linkKyle Griffin... “Mueller's team is asking witnesses pointed questions about whether Trump was aware that Democratic emails had been stolen before that was publicly known, and whether he was involved in their strategic release, people familiar with the probe tell NBC News. NBC News... “Mueller asking if Trump knew about hacked Democratic emails before release” From the article... Special counsel Robert Mueller's team is asking witnesses pointed questions about whether Donald Trump was aware that Democratic emails had been stolen before that was publicly known, and whether he was involved in their strategic release, according to multiple people familiar with the probe. Mueller's investigators have asked witnesses whether Trump was aware of plans for WikiLeaks to publish the emails. They have also asked about the relationship between GOP operative Roger Stone and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, and why Trump took policy positions favorable to Russia. The line of questioning suggests the special counsel, who is tasked with examining whether there was collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia during the 2016 election, is looking into possible coordination between WikiLeaks and Trump associates in disseminating the emails, which U.S. intelligence officials say were stolen by Russia. Trump has repeatedly denied any collusion and has described the special counsel's investigation as "illegal" and a "witch hunt." This could get very interesting and set off a twitter storm.

Washington Post storyGreg Sargent... “The $31,000 dining room set for Ben Carson neatly symbolizes the Trump administration's combination of callousness and cluelessness, argues @helaineolen:” From the article... “It seems that hardly a week can go by without Trump administration officials demonstrating that when it comes to frivolous spending on the government dime while the populace is told to make sacrifices, Marie Antoinette was a rank amateur.” Again I found someone who said better what I have been thinking. Especially the last part of the excerpt above. 😀

Adam Schiff’s response..
“More important question: Why is the AG asking for a FISA investigation at all? DOJ and FBI already said the Nunes memo was inaccurate, misleading and extraordinarily reckless. With no evidence of abuse, only explanation is political pressure.”
To this from trump...
“Why is A.G. Jeff Sessions asking the Inspector General to investigate potentially massive FISA abuse. Will take forever, has no prosecutorial power and already late with reports on Comey etc. Isn’t the I.G. an Obama guy? Why not use Justice Department lawyers? DISGRACEFUL!”
Good question.

Newsweek..
“Russia’s top diplomat has warned about the massive loss of life and humanitarian crisis that would occur if the U.S. took military action against nuclear-armed North Korea.”
You think? But then the loss of life certainly doesn’t seem to bother you guys in Syria with your support/propping up Assad.

![:crying:](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/t4lmEAqHtTO6q6ksSmvP.jpg) I miss the Obamas so, so much. Me too. Barak Obama was one of the most decent people to hold the presidency in our history. Conservatives spent eight years tearing him apart for his choice of suit, his choice of mustard, for being married to a woman who wanted us to eat better, for being black, for weeping over dead school children (not alpha!) and being a skilled orator. Then there was the whole Secret Kenyan Muslin (sic) Atheist shit. Don't ever forget how they treated this man and his family. That they called his 11 year old daughter a crack whore for wearing shorts on vacation. All the Obama effigies they lynched in their front yards and laughed because it was "funny." Now we have a psychopath and Russian asset in the White House, openly breaking nepotism laws and bleeding the treasury dry. He fucks porn stars and playboy bunnies, but he's "a good family man and christian," according to the same people who expressed nothing but hatred for Obama's loyalty to his wife, suggesting he was faithful because he was gay. They love Trump's rudeness and crudeness, and love it when he tramples over the most vulnerable among us. They cheer when he insults and alienates our allies, and openly admire Putin as some kind of hero. I truly believe we have two Americas, and somewhere something will give.

Barbara Boxer made a comment that I almost brought here to share but thought better of it until I read this...
MSNBC...
“President Trump pushes back against Rep. Steve Scalise's proposal to pass concealed carry reciprocity across state lines.
"You'll never get this passed if you add concealed carry to this, you'll never get it passed."
The comment she made was GOP (Guns over people). After reading the bolded part she may be on to something.

