linkThis reminds us just how petty trump is. From the Washington Post.. “President Trump is pushing congressional Republicans not to fund a crucial infrastructure project — a long-delayed plan to build a new rail tunnel between Manhattan and New Jersey — setting up a confrontation that could complicate passage of a massive government spending bill this month. Trump personally appealed to House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) this week to target federal funding for the $30 billion Gateway project, which would construct a tunnel into New York’s Penn Station to supplement two aging tubes that are at risk of failing in the coming years. The project is widely considered to be among the most pressing and most expensive infrastructure needs in the country, and state and local leaders have long sought federal funding to jump-start work on it. But the Trump administration threw the project into doubt late last year by casting aside an agreement reached during the Obama administration that would have the federal government pick up half the project’s cost. And now, according to four officials familiar with the discussions, Trump has taken a personal interest in making sure no federal dollars flow to a project that is considered critical to his hometown’s long-term economic prosperity.“

Lindsey Graham: War with North Korea would be 'worth it' in the long runBY AVERY ANAPOL - 03/02/18 08:54 PM EST "All the damage that would come from a war would be worth it in terms of long-term stability and national security," the senator told CNN..... Yeah, cuz bombing the shit out of Iraq and Afghanistan have really helped the "stability" of those two nations and the wider region in the 16!!!!! years since we started that genius plan, haven't they? Yes.. the thing is that North Korea can hit back, or they seem to be able to do much damage to us and/or those around them, So Korea, Japan, Guam. We know they have some long range capabilities. We would have NO support from around the world .

Affects all rail transportation, but of course he doesn't use the trains. Millions of people do, including on Amtrak long distance travel from all over the country.

Conservative Review...
“Friday night on his radio show, LevinTV host Mark Levin went off on the media and the Democrats for their attacks on President Trump and his family, calling their relentless assault “unparalleled in American history!”
“I have never seen anything like this in my entire life … these people have done nothing to deserve this kind of treatment,” Levin said. He also broke down how leftists in the government and media have sought to undermine Trump since the beginning of his campaign.
Levin later argued that the Clintons and the Obamas never faced anywhere near the level of scrutiny and hatred directed at the Trump family.“
What amazes me is how some folks try and maintain the premise that trump and his family “are just like everybody else” when in fact their actions, now and in the past, dictate otherwise. So either these folks are trying to con people to believe otherwise or they themselves are just plain delusional.

No question the Obama’s were attacked from the conservative right but one of the big differences between the attacks on the Obama’s and the trump’s is the majority of the attacks on the Obama’s were manufactured while the majority of attacks on the trump’s are based on their own actions and their own words and not manufactured.
And although the Clintons have shot themselves in the foot with some decisions they made (📧), it comes nowhere near what the trump’s have done yet the Clinton’s are still being attacked to use as a foil against trump. Like they are somehow equal in “look what they did now” scenario. When in reality the trump family is in a league all of their own. And not in a good way.

linkSomething to ponder on a Sunday Morning. From the NPR “Depth Of Russian Politician's Cultivation Of NRA Ties Revealed“
From the article.. A prominent Kremlin-linked Russian politician has methodically cultivated ties with leaders of the National Rifle Association and documented efforts in real time over six years to leverage those connections and gain deeper access into American politics, NPR has learned. Russian politician Alexander Torshin said his ties to the NRA provided him access to Donald Trump — and the opportunity to serve as a foreign election observer in the United States during the 2012 election. Torshin is a prolific Twitter user, logging nearly 150,000 tweets, mostly in Russian, since his account was created in 2011. Previously obscured by language and sheer volume of tweets, Torshin has written numerous times about his connections with the NRA, of which he is a known paid lifetime member. NPR has translated a selection of those posts that document Torshin's relationship to the group. These revelations come amid news that the FBI is investigating whether Torshin, the deputy governor of the Bank of Russia, illegally funneled money to the NRA to assist the Trump campaign in 2016, McClatchy reported in January. In a letter to Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., a member of the Senate intelligence committee, the NRA denied any wrongdoing and suggested the FBI is investigating Torshin, not the NRA. Neither the NRA nor Torshin responded to inquiries from NPR. Investigations by Congress and the Department of Justice have revealed that the Russian government has sought to sharpen political divisions among American citizens by amplifying controversial social issues. Investigators have expressed concern about Russian links to the NRA, one of the most politically polarizing organizations in the U.S.” Its stories like this that I’m sorry lynlam is no longer with us. I miss the blistering takedown of the NPR she would have delivered in her defense of the NRA. As misplaced that it may be.

DH *STILL* listens to damned conservative radio (we don't have Serius XM and FL has only about 10 radio stations to begin with!), and I put it on every once in a while to hear their crazy train of thought. This persecution complex is going strong on conservative radio, regardless of this administration's wrongdoing. DH keeps hoping and begging for Trump to get out of the Presidency, and I keep reminding him that it's folks like him who got this douche in there. Yet, he believes Trump is somehow set up and his mistakes are exaggerated. Strange thinking! I keep asking him to shut off that "entertainment" station.

“Trump at Gridiron dinner: Who will leave White House next, Stephen Miller or Melania? hill.cm/gr80qS7”
Maybe it’s because I’m tired today but I think this particular joke is in very poor taste. The reason is because of the stories swirling around trump about his “affairs” and “payoffs” to other women, I’m not seeing anything funny about joking who is leaving the White House next Miller or his wife.

Back in the days when I had a long commute and satellite radio in my car Mark Levin was one of my favorites to listen to. It is so disappointing seeing how many conservatives are risking their reputations by defending Trump.
I am going to look because I read an interesting article by I think Bill Kristal. He was talking about the very issue of Republicans backing up Trump being an unwise choice. Let me see if I can find it.
