Aahhh... so that explains the IG post from Pete Souza about back when we had a President who could run. I kind of like playing the game when I haven't seen any actual news of the day and trying to figure out what DT has said or done based on what Souza posts. Me too 😀 what a fun game ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg)

I guess he forgot his speaking points index card that included "Don't cross your arms like a petulant toddler when someone says something you don't like." More seriously, I don't see how arming teachers is a deterrent in any way, like he seems to think it is in this clip, saying school shootings wouldn't even be attempted anymore. Most people who try mass murder plan to die in the act. They aren't going to dissuaded by the idea someone might shoot them. And since the shooters at schools are usually students (past or present) at that school, they are going to know which teachers are armed and will plan according to maximize their death toll before anyone can get to them. It's not going to change anything. Thanks for bringing the video over. There is another of just a close up of his face. He was not happy. He’s such a child.

it's being reported trump wants his personal pilot to run FAA. I swear he's like a 2 year old. needs someone for FAA. looks up def of FAA. Aviation=planes. Planes hmm... sees his pilot. I got this. Hey, you... linkI think he looks to someone he knows and thinks he can manipulate to get what he wants. And someone he believes will be loyal to him, not their positions. that, too, but he's too lazy too look very far or investigate qualified people. He doesn't care.

what a fun game ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) I lost the game today... because no where in my wildest imagination did I expect him to say he would run into a mass shooting unarmed. I was really expecting an unflattering photo of him trying to run, along the lines of that tennis photo. But at least I won't have to bleach my eyes tonight this way, so I suppose I was glad to lose.

linklinkNewsweek... “President Donald Trump called the Florida school shooting a "setback" in comments to governors gathered at the White House on Monday February 26. The remark followed Trump's assertion that lawmakers "have to have action" in the wake of 17 deaths at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. "The country is doing well, and then we have a setback like this that's so heart-wrenching," Trump said, according to a transcript. The president then claimed that his administration is "setting records on the economy," including historically low unemployment for black and Hispanic people.”Well we know what’s important to trump. Now one understands why he has to carry notes that remind him to say “I hear you” into a meeting where he should naturally show compassion.

He backhandedly insulted Canada today A day after the latest round of NAFTA negotiations kicked off, U.S. President Donald Trump told a meeting of governors at the White House Monday that when it comes to trade, Canada is smooth. "Very smooth." Trump told his audience the U.S. cannot abide by existing agreements with trading partners like Canada, which he says has been pulling a fast one on its neighbour for decades. We lose a lot with Canada. People don't know it. Canada is very smooth," Trump said at the meeting, which aimed to focus on the issue of public safety in schools after the horrific shooting in Parkland, Florida. "They have you believe that it's wonderful, and it is — for them. Not wonderful for us, it's wonderful for them." www.huffingtonpost.ca/2018/02/26/trump-canada-smooth-trade_a_23371384/

WH quietly issues report to Congress showing benefits of regulationsBY LYDIA WHEELER - 02/26/18 05:27 PM EST The White House on Friday quietly released its annual draft report to Congress on the costs and benefits of regulations and the results show that major rulemakings over the past decade have yielded great benefits. The findings are at odds with an administration that's pushing federal agencies to cut rules and ease excessive regulatory burdens it says were imposed by the previous administration. The Trump administration report says that from fiscal 2007 through 2016 the annual economic benefits of major rulemakings reviewed by the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) were estimated to be between $287 billion and $911 billion. The report found that from Oct. 1, 2006, to Sept. 30, 2016, the annual benefits of regulations outweighed the annual costs, which were estimated to be between $78 billion and $115 billion in 2015 dollars. The results, regulatory advocates say, seem to undercut the president's continued push for a policy requesting that two regulations be removed for every new rule proposed. and at the end, he says 'we have a number of states that do that' ... does he mean some states already HAVE armed teachers in classrooms? this is where I stopped, so I don't know if anybody else has said this, but there are some schools across the country where teachers are armed. I am not aware of larger districts doing it.