Alaska's congressman suggests more Jews would have survived the Holocaust if they were armedBy Doug Criss, CNN Updated 2:13 PM ET, Wed February 28, 2018 www.youtube.com/watch?v=EduFZNn31P4Video of his comments.......... about 2:25 ** Young, a Republican, argued that arming teachers would help keep students safe, then ticked off examples of what he says happens when governments take firearms away from citizens. "How many millions of people were shot and killed because they were unarmed? Fifty million in Russia because their citizens weren't armed," Young said. "How many Jews were put in the ovens because they were unarmed?"** Murphy McCollough, Young's press secretary, said in a statement to CNN that the congressman's comment at the event "has been taken entirely out of context." "He was referencing the fact that when Hitler confiscated firearms from Jewish Germans, those communities were less able to defend themselves," McCollough said. "He was not implying that an armed Jewish population would have been able to prevent the horrors of the Holocaust, but his intended message is that disarming citizens can have detrimental consequences. A defenseless people are left up to the mercy of its leaders." ** More at link: www.cnn.com/2018/02/28/politics/alaska-guns-holocaust-trnd/index.htmlWhere do they find these people?!?!?! “For Trump, Obama is damned if he does, damned if he doesn't: In this mtg with lawmakers on guns, Trump tells Sens. Toomey & Manchin they cldn't pass their 2013 background check bill because Obama didn't give support. They said Obama did help. Trump: "Well, there's your problem."
It must be terrible to be as insecure as trump is.

linkFollow the money. It’s always about the money NY Times. “Kushner’s Business Got Loans from Companies After White House Meetings”
From the article.. “Early last year, a private equity billionaire started paying regular visits to the White House. Joshua Harris, a founder of Apollo Global Management, was advising Trump administration officials on infrastructure policy. During that period, he met on multiple occasions with Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser, said three people familiar with the meetings. Among other things, the two men discussed a possible White House job for Mr. Harris. The job never materialized, but in November, Apollo lent $184 million to Mr. Kushner’s family real estate firm, Kushner Companies. The loan was to refinance the mortgage on a Chicago skyscraper. Even by the standards of Apollo, one of the world’s largest private equity firms, the previously unreported transaction with the Kushners was a big deal: It was triple the size of the average property loan made by Apollo’s real estate lending arm, securities filings show. It was one of the largest loans Kushner Companies received last year. An even larger loan came from Citigroup, which lent the firm and one of its partners $325 million to help finance a group of office buildings in Brooklyn.”

Making progress with him, but not so much with Zinke! Pruitt: My next flight will be coachBY JULIA MANCHESTER - 02/28/18 10:42 PM EST Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Scott Pruitt said on Wednesday that he would be flying coach on his next flight. The comment by Pruitt to CBS News' "The Takeout" podcast comes as the EPA head faces scrutiny over reports that he used taxpayer funds to fly first class or on military jets on multiple occasions. "What I've told them going forward is this: There is a change occurring, you're going to accommodate the security threats as they exist, you're going to accommodate those in all ways, alternate ways, up to and including flying coach, and that is what's going to happen on my very next flight," Pruitt said, referring to his security team. "So those things are happening right away." The Washington Post reported in early February that Pruitt had spent thousands on travel, racking up at least $90,000 in taxpayer-funded travel over just part of June of 2017. More at link: thehill.com/homenews/administration/376183-pruitt-my-next-flight-will-be-coach** Zinke on track to be $200K over travel budget: reportBY JACQUELINE THOMSEN - 02/28/18 08:54 PM EST Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke is on track to be $200,000 over his travel budget, CNN reports. Documents obtained by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics (CREW), a group that has been highly critical of the Trump administration, showed that his office was told of the overspending in October. The office disputed the documents, telling CNN that it has spent less money on travel due to fewer staff members and that it was within the budget. Interior press secretary Heather Swift declined to tell CNN how much the office spent on travel in 2017, saying there is "no set in stone budget for travel specifically." Zinke is one of several Trump administration officials under scrutiny for their use of private travel, including EPA head Scott Pruitt and Veteran Affairs Secretary David Shulkin. Zinke is also under scrutiny for taking a chartered helicopter tour of monuments in Nevada in July. Speaking of Zinke. He has hired a winner of an assistant, but she's gone........ Top Interior appointee resigns after anti-Muslim posts surfaceBY BRANDON CARTER - 02/28/18 04:37 PM EST A top Interior Department who served as a special assistant to Secretary Ryan Zinke resigned Wednesday after CNN discovered her history of making anti-Muslim and conspiracy theory posts on social media. CNN reports Christine Bauserman resigned from her post Wednesday after the network informed Interior of a series of controversial posts Bauserman had shared on her Facebook and Twitter accounts. The posts include a number critical of former President Obama, including one post that asked Facebook users to share it if they wanted President Trump to unseal Obama’s birth and college records. She also shared a post that falsely claimed a doctor was found dead under suspicious circumstances after exposing “Clinton Foundation corruption in Haiti,” according to CNN. Bauserman also shared several posts attacking Muslims, including one post that listed a series of terrorists’ names with the caption "If you don't call this a pattern, you are out of your mind." In another post made after the 2016 shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Fla., Bauserman she said the attack showed the “"reality of the Hate that is Islam." She also reportedly shared a Facebook post supporting “straight pride” in 2013, according to CNN. thehill.com/homenews/administration/376110-top-interior-dept-appointee-resigns-after-anti-muslim-posts-revealedI know these people exist, but how are they all making it into the present administration? I guess that is a rhetorical question.

