I can't remember where we were talking about Panama and trump: Just ran across an article which talks about it... Ivanka Trump: Born to legitimize corruption and make the shoddy look cuteBy VIRGINIA HEFFERNAN MAR 03, 2018 | 4:15 AM In 2006, she oversaw the development of the Trump Ocean Club International Hotel and Tower in Panama City. The project was connected to a Brazilian money launderer later arrested for fraud and forgery as well as a Russian investor who'd previously been jailed in Israel for kidnapping. On Wednesday, a dispute between Trump's company and the building's owner turned violent. The journalist Marcy Wheeler has suggested the fight concerns records that may show Ivanka knew the property was laundering money. Police in riot gear stormed the hotel that Ivanka once hyped as "exemplary of the grandeur in which we like to enter a market." Ivanka was also a ranking official on the Trump SoHo, which has since shed the name Trump. In 2010, as ProPublica and WNYC have reported, the Manhattan District Attorney's office began building a criminal case against Ivanka and Donald Trump Jr. for using inflated sales figures to defraud prospective buyers. After receiving a visit from Trump family lawyer and campaign donor Marc Kasowitz, then-DA Cyrus Vance Jr. backed off. Just Thursday, CNN reported that FBI counterintelligence officials are investigating another Trump real-estate deal, the 63-story Trump International Hotel and Tower in Vancouver, which opened after Trump became president. Ivanka has been described as "point person" on the development, which features an Ivanka Trump-branded spa. No one yet knows why it caught the FBI's eye, but Ivanka's long-awaited top-secret security clearance may turn on what the agents find out. ** MORE at link: www.latimes.com/opinion/op-ed/la-oe-heffernan-ivanka-legitimizing-20180303-story.html

Axios...
“On Friday night, President Trump entertained around 250 Republican donors in his Mar-a-Lago ballroom. Spotted in the audience: Trump's lawyer Michael Cohen, who recently admitted to paying $130,000 to porn star Stormy Daniels.
The most shocking moment of the evening came when Trump brought his old pal Rudy Giuliani onto the stage.
Giuliani told the crowd he had been down there for Trump's wedding.
"Hillary was also here," he said, according to two sources in the room, "and she actually fit through the door.”
The crowd gasped. I'm told Giuliani's wife gave him a "most foul look." Trump later told the audience: "I'm just glad I didn't say it."
And who said men can’t be bitchy...
You know the Republicans are in trouble if all they can do to ”fire up” the base and donors is to attack someone from the other side who is pretty much irrelevant.

The Hill..
“Mueller subpoenas witness for documents tied to Trump, campaign associates: reports“
“Special counsel Robert Mueller has requested various documents tied to President Trump and a number of his associates, according to multiple reports.
Mueller has subpoenaed a witness for all communications between that person and a number of people, including Trump, with the requested documents including emails, work documents, text messages, telephone logs and other records spanning back to November of 2015, NBC News reported.
Mueller wants communications between the witness and Hope Hicks, Stephen Bannon, Roger Stone, Carter Page, Michael Cohen, Keith Schiller, Rick Gates, Corey Lewandowski and Paul Manafort, according to Axios, which first reported on the subpoena.
The report comes as Mueller continues to probe alleged ties between the Trump campaign and Russian election meddling, and has closed in on Trump's inner circle.”

Trump hits Bush: Invading Iraq 'the single worst decision ever made'BY MAX GREENWOOD - 03/03/18 08:05 PM EST President Trump blasted former President George W. Bush on Saturday over the 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq, calling it "the single worst decision ever made." Speaking at a closed-door event with Republican donors in Florida, Trump mocked Bush's intellect and compared his decision to invade Iraq to "throwing a big fat brick into a hornet's nest." "Here we are, like the dummies of the world, because we had bad politicians running our country for a long time," Trump said, according to CNN, which obtained a recording of the president's remarks. "That was Bush. Another real genius. That was Bush," Trump joked. "That turned out to be wonderful intelligence. Great intelligence agency there." More at link: thehill.com/homenews/administration/376605-trump-hits-bush-invading-iraq-the-single-worst-decision-ever-madeHe calls Bush a 'real genius', how does that compare to a 'stable genius' ? More importantly how will this compare to him antagonizing KJU who has nuclear war heads aimed at us?!?!

I really wish people I follow on twitter wouldn’t retweet this crap from NRA TV.
“To every lying member of the media, to every Hollywood phony, to the role model athletes who use their free speech to alter and undermine what our flag represents…Your Time is running out. The clock starts now." –@dloesch #Oscars90
Those guys at the NRA are just plain nuts. My guess is that if was a Muslim saying something like this law enforcement would be all over them.

