Never a dull moment with this group. Leah Remini's response says it better than I can. Thoughts? Did the ad play in your market?

I saw the ad and thought it was unusual to have that kind of ad during the Super Bowl. I don’t believe I have ever seen a Scientology ad before.
I agree with Leah

Either it didn't air in my area or I didn't see it.

I didn't see it in Houston. Not saying it didn't air here, just that I didn't catch it if it did.

I didn't see it last night, but I did just watch it online.
I think Leah Rimeni's response was spot on.

I don't think we got the Scientology ad. I'm wondering if it was when got the Ashley Furniture ad? That seemed more regional to me than the others.

The ad ran at least an 90 minutes before the game here. I only remember because we were still at home and DD left for work about the time it ran. I wonder how many people will wander into a Scientology store front today, disenchanted with their loss yesterday, looking for some meaning to their life.

It didn't run in the Seattle area. My BFF (in LA) texted me when it was airing and saying she couldn't believe it - we were getting the Jack in the Box vs. Martha commercial at that moment.

I didn't see it. We must have had a local spot as I saw quite a few local political ads.

It ran here but not surprising as we are close to a couple of their larger centers. I didn't notice the ad itself just saw the part where it said their web site. I then watched from the link posted above and yeah that doesn't look like a church to me at all. That looked like a high tech company.

I understand that churches don’t pay taxes here ,Scientology to me is a sect but their followers see it has a church . So what are their requirement can you worship Satan and still be consider it to be a church and not pay taxes ? How does it work .

Kinda...still, I don't see how scientology qualifies for tax exempt status. Can't see how several Christian or other churches qualify either... ![](http://i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/813/372/c30.gif) Here's what the IRS says:

The commercial was vague and weird. It was!!!!!!!!!!! Made me have the same goosebumps as when we get too close to the Clearwater, FL compound!!! I had to wonder if it's a coincidence that suddenly we're seeing movies and interviews with Tom Cruise and John Travolta. Maybe the "church" needs more cashflow? Hope they fold quickly!!!!!!!!!!!! BTW, I don't think I've ever seen an ad for the Catholic church.

Didn't play in our market - not surprising as we're smack in the middle of the bible belt and folks would've lost their ever-lovin' minds to see a non-Christian religion advertised on TV, though most hardcore Christians around here are "boycotting the NFL" anyway, so ostensibly they wouldn't have seen it.

In the bible belt here as well and did not see it, but might have missed it.
Curious? We thought so.
That is so unbelievably pompous.

I did not see the commercial but that doesn’t mean it didn’t run here I skipped around last night & missed stuff
Thier founder always had TV commercials - my mother fell for them- I’m lucky I’m not a Scientologist she had every one of his books that were out at the time. Volumes & volumes of them.so I’m not surprised that they had a commercial.
I’m not even going to get into tax exempt status I can’t change that.
I did look at the Commercial in the link and it answers nothing. If they know we have questions why not answer any one of them without collecting my online information. Some people feel like if they go looking into Scientology a van could pull up and they’d disappear- that commercial did not alleviate that feeling- at all. To me that commercial says curiousity killed the cat this is better not knowing.

And constant radio commercials for the catholic diocese’s cemetery.

May that entire "religion" choke on it's on self-importance and shrivel up into non-existence as it's coffers run dry. ![](https://thumbs.gfycat.com/ImpeccableDeadEagle-max-1mb.gif)
