Will all TM’s have them? I haven’t been in one for a long time but my Bigshot just bit the dust a few months ago and that is such a great price! The last time I was in one they had just opened and I don’t even remember them having craft stuff. I hope it wasn’t just “my” store.

The sale started yesterday and I have heard some stores have already sold out so there is no guarantee.

i just have the CB. do the sides fold up on these too? No, the sides don't fold up. But it is worth the space because it is a tougher machine and will cut most intricate dies better than the CB. A friend had a CB and had a die that would NOT cut through no matter how it was shimmed, tried a friend's Big Shot, it cut perfectly. She then got a Big Shot and most of her troublesome dies are no longer troublesome. Her CB sits in a closet unless needed.

I love my cuttlebug but I have a few dies that don't work so hoping they will work with the big shot. I haven't had time to test it yet. I think I may need to buy different plates though but hoping not.

And, it is such a pretty color! What color is it? ETA: Nevermind. I saw on youtube it is aqua colored. I just bought my white/gray one over Christmas, so I am good, anyway..

I have the old pink and black Big Shot. I use it almost every time I scrap and it’s still going strong. I think that since the larger platform ones came out Sizzix might be clearing out the regular sized models. Thats a great price.

mamakoala Thanks for posting this! I was able to snag one and I am so happy. I was going to put it off cause I have been getting a little ugly with the scrap spending lately- but I just couldn't pass up the price!

do I need this?? I have a Silhouette Cameo already, but I do NOT own any sort of manual die cutter...
I bought a manual die cutter at TM once a year or so ago, had buyer's remorse, and returned it. But I know a lot of stamp sets come with dies now, and I have also gotten a bit more into card making recently... and you can use the Big Shot to EMBOSS with embossing folders, right? (I'm trying to think of things I can't do with my Silhouette, for justification, lol!)
How wide is the platform, and how many accessories would I have to buy to make it useable?
help a girl out with the enabling, lol!!!

How wide is the platform, and how many accessories would I have to buy to make it useable? help a girl out with the enabling, lol!!! I saw your post TM sold out. I am sorry. If you are still thinking I can help with Pro's and Con's. Big Shot is more popular with cardmakers that the Silhouette machine. When it comes to stamp/die combos I personally don't like them. I never get the "offset" I like. I know a lot of crafters don't mind that. I think it is because I use my electronic machines I don't like the look of the stamp/die combo. With all the money you spend on stamp/die combos maybe the PicScan mat or a Scan n Cut would be a better investment in the long run. Only if that is something you wold really get into, though. I fussy cut all my stamp images. I LOVE TO EMBOSS!!!! I love it! Big Shot is overkill for embossing, if that is the only thing you want to do. If you want to emboss only Sizzix makes a machine just for embossing called the Texture Boutique. My Hobby Lobby keeps them in stock. They did let me use a coupon for the Sizzix Vintaj. I went through the manager to make sure I didn't have any coupon Hobby Lobby drama's. If that is a tip that would help anybody. I got my Sizzix Vintaj for $50. You could pick up the Texture Boutique for about $20-$30. Another little tip you can make embossing folders with your Cameo to use in your manual die cut machines. Lots of great tutorials on Pinterest and YouTube. I will say the embossing with Big Shot is OMG BEAUTIFUL!!!! Deep and rich just Ohhhhhhh. Here's the overview with the size on the Big Shot- www.sizzix.com/660425/sizzix-big-shot-machine-only-white-grayThis is my big grump with the Sizzix. I feel like i have to buy a lot of accessories to make it work. Some girls don't and they are guru's about this. Maybe some of our girls have some tricks. I bought the Precision Base Plate for my intricate dies- www.sizzix.com/660320/sizzix-accessory-precision-base-plate-for-intricate-thinlits-dies That is probably not needed. You start working with a lot of intricate dies and your grocery bags, parchment paper, wax paper crazy combos we all do gets really old fast. I had to buy the Sizzix Wafer Thin Die Adapter for my thin dies. Those are most of the dies on the market now. Some of the girls have made shims to use thin dies. I know there are some YT videos. You will want a couple of extra cutting plates. I use four for cutting and two for embossing. You will need a rubber shim if you are going to emboss your dies. Some girls use Dollar Tree foam. I tried that but my foam fell apart. I love the Big Shot because I do use it with my steel rule dies to cut fabric, metal, acetate, other materials that are not paper. It is worth it's weight in gold for those things. I feel like it is overkill for my thin rule dies. I don't have a permanent place for it when I can set it up easily. I do have to move it to my desk. I have a Cuttlebug and will be upgrading that. She is on her last legs. That is the machine I prefer for cardmaking. I use my Big Shot for heavy duty projects. The BigShot is nice, sturdy and heavy. If you have lil' ones make sure they can't pull it down off somewhere easily because it will hurt them. Sizzix has great customer service and backs their products. They do have really nice dies. I love their steel rule dies. I just got the Brenda Walton bow die for a gift. I am like two years old excited making bows now, lol. Instagram @sizzix has lots of inspiration if that helps.
