I've been scrapping more than a decade and digiscrapping for several years. I have also made many photobooks. I have not scrapped at all since 2013, while my dh & I were separated (now reconciled.) I'm ready to start again, with the focus being on myself and my legacy because in 2012 I was diagnosed with liver disease and am on the list to be get a transplant. So I need even easier than actual scrapping, and want to stay digital. I've bought the PL app for my phone/iPad and have just asked to join some PL groups on FB, to see where I best fit in.
I have hundreds of digital scrapping kits, and even quite a few that are made to work with PL. But can I use those that aren't officially PL, as in are they compatible? I would like to, of course, but what are the file types for the PL images? Also, can I easily print the pages as a photobook via Shutterfly instead of purchasing via the PL app?

This is not my area of expertise but... You can use outside digital materials, but not directly in the app. You have to use a secondary app. I have used letterglow with a lot of success. Other people talk about using Over, Rhonna designs and if you have an ipad pro you can use Affinity. There are facebook groups for app scrappers, and one called app scrappers and beyond, that share a lot of tips. I have not printed any books, so I can not answer that part of your question either (some help I am lol) but I have seen that discussed in both of those groups also. People have done it w/ varying amounts of success have fun and good luck!

You can export PL AP files and send them to anywhere to have them printed. I have used Costco with no issues.