Georgia's lieutenant gov blasts Delta for cutting ties with NRA; warns he will block legislation favoring airlineBrooke Singman By Brooke Singman | Fox News Georgia’s lieutenant governor warned Delta Monday that he will block any tax legislation that would benefit the airline unless it reverses its decision to sever ties with the National Rifle Association, warning that corporations cannot “attack conservatives” without consequences. Delta, the Atlanta-based airline, and state lawmakers have weighed reinstating this year a once lucrative fuel tax break that has since expired. But Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle, who is a Republican gubernatorial candidate, blasted the airline’s decision to end the relationship with the NRA in the wake of the Parkland, Fla. high school shooting earlier this month, and threatened to block the bill. “I will kill any tax legislation that benefits @delta unless the company changes its position and fully reinstates its relationship with the @nra,” Cagle, who heads the Georgia State Senate, tweeted Monday. “Corporations cannot attack conservatives and expect us not to fight back. ** But Cagle’s warning to Delta reflects a stance some state lawmakers are taking in the aftermath of Delta’s decision. “If Delta is so flush that they don’t need NRA members’ hard-earned travel dollars, it can certainly do without the $40 million tax break they are asking Georgia taxpayers for,” former state Sen. Rick Jeffares, a candidate for lieutenant governor who voted in favor of the tax break during his time in the Senate, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. This year’s $50 million tax break, according to The AJC, was pitched as an “airline tax break,” rather than one that would only benefit Delta. More at link: www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/02/26/georgias-lieutenant-gov-blasts-delta-for-cutting-ties-with-nra-warns-will-block-legislation-favoring-airline.htmlHow is a tax break to the airlines which Jeffares voted for as did others equate to discontinue discounts to the NRA by Delta? Taking lessons from dt to punish those who did not agree. It is not like Delta is raising prices, that we already are paying.. I just read this comment, said it better than I did. "So we use the power of the state to force businesses to do what we want? Especially if they're getting squueamish about all those dead kids and making the arms business look like it's a bad thing?" Someone said "sounds a lot like pay for play"

Donald Trump said today he would have stormed the high school with the gunman even if he didn't have a weapon. linksure he would. An old movie scene instantly came to my mind and I had to google to remember what it was. The Dead Zone. The same guy who deferred 5x for bone spurs and said on Howard Stern's show that any sight of blood and he's out. that guy.

Another GOP sexting.......... Arizona special election April 24th Republicans fret sexting scandal could cost them easy House seatRepublicans worry they could lose a reliably red district if former state Sen. Steve Montenegro wins Tuesday's special-election primary in Arizona. By ELENA SCHNEIDER 02/26/2018 05:24 PM EST Republicans are fretting that a front-runner for an Arizona congressional seat — a married minister involved in a sexting scandal — will pull a Roy Moore and hand the seat to Democrats if he wins Tuesday’s special-election primary. The seat vacated by former GOP Rep. Trent Franks — who resigned last December over his own sex scandal — should be an easy hold for Republicans. But a bombshell report of nude photos and text messages exchanged between the candidate, former state Sen. Steve Montenegro, and a legislative staffer — published just a week before the election — has left GOP operatives worried that "it could be Alabama all over again," said Shiree Verdone, who ran Arizona Sen. John McCain's 2010 Senate race. Before the turmoil, Montenegro had lined up endorsements from Franks and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), whose leadership PAC boosted Montenegro in TV ads. He was tied in the polls with Debbie Lesko, his former colleague in the state Senate — both quit the chamber to run for the seat — when ballots were mailed out at the end of January. "Deep down, I'm worried because I don't want this to be another Roy Moore situation," Verdone added. Go Texas!! Texas governor warns of Dems' strong early votingBY LUIS SANCHEZ - 02/26/18 09:03 PM EST Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) reportedly says in a Monday fundraising email that Democrats’ early voting figures in the state should “shock every conservative to their core.” Going against the general norm in Texas, more Democrats in Texas have turned out to vote in 2018 primaries so far than Republicans. Abbott sent an email to supporters asking for donations and warning that Democratic enthusiasm in Texas could lead to results that mirror the party’s victories in special elections across the country. “We’ve seen a surge of liberal enthusiasm in deep red states like Georgia, Alabama, and Oklahoma,” Abbott says in the email, as reported by The Dallas Morning News. “We had always hoped the liberal wave would never hit Texas, but these Early Voting returns aren’t encouraging so far.” Compared to the first six days of early voting in 2014, Democratic turnout has increased by 69 percent, according to the Dallas newspaper. Republican turnout has increased by 20 percent. Early voting for the March primary in Texas is more than halfway over and already more than 151,000 Democrats have turned out to vote, compared to 135,000 Republicans. Texas Democrats have already surpassed early voting totals for the 2016 elections. In an interview with The Hill on Sunday, Abbott said his own reelection campaign is based on trying to win over Hispanic voters, 44 percent of whom backed him at the ballot box last time. “We constantly are involved in letting the Hispanic community know that they are an essential, vital component to the future of Texas,” he said. thehill.com/homenews/campaign/375727-texas-governor-warns-of-dems-strong-early-voting

Look out Missouri Roy Moore endorses candidate who wants daughters to be 'traditional homemakers'BY JULIA MANCHESTER - 02/26/18 11:23 AM EST Former Republican Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore on Monday endorsed a GOP Missouri Senate candidate who has said he wants his future daughters "to become traditional homemakers and family wives.” ** Sykes is aiming to unseat Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) in the 2018 midterm elections in November. He faced criticism in January after posting a statement to Facebook in which he railed against "manophobic hell-bent feminist she devils" and said his fiancee is expected to have dinner prepared for him every night.
"Chanel knows that my obedience comes with a small price that she loves to pay anyway: I want to come home to a home-cooked dinner at six every night, one that she fixes," Sykes said. ** thehill.com/homenews/campaign/375596-roy-moore-endorses-senate-candidate-who-wants-daughters-to-be-traditional
