After uploading 100 images to Winkflash today I discovered that they are no more! Their website is still up, still allows uploads, but you can't place an order. They seem to have shut their doors rather suddenly on Aug. 25. No one knows why. ArticleSo who do you use for photo prints? I haven't been happy with Walgreens or Walmart in the past. Any suggestions?

Hi. I use Shutterfly or Costco. Or print my self at home. I have had good luck with both. I would do a small order with each, to see how you like the quality. I have found Costco's can vary, so if you have a choice, use two different stores. Quality is like many things, in the eye of the beholder. I try to keep it simple as I have ordered duplicates before. I had a deal for snapfish and uploaded and printed a lot of prints. Then when I had a big retreat coming up. I did not see the prints on shutterfly, so uploaded and printed them again!!! I then, of course, found the ones from snapfish, just not scrapped yet I have read many people love persnickty prints also, but I have not tried them. I miss scrapbook.pictures.com!

I use Costco and really love the quality of their prints over Walmart and Shutterfly. They're really fast too. Usually ready within a few hours, but guaranteed by noon the next day. They have really good sales every now and then too!

I also use Costco and print at home. My Costco does a much better job than my CVS and Walgreens. The main reason that I don't use mail order sites is the wait to get my pictures. I'm wait too impatient.

Someone at TwoPeas turned me on to York Photo. You can upload from your phone, too, and the quality is AMAZING. Their prints are always 9 cents and they have half off sales at times. They just had a 3 cent print sale over labor day weekend! If you want to try them, I'd more more than happy to send you an invite through York Photo--it uses me as a referral, but you get free prints to see if you like it! Just PM me your email address if you'd like to.

I use Shutterfly or Snapfish, whoever has a deal (right now Snapfish has one for 99 prints for .99) I have used Winkflash before, but not in quite some time. Can't believe there hasn't been an email to their customers.

I'm another fan of Costco. I'm not organized enough to figure out what I need with enough time to order from somewhere if I have to wait to get them. It's convenient too since I'm always going there for groceries and other stuff anyway.

Shutterfly or Persnickety Prints. How do you like Persnickety Prints? I'm considering using them for the Collect App photos. Have you used them for Collect? Thanks!

My first choice is persnickity prints...I sometimes use snapfish. If I'm having an "emergency" I print/pick up @ my local walgreens.

I have ordered from them for several years. I do like the quality of persnickety prints, but do not like the way their shopping cart is set up. It has been a while since I ordered from them, hopefully it has changed.

I like to print my own at home because I use all kinds of different sizes. I never know what size I want until I am ready to scrap that page.

I'm sad about winkflash. I've been ordering from them for years..... I use snap fish on occasion, but sometimes the quality is iffy. I would use costco when I had one near me. Now it's too far for the occasional printing I do. I used York back when you would mail them a roll! Maybe I should give them a try again!

Thanks for letting us know about Winkflash. Hopefully I will get an email from them about photo retrieval.
I used to use Costco but found that all I ever bought from Costco was pictures. Not really worth the annual membership fee so I let it expire.
I've used Snapfish with good results in the past. However, I recently got an email from them saying I haven't ordered from them in quite a while so they wanted to give me 50 free prints. I ordered them and just received them yesterday. They are awful. The paper is very thin and some of the pictures are blurry. I thought the 1 cent prints were low quality! I was ready to start scrapping a vacation mini with those pictures but I'm thinking I might try Persnickety Prints or Mpix next. The times when I had good results were when I did not have a coupon code, a 50 free prints offer, or order 1 cent prints.

A friend of mine got an e-mail from Winkflash telling her they were going out of business and that they were going to find a way to help folks transfer photos and projects. I was surprised as she hasn't used them in quite a while and I just uploaded a ton of photos and I didn't get the e-mail.

Wow, I just went and looked at Persnikety - pricey! 29 cents a print. I guess that's why the quality is so good.