Gowdy’s request, which featured three categories of documents related to Carson’s expensive taxpayer-funded redesign, was issued “to help the [Oversight] Committee determine whether HUD adhered to the applicable spending limitations while redecorating your office.” In addition to the revelation of the dining set, which was purchased last December while HUD cut their homeless assistance budget, The Guardian reported that Carson intends to spend an additional $165,000 on a “lounge set” for his office. You can read the letter Gowdy sent to Carson below: Rep Trey Gowdy R-SC wants answers from HUD Secy Ben Carson on $31,000 spent on dining set t.co/KXN8KjgNJ4 pic.twitter.com/XxGCflaCJy — Jamie Dupree (@jamiedupree) February 28, 2018www.rawstory.com/2018/02/gop-rep-trey-gowdy-demands-answers-ben-carsons-31k-dining-set-paid-taxpayer-money/oversight.house.gov/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/2018-02-28-TG-to-Carson-HUD-re-Office-Refurbishment-due-3-14.pdf

THIS needs to be fixed! Wife of special forces veteran facing deportation: reportBY MAX GREENWOOD - 02/28/18 09:51 PM EST Wife of special forces veteran facing deportation: report The wife of a retired Army Special Forces veteran is facing possible deportation, despite legal provisions allowing undocumented spouses of military personnel and veterans to remain in the country.Military Times reported Wednesday that Elia Crawford, 44, the wife of Ret. Sgt. 1st Class Bob Crawford, 52, could be deported if a Virginia immigration court rules against her on Monday. Elia fled her home country of Honduras in 1999 in the wake of Hurricane Mitch. She married Bob Crawford in 2001 when he was still on active duty. The couple has two sons – a nine-year-old and a 12-year-old. Spouses of active duty troops or veterans are eligible for a type of relief called "Parole in Place" that allows them to remain in the U.S. and pursue a green card if they entered illegally. But Elia cannot take advantage of that program, because she is currently under a deportation order. According to Military Times, the Homeland Security Department will not lift the order. The Crawfords' lawyer, Leticia Corona, told Military Times that getting deportation orders lifted was easier under previous administrations, but has gotten more difficult under the Trump administration. President Trump campaigned on a promise to crackdown on illegal immigration. His administration has sought to step up deportations of undocumented immigrants. "I know the military takes care of families – because I lived it for 20 years," Bob Crawford told Military Times. "I just feel, right now, we’re caught in this limbo." thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/376180-wife-of-special-forces-veteran-facing-deportation-report

“After a crazy 24 hours, sources close to Trump tell Axios that he’s in a bad place — mad as hell about the internal chaos and the sense that things are unraveling.”
If true then there is only one person responsible and that’s trump himself. But he will find someway to blame it all on President Obama. 😀

I'll bet they could furnish the whole office on the $5k budget they're supposed to operate under. I'm so disappointed because for whatever reason, I've known 3 people with glioblastomas who Dr. Carson treated. I met the man once when he was stopping in on rounds post surgery for one of my former students. He was caring and personable. What the hell happened? What happens in people's brains that they suddenly feel entitled to the best of the best spending taxpayer money? He wasn't born with a silver spoon.