Are Americans the only country silly enough to want minimal experience in the one area of life that makes the rules for all the others?
"Yeah, I'd like a surgeon who's chaotic, who has built a (not really) successful business, had multiple bankruptcies, multiple marriages, and who thinks he know how to fix any problem - but for the love of dog NO MEDICAL EXPERIENCE PLEASE!!!"

John O Brennan’s response
“This tweet is a great example of your paranoia, constant misrepresentation of the facts, and increased anxiety and panic (rightly so) about the Mueller investigation. When will those in Congress and the 30 percent of Americans who still support you realize you are a charlatan?”
to this from tiny hands..
“Why did the Obama Administration start an investigation into the Trump Campaign (with zero proof of wrongdoing) long before the Election in November? Wanted to discredit so Crooked H would win. Unprecedented. Bigger than Watergate! Plus, Obama did NOTHING about Russian meddling.”
Brennan is right in his assessment.

Wow. That's a direct threat. I truly wish law enforcement would act on it. I don’t think that’s a threat. Not anymore than the “Time’s Up” campaign is a threat. I don’t particularly like what the NRA is saying here, but it’s not an actual threat against anyone. Here's the thing: the Time's Up campaign is about calling out people who are actually breaking the law and victimizing women. It calls on decent people to not put up with this any longer. This NRA campaign is saying that people exercising their 1st amendment rights have to be stopped. It calls on *gun* owners to stop people they disagree with from legally exercising their 1st amendment rights. They're very good at plausible deniability, aren't they? "Oh, we didn't actually tell our members to shoot people. We're not responsible for their actions." It's not quite a threat, but it's far from an innocent remark. (Question - if a teen who had posted about his love of guns and the guns he owns online ALSO posted a picture of his school or classmates with the caption, "Your time is running out," would LEO be justified in considering him a threat?)

Matthew Dowd...
“The loss of jobs in the heartland and industrial areas has little to nothing to do with trade or immigration: the loss of jobs has almost everything to do with technology advancements in our own country. Retraining and education is the fix for the problem.”
At some point both sides are going to have to start talking about the real challenge facing the American workforce. Especially in the areas mentioned above.
ETA from Chris Lu...
“Spot-on observation by @matthewjdowd. Trump FY ‘19 budget slashes $1.1 billion from Dept of Labor budget, including cutting funding to help laid-off factory workers and hard-to-employ adults develop new skills. Major impact on Trump’s base.”

MAY be illegal?!?!? What about this is NOT using his position as President for financial gain?!? It's pretty clearly a violation (in my opinion)!! I wish Robert Mueller would hurry up, already.

“Just got a mass email at 9:59 am linking to a CNBC story headlined, "Dow opens more than 100 points lower as trade war fears rattle investors." That's not interesting. What may be interesting is that it was from Paul Ryan's office.”
Oy!

“We have large trade deficits with Mexico and Canada. NAFTA, which is under renegotiation right now, has been a bad deal for U.S.A. Massive relocation of companies & jobs. Tariffs on Steel and Aluminum will only come off if new & fair NAFTA agreement is signed. Also, Canada must..
...treat our farmers much better. Highly restrictive. Mexico must do much more on stopping drugs from pouring into the U.S. They have not done what needs to be done. Millions of people addicted and dying.”
Mueller is getting to him so he is hanging on to what he thinks is his security blankie.

Trump lawyer complained he wasn't reimbursed for Stormy Daniels payment: report
BY BRETT SAMUELS - 03/05/18 01:45 PM EST President Trump’s lawyer complained to friends following the 2016 election that he had not been reimbursed for his payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels, The Wall Street Journal reported Monday.Michael Cohen paid Daniels, whose legal name is Stephanie Clifford, $130,000 as part of a nondisclosure agreement that ensured she would not speak about an alleged 2006 affair with Trump. Cohen last month acknowledged that he made the payment, and denied it violated any campaign finance laws. The Wall Street Journal reported that Cohen was working to secure a deal with Clifford’s representatives in October 2016, but was unable to track down Trump. As a result, he used his own funds to wire money to Clifford’s lawyer. Cohen’s bank later flagged the wire transaction as suspicious and reported it to the Treasury Department, The Wall Street Journal reported. Neither Cohen’s bank nor Clifford’s lawyer’s bank commented to The Wall Street Journal. thehill.com/homenews/administration/376791-trump-lawyer-complained-he-wasnt-reimbursed-for-payment-to-stormyDidn't Cohen say that he made the payment and there was reason for him to be paid back? ** Bank flagged Trump lawyer's payment to porn star as suspicious: report BY BRETT SAMUELS - 03/05/18 02:01 PM EST thehill.com/homenews/administration/376792-bank-flagged-cohens-payment-to-porn-star-as-suspicious-report** White House sidesteps questions on Michael Cohen
