Tomorrow will be a snow day. All ready know that school has been cancelled for tomorrow. We're being told to stay indoors, prolonged exposure to cold can cause hypothermia, don't park in streets or your car will be towed. This snow storm is getting a lot of hype .... I predict 6 inches of snow.

Good luck. I hope that you only get your 6 inches or less... and not more. We just got 9 inches yesterday and will be possibly getting more tomorrow. Snow storms seem to be an every couple day occurrence for those of us in New England this winter. I think our last couple of winters have spoiled us and this year feels like a real winter. While I love all the seasons, I am quickly getting sick of winter this year...bring on spring!

Snow day in my district, too. It's been a long time since they've called off the evening before a storm like this.
I'm actually supposed to go to a professional conference near the airport tomorrow. I'm not sure how this is going to work out. I'm going to have to play it by ear, I think.

Stay safe all my Chicagoland Pea friends! We lived up in Great Lakes for five years. I miss the snow!! We get so little in my area (PNW/Seattle) <sigh>

We’re expecting 6-10” here in the next 36 hours. Even the hardcore, never cancel schools have declared a snow day for tomorrow (our school hasn’t officially notified us yet but I can imagine any way we’ll have it and rumor is it’s cancelled just haven’t gotten the official call yet). Bit of a bummer since tomorrow is winter homecoming but sleeping in is good too

I would love to think I could work from home but I doubt the boss will let that happen- I'm not far from work but it's supposed to snow all day tomorrow! It has started and it's coming down pretty hard now

Our district has been known to be the only one open during snowstorms when every district around us has closed. My ds was starting to get twitchy thinking he'd have school but we finally got the call about 6. DH and his business partner decided to close their offices tomorrow so the employees were really happy about that!

Good luck--that storm system is staying just north of us...for now...hopefully we can avoid another storm like Monday when it snowed all day long and cause major traffic headaches (and a 70 car pileup on the interstate). We're quite happy with the 5" we already have on the ground, we don't need more!

Ugh, this one will go north of us, thank goodness. I am so over snow.

We are off tomorrow, too. We decided the office would be closed tomorrow about the same time the school notifications started coming out. DH has to leave for work shortly. I don’t know that he’ll make it home in the morning or grab a hotel room near the train yard. It’ll depend on how the storm plays out.

They are calling for us to get 10-14 inches in SW MI. All our local schools have already called off for tomorrow, which is absolutely unheard of here. They have never ever called off school before any snow actually appeared before. We are all thrilled to have a snow day tomorrow! We haven’t had one yet this school year.

Snow day in my district, too. It's been a long time since they've called off the evening before a storm like this. Same for us. I live in northern Indiana and we already have 6+ inches. They are calling for upwards of 10-14" starting at about 11pm. I hate the snow, so much.

I think there's one district that hasn't closed but I haven't seen the latest list. My kids' school had a scheduled half day so they called off. After their announcement, the other districts followed suit. What I'm really amazed at is that the local community college has closed all of their campuses already. That never happens. (Also SW MI). DH is thinking about working from home but won't make the decision until the morning. We're in the path of 6-10", with estimates being close to 13" by Sunday.

Once CPS closed, I knew our district would close. Both big bosses at my office emailed us to say we should stay at home, so that's nice. My poor husband though will probably not make it back to Chicago from his business trip tho. Stay safe!
I wonder if it truly will be 14"!

Just north of the border in Wisconsin. Schools are starting to call a snow day already. Not yet for DS but he is "praying to my god Morgan Freeman that it will close." (goof!) "But I'm not counting on it."
The biggest trick will be getting out of the l o n g driveway (near 1/2 mile) if it's not plowed early or is plowed too early and it blows or snows more. (DS drives to school)
Right now at almost 10pm it has started but not too much yet. Car looks to have about an inch-ish on it so far.

We have had three dustings that have left us with about one inch of snow each time One in December, January, and February each. I am loving this warm weather for a normally colder climate.

Measured 8" at my house this morning. Looks like it's still snowing a bit. Kids had fun playing outside!

We've had enough snow fall here for the city to declare a snow emergency for the weekend. That means no parking in the street. I know there are several houses in my neighborhood that won't follow that. DH came home early and just in time. His usual route got shut down due to multiple accidents.

Southwest suburbs of Chicago right along I-80 and we have about 11-12" so far. Doesn't look like it is letting up. The meteorologists were finally right about something.

It's been snowing, constantly, here all day. My husband is a freight driver and is having a really difficult time on some of the county roads. A couple of them are so bad, he said if he has to stop he will be done. He delivers to a lot of trailer factories and such in Amish country. He has seen quite a few buggies out in this mess. He said some of the poor horses are barely able to pull the buggies.

I am not a snow person at all, but I'm actually jealous right now. I do like a good, solid snow at least once in the winter so I can sit about in my pajamas, eating junk, snuggled under a blanket with a good book or some good movies. This winter? Nothing. The long range forecast? Nothing. Same thing last winter as well. Phooey.
