So a post just popped up on my fb feed (not sure why, but fb has been weird lately) and there are posts after posts of frontier changing flights from direct 2 hour flights to 10 hour flights with 2 layovers or changing the day of the purchased flight or whatnot.
Ever had that happen to you?

No - but I’ve I’ve only flown with them once or twice in the last year. Their nickel and dime policy drives me batty. I actually totally cancelled my reservation halfway through booking the last flight as it just ticked me off. I used to fly them all the time too.

I've only flown Frontier once, and I will try not to do so again.

A couple years ago we had family that had purchased flights from Denver to Cabo months in advance and a week or two before travel the flights were canceled. They were crazy, crazy expensive to replace and they lost a couple days of time in Cabo. But since the flights are generally pretty darn cheap they still fly them often. I avoid them if at all possible.

I only flew with them once and wouldn't do it again. My father in law died and my kids and I wanted to catch the first flight out to meet my husband there. Frontier was the only non-stop available. Frontier may be cheaper, but they charge you for everything. They delayed the flight. It seemed like the seats were more narrow and the aisles closer together. Even some of the people on the flight were unpleasant, loud and rude to flight attendants. Never again. I have since read about complaints of changing flight times like you mentioned, and fights breaking out on the planes. No thanks.

I have had no problems, but it has been over a year since I have flown. I also fly out of a very small airport.

Flew Frontier -- returning home from a small town. The Frontier check in person was also the baggage person AND the gate person -- and when the plane didn't arrive was also the "try to fix everything" person. We were stalled over 6 hours -- but glad to get out because if we didn't get out that day, then it was going to be 3 days. Got to Denver -- and Frontier was late the NEXT day. My friend's husband had the funniest line -- "well that's why it is called Frontier -- it takes 30 days to get anywhere." I will avoid Frontier ever after and build in extra days on the back end should it ever be necessary to use them again.

I fly Frontier a lot. I've never had a problem. We are used to flying in Europe on Ryan Air which is the king of nickel and diming. Ryan Air makes Frontier look like flying on a private jet.

We flew last summer with Frontier. Had a great experience, direct flight, cheap tickets. So much less expensive than any other company we could find. Decided to look into flights for this summer vacation and all the flights from our home airport to our destination had layovers in two other airports (one on the other side of the country) One flight (because of the layovers) was an hour less than it would take us to drive.

I fly them a lot. I like cheap flights.
They just changed their routes. So for example, I had a flight in May that took me to Cleveland (from Tampa) and then to Denver. They changed it to go Tampa-Cleveland-Austin-Denver. Ummm - nope. So I looked up my options and called yesterday and had her cancel my flight completely (I rebooked direct on southwest) and change our friends that were coming from Cleveland to an earlier direct flight that now exists. She did it all with no charges. When they change flights/planes you can also lose seats you paid for and need to call and get them back. I made a list of everything I need to do. I was on hold a LONG time because of this happening to a lot of people yesterday. In all it took 1 1/2 hours, but I did stuff around the house and she took care of my entire list of items.
I'll still fly them. It can be a pain, but I take a lot of 2-3 hour flights and picking those up inexpensively is worth it to me.

We fly to Orlando, Las Vegas, and LA with them every year. Yes, the layover can be brutal. Our flights have been on time and way cheaper than other airlines. They have changed flights a few times to later or earlier but I factor that in A delay. This has happened on other airlines for me as well. The worst thing for me is the luggage fees. I don’t like that you are charged for carry on.

They left a team member and an entire plane full of people in NYC last christmas and had no options for them. They didn't have an alternate flight for 4 days and it ended up costing them almost 2,000 to get alternate flights. No thanks