He has also joined the swamp dwellers .. and now willing to talk about wishing he didn't have his present job, he thinks it is punishment. Kelly: I didn't want to leave DHS, but 'God punished me'BY BRETT SAMUELS - 03/01/18 10:50 AM EST White House Chief of Staff John Kelly joked on Thursday that he didn’t want to leave his position at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), but “God punished me.” “The last thing I wanted to do was walk away from one of the great honors of my life, being the secretary of Homeland Security, but I did something wrong and God punished me, I guess,” Kelly said at an event marking DHS’s 15th anniversary. President Trump in July 2017 appointed Kelly as his chief of staff, moving him to the White House from his position at Homeland Security. Kelly said he felt he had “no right” to sit on stage with other former DHS leaders, and told the crowd of department staffers he missed them “every day.” "I wish I had worked harder in the six months I had in the job to not only better protect the men and women that get beat up so badly every day, but to really advertise in a much more effective way how good you are," Kelly said. linkThe Senators believe it was Nunes who leaked the texts. I understand voting straight Republican and Democrat but if the people in Nunes’s District re-elect this guy.... And it seems the Senators talked to Ryan and his response was he wasn’t the chairman of that committee. “Senate Intelligence Leaders Say House G.O.P. Leaked a Senator’s Texts”
From the article.... WASHINGTON — The Senate Intelligence Committee has concluded that Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee were behind the leak of private text messages between the Senate panel’s top Democrat and a Russian-connected lawyer, according to two congressional officials briefed on the matter. Senator Richard M. Burr of North Carolina, the committee’s Republican chairman, and Senator Mark Warner of Virginia, the top Democrat, were so perturbed by the leak that they demanded a rare meeting with Speaker Paul D. Ryan last month to inform him of their findings. They used the meeting with Mr. Ryan to raise broader concerns about the direction of the House Intelligence Committee under its chairman, Representative Devin Nunes of California, the officials said. To the senators, who are overseeing what is effectively the last bipartisan investigation on Capitol Hill into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election, the leak was a serious breach of protocol and a partisan attack by one intelligence committee against the other. The text messages were leaked just days after the same House Republicans had taken the extraordinary step of publicly releasing, over the objections of the F.B.I., a widely disputed memorandum based on sensitive government secrets. Taken together, the actions suggested a pattern of partisanship and unilateral action by the once-bipartisan House panel. Fox News published the text messages, which were sent via a secure messaging application, in early February. President Trump and other Republicans loyal to him quickly jumped on the report to try to discredit Mr. Warner, suggesting that the senator was acting surreptitiously to try to talk with the former British spy who assembled a dossier of salacious claims about connections between Mr. Trump, his associates and Russia. Wow! -Senator Mark Warner got caught having extensive contact with a lobbyist for a Russian oligarch,” Mr. Trump wrote at the time. “Warner did not want a ‘paper trail’ on a ‘private’ meeting (in London) he requested with Steele of fraudulent Dossier fame.” “All tied into Crooked Hillary,” Mr. Trump added. The messages between Mr. Warner and Adam Waldman, a Washington lawyer, show that the senator tried for weeks to arrange a meeting with the former spy, Christopher Steele. The Senate committee has had difficulty making contact with Mr. Steele, whom it views as a key witness. And Mr. Waldman, who knew Mr. Steele, presented himself as a willing partner. The Fox News article made prominent mention of work by Mr. Waldman’s Washington lobbying firm on behalf of Oleg V. Deripaska, a Russian aluminum magnate who was once close to Paul Manafort, Mr. Trump’s indicted former campaign chairman. Copies of the messages were originally submitted by Mr. Waldman to the Senate committee. In January, one of Mr. Nunes’s staff members requested that copies be shared with the House committee as well, according to a person familiar with the request who was not authorized to talk about it publicly. Days later, the messages were published by Fox News, the person said. Fox’s report said that it had obtained the documents from a Republican source it did not name.

Once a country starts using nuclear weapons no one wins. Unfortunately that idiot in the White House doesn’t understand that.
From Joe Cirincione...
“1. Welcome to the new nuclear arms race. Putin announces 4 new nuclear weapons to answer the 3 new nuclear weapons US announced last month. This will not end well.
2. In his speech he show graphics (very Star Wars) of new, multi-warhead ICBM that flies over the South Pole. Why South? Our anti-missile radars and interceptors are in the north.
3. He brags about a new long-range cruise missile powered by a small nuclear reactor that can fly “indefinitely.” Again, cannot be intercepted by defense systems, he boasts.
4. He show off cartoon graphics of a new hyper-glide vehicle that weaves around defense radars on way to its target. Again, unstoppable.
5. Finally, Putin has the long-range, underwater drone (torpedo) equipped with a huge nuclear warhead that would unleash a radioactive tsunami on coastal cities. We wouldn’t see it until it exploded.
6. Do any of these work? Do they even exist? They are all in some stage of development. The time to stop them is now. The time for new talks is now. Once US & Russian system go into production, very hard to cancel.“
