Thank you for enabling. Looks like a good kit. I like that it has a stamp set. Seems like a decent price also. I have never done Week in the Life before, but this might tempt me to try it.
I wonder if she will have any info about the Story kits up soon. I'm interested to see what they look like. |

I am skipping it, but it's not easy to say no, I love that blue album. I do WITL but I also do Project Life so I can't really justify doing a separate album.

hmmmm. I LOVE the idea of week in the life --- and I've taken the photos before and even blogged it, but I never seem to get around to scrapbooking it. Off to check it out.

Just seems too expensive to me, but that is because I love everything but the stamp. If I liked the stamp or was sure I could sell it to offset the cost I would get it.

I am going to try documenting a week in the life this year. I have not (successfully) finished a week before, I don't pocket scrap, I don't do Project Life or December Daily and the end of October/November is the month I take the least amount of pictures during the year. However the fact that there is a kit and a message board talked me into it...
I chose the gray album, gray seems to be my go to color choice lately...

I don't have time to do this right now but I love having a project that is temporary. I did December Daily for the first time 2013 and really loved it. Will definitely to it again this year.
I usually one do travel journals so one day this will be fun.

Ok, update. I think I am going to do this.
If I "copy" her layouts and take plenty of photos, I might be able to do it.
It's such a nice kit.
I might even start stamping!

Here's my plan:
I am going to take a gazillion photos next week or the week after.
Then I am going to print some of those. I really can only do this if I have some photos ahead of time. If there's something I want a different size for then I'll print from home. That's what I did for December Daily. I would take a bunch of photos then do more than one layout on the weekend days when I had more time. I finished just a few days after Christmas that way. I need to stop being so finicky about layouts too!

It seems really pricey to me for what you get, and makes me doubt I'll be ordering her story kits even tho I'm very interested. Like Studio Calico, you seem to be paying for name and "exclusivity". I just can't add the contents up to make them equal the cost!

I got the gold album as well.
I agree that the contents aren't really worth $50.
However, I am paying for Ali's experience, teaching, amazing creative skills, and approach.
Sure, she puts a lot of this free out there on the Internet and someone could easily follow along without the kit. But I think the kit is nice and I also really value the time and effort she has put into her whole business because it INSPIRES me to be creative. Because of her, I have a Dec. Daily album that I will treasure forever.
As a teacher myself I value this and don't mind paying a bit extra for the "brand."
I know how much I will treasure this book when I am done with it. Just the little things that I would never think to document -- like doing the laundry and walking to the bus stop. I'm really looking forward to it.

I'm on the fence, but not because of the price. I have followed along w/ her week in the life for two years now and already have a "system". The kit is so cute though, and might just get it anyway lol.

Oooo, I just might need to get in on this! I have a small week in the life mini-album, and it is definitely one of my and my kids favorite projects I have done. They've even asked me a few times to do it again, and this is great inspiration to do just that!

I think with all of these projects it would be cheaper to put together your own kit. It's just easier when everything is already there for you. A couple years ago I did an 8x8 1 photo/1 layout a day album using a kit I made from my stash and it's one of my few completed projects. If I'm able to complete the full Day in the Life project using Ali's kit, I'll try to make my own stash kits to do the project in the future.

Also sitting on the fence. I've done WIL three times before and it's one of my favorite projects. I also think the kit is a bit pricey, yet I get that I'm paying for Ali the brand. Will have to mull this over...especially since Cathy Zielske's new class at BPC has caught my eye and I don't think I can commit to doing both at once. Yes, I could just do either whenever I wanted, but I like the idea of knowing that I'm working on my project at the same time as others. Seeing people blog about it and doing it "live" with others helps keep me motivated.

I bought the kit with the grey album! I am so excited! After I saw her design plan that she is going to repeat for all 7 days, I knew for sure I wanted to try to make an album in this format. I love that the kit is going to come with all the page protectors to follow Ali's design for all 7 days. Plus the kit is cute too!
