champagne sounds pretty, but I'd like to see how it translates with the decorative ribbon/lace.

I'm sure depending on the individuals involved, it can even be meant that way. In general though, I think it's recommended so you're not at the mercy of waiting for everyone else - at least in my world. I actually think my MIL chose her dress before anyone else (and yes it was a beautiful champagne color which suited her well). It took me forever to coordinate a time to pick the bridesmaid dresses as my attendants were scattered around the country, and I really wanted to pick something flattering, so wanted at least some of them there. I really didn't settle on "colors" at most 6 months before hand, but it could have been closer to 3-4. I know my Mom was literally shopping 2 weeks before the wedding for her dress as she just had a terrible time finding something. And for the record, I think the whole "coordinating" is way over done. I really did not care what anyone wore to my wedding and while I appreciate that some people really cared that the big group wedding shots were color coordinated - I really am not one of them. I would much rather people find a dress they feel fabulous in - in whatever color suits them.

I think the dress is lovely, and the coat it's shown with looks very elegant. Is there any way you can order a couple of colour swatches and then make a decision?

I don't think I've ever seen a dress come in so many colors! I think I'd order a couple color swatches, like the champagne and gold and anything else and then see what they look like in person.

Nope! I wore green. Anything but bridal white is fine. I love the dress in the eggplant color, as shown.

I love the dress! I think champagne is a really pretty color as long as it compliments you also. I would wear a color that looks good on you and also compliments the wedding.
At my DD's wedding I actually wore the same color as the bridesmaids. I picked the dress out and my daughter chose the color for me to wear based on what looked good on me. My son in laws mother wore navy and looked very pretty in it.
