Lately I've noticed that my moisturizer is burning my eyelids. Haven't changed products but I've never used a separate eye cream - just the same cream I use on my face.
I tried a sample eye cream yesterday at the drug store - No. 7. It burned my eyelid.
Any experience with this?

I'd be willing to bet one of the first ingredients in your cream is an alcohol. If its been really cold or windy in your area, your skin may be drying out and the alcohol in the cream is the stinging. Eye skin is much thinner and delicate with less oil glands.
Unless of course your eye is swollen or any other allergic reaction is present.

I have had an ongoing issue with red spots/burning on my eyelids and several other areas of my face. My dermatologist thinks it is an allergic reaction. I have a steroid cream that I dot on the spots when it flares up. I found that when I exercise and sweat the burning gets worse.

I found the eyeshadow of my dreams. I've been using it for about two months and suddenly, it itches my eyelids. I put some itch cream on it and stopped using it and it went away. I really LOVE the eyeshadow though

I have difficulty with many eye products and allergies. It sounds like you are allergic to one of the ingredients.

Could be an allergy.
I'll have to keep trying different creams. Might get expensive!

try using natural creams with very few ingredients. I developed allergy to a number of products I had used for years-no rhyme or reason to it and I never had an issue with any kind of allergy prior
