Such beautiful layouts everybody! Welcome back maribeth ! I used a 4x6, patterned paper, staples, a mini alpha, inking, and a camera. Thanks for the great challenge, crystalb . This is also my Layout a Day page where the challenge was to use lots of different alphas. It's kind of hard to see, but DH's Coke says that it belongs to Santa. LOAD1 by Jacqueline Bruce, on Flickr Great use of letters! What a cute story to tell. I am so glad you are playing here and at LOAD! That camera is so intricate. Thank you for playing!

It's fun to see everyone's take on the challenge! Here are some journaling cards for a couple of pocket page layouts on our summer road trip. I have an idea to take one of my redwood photos, print it as a 9x12, then cut it into 12 squares. The little square card will replace one of the photo squares. I'm still struggling as to how to print the 9x12 at Costco. It looks like Photoshop is the only option, so I'm trying that tomorrow. I used patterned paper, flowers, sticker letters, a 4x6 photo, inked edges, and drew some stitching around a heart. Click to enlarge or see in Gallery, which I finally figured out how to use again! These are so fun. Great use of the various paper. I think your idea of putting the little square in will be great, i hope you get it figured out. Thank you for playing!

Everyone did such an amazing job. And thank you for the wonderful comments..gotta figure out where the gallery ya'll are talking about. I just used my facebook image. There is a 2peas Refugees FLIKR (FLICKR?) gallery. I believe it is a pinned post either on this board or the introductory/general board. I do know you have to request permission. Sorry I am not more help but hopefully that gets you started.

Here's mine: happiness is retirement day by Cindy Blair, on Flickr I love the soft colors of this one. I really really like the top cluster. Thank you for playing!

What an amazing start for the month! Keep 'em comin', crafty people! Here is my take on this challenge on the right hand page. I was also trying to mimic the border used in the process video from SCT I shared the other day, using some strips of pp from my stash. I will count the left side as a Free Style in the Tally thread. School pics Calgary '17 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I used pp for a background, used the stars on the pp to frame the cutapart, inked some edges, used a staple, and some small letter stickers to identify the kids. There are also some cameras on one of the strips for good measure. I always love your double page spreads, so cohesive and such adorable subjects! Thanks for organizing this nad playing along too! Wonderwoman you are!

IT IS OPEN UNTIL March 5th right grammadee ? I hope I didn't cause too much confusion. Please forgive me!

Day 1- used 1)4"x6" photo, 2)stitching, 3)flowers, 4)inking on edges, 5)paperclip ,6)patterned background paper 7) 2 frames. This is the quilt I made my husband a couple of Christmases ago, had quilted last Christmas & finished the binding this Christmas! I am not sure how to attach the photo from Flickr here, so I did this linkThank you for your patience with me. This is really fun! Ok- so I am a total disaster. I now "disenrolled" from Gallery & have begged the Admin. To let me back in. You can see it in my Flickr account. 😢😬 7 things WOW! I am impressed, I am sure it is amazing. I am jealous you can quilt. I cannot sew a button on let alone anything else. Thank you for playing! You can see her page in the Gallery now, HERE. It is beautiful!

crystalb - Great layout, always envious of pages that use multiple photos, I have such a difficult time making those work for me. woodysbetty - What a wonderful layout. I have always wanted to try using the strips for journaling but I fail dismally when I try it. kiwigirl - Kitty page!!! You can't go wrong with a kitty page, but yours is really well done. Your Nuvo dot frame is spectacular. msliz - As I said before, GORGEOUS. I have got to scraplift this one. I love everything about this page. @elaynef - Beautiful page, love the color combo, such a great use of the memorabilia. I pick everything up to, unfortunately I have a difficult time using it on a layout. tonyatoo - Wow you go girl on those layers. Well done. I am intimidated by layers, you have a handle on this technique. stinkerbelle - Great page (and what a gift). You page feels fresh, contemporary and on trend. Lovely. justjac - Hi! Love it. I wanted to do LOAD but time got away from me and I forgot to register. I really like the colors you used in this layout, and great use of all those alphas. I would have had difficulty with this LOAD prompt, to OCD I think to mix fonts. oaksong - Great cards. I have been working on a Roldex swap, my first time scrapping on a small space. Yours are wonderful. scrapincin - Hi! Great page. I love the soft feel of this page, great use of color and all the elements. Are you doing all digital now? grammadee - I see a theme going on here in these first two challenges - you are scrapping school photos. Doing a might find job of it may I say. Wonderful page to capture these wonderful times in life. nylene - You are halfway through meeting the Pokey Pea Challenge of 4 layouts a month already...YAY! Your pages are always so polished, always make me smile. LisaDV - Ohh La La - I am in love with those pattern papers and the colors. GREAT LAYOUT! mamakoala - crisp, fresh, contemporary and on trend. I love the look and feel of this layout, and the fact that the stitching even feels fresh is a bonus. Usually when I think of stitching I think of "cutsie, or homey" the stitching here does not make me feel that way at all. anniefb - I love the color pallet you used in the background. Working on a similar color pallet for my Day 5 challenge, however I seem to have difficulty with the softer colors, mine tend to be bold. Your layout is wonderfully soft and beautiful. JaneB - striking imagery, wonderful work, you rock in photoshop. thracian - You layout is wonderful, the mix of patterns and the placement of you embellishments. It totally freaked me out before I read the jounaling because immediately that photo looked so familiar.....Whew, I was in the Twilight Zone myself for a moment. I love creating page for well loved TV shows and episodes. Terrific. DawnMcD - Love the use of multiple photos, and the entire spread gives a frosty wintery feel. Wonderful.

That and the flowers are the perfect touches tonyatoo I love all the layers and cute school embellishments! maribeth wow girl, can’t believe how many pages you have done so quickly! Your embellishing is perfect! linda I’m so glad you were able to get the picture scrapped and that you’re so happy with the result justjac what a cute photo! I'm just learning to design my layout on the Silhouette first and that makes me faster. So nice to have you back.

OMG! Everyone's layouts are so nice. I'm enjoying looking and reading through the posts. I'm already behind, I know, the deadline isn't until March but I am using all these great challenges to tackle my backlog of photos. Guess I know what I'll be doing tomorrow. Not complaining.

Lovely work! Here's my contribution for this challenge. It's card-sized, but could work as an art journal type page too. Matter of Mind by Jane Bradbury, on Flickr I used items from Organic, Not Too Shabby and Twirl by Shabby Princess. The main focal point is Eliaz by Rebecca McMeen, the background, cardboard and quote are also from the kit Eliaz. Created in Photoshop - of course Oh, I should say which 5 items I picked! Staple, paperclip, patterned paper background, small alpha stickers and stitching.
