So tiny hands is on a rant again today and this is the one that caught my eye..
“I have been much tougher on Russia than Obama, just look at the facts. Total Fake News!”
I have to laugh every time he mentions the word “facts”.
This latest rant must have something to do with Miueller filing charges against some lawyer for lying to the FBI.

From Reuters...
“Top court rejects challenge to California gun waiting period“
Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday turned away a constitutional challenge brought by gun rights activists to a California law imposing a 10-day waiting period for the purchase of firearms, intended to guard against impulsive violence and suicides.
Signaling its continued reluctance to step into the growing national debate over gun control, the nine justices left in place a lower court ruling that upheld the waiting period put in place in the Democratic-governed state that has some of the broadest U.S. firearms restrictions.
Conservative Justice Clarence Thomas dissented from the court's decision not to hear the case.
Gun rights groups and individual gun owners had argued that the measure violated their right to keep and bear arms under the U.S. Constitution's Second Amendment. The challengers did not seek to invalidate California's waiting period for everyone, just for people who already own guns and have passed a background check.
Scolding his colleagues for not taking up the case, Thomas wrote in his dissent that the "Second Amendment is a disfavored right in this court."
The Supreme Court has not taken up a major firearms case since issuing important gun rulings in 2008 and 2010.“
Ok this group took CA 10 day waiting period for the purchase of guns all they way to the Supreme Court and used the old “infringed on their right to keep and bear arms” not because they were against the 10 day waiting period but against the part that the 10 day waiting period applies to all gun purchases and it didn’t matter if one already owned guns or not.
I’m sure it could be annoying to some gun owners anxious to buy a new toy but just how does that “infringe on their right to bear arms”?
And then you have Clarence Thomas getting all huffy because the court didn’t take up this silly case.
Ah as you write these things out sometimes you get your answer.
My guess is the gun crowd wants to define “infringe” to mean there should be nothing standing in your way to buy guns when you want, how many you want, what size magazine you want, what type of guns you want and how many bullets you want.
In other words remove any restrictions against gun ownership by defining the word “infringe” and how it applies to the 2nd Amendment.

He’s still ranting because he is still watching Fox News..
“A woman I don’t know and, to the best of my knowledge, never met, is on the FRONT PAGE of the Fake News Washington Post saying I kissed her (for two minutes yet) in the lobby of Trump Tower 12 years ago. Never happened! Who would do this in a public space with live security......
....cameras running. Another False Accusation. Why doesn’t @washingtonpost report the story of the women taking money to make up stories about me? One had her home mortgage paid off. Only @foxnews so reported...doesn’t fit the Mainstream Media narrative.”
See trump, this is what happens when you lie all the time. You may be right but who is going to believe you?

I love generation Z. I predict they'll take out the Republican Party. They're all watching this shit show in the White House right now and growing up seeing and learning about activism. They're more global and turned off by extreme religion and politics like the Millennials. I totally agree with this. The generation of young people who will be the next to vote, are not going to vote like the Republicans would like. You know, the generation that the conservatives constantly call pussies, snowflakes, entitled brats? I see a future death of the Conservative movement because these people are doing nothing to attract them.

Oops I guess Fox News didn’t report it right.
Tim O’Brien...
“Rachel Crooks didn't say it was in the lobby of Trump Tower. She said it was in the hallway outside of Bayrock's office in Trump Tower, which was a relatively quiet and untraveled area, And she said her requests for Trump to release security camera footage have gone unanswered.”
trump..

My guess is trump doesn’t remember one way or another and is relying on Fox News for his outrage. If he has nothing to hide release the security footage Rachel Crooks is asking for.

linkSo trump is still tweeting... “Main Street is BOOMING thanks to our incredible TAX CUT and Reform law. "This shows small-business owners are more than just optimistic, they are ready to grow their businesses." Part of a tweet had a link to a CNBC article. So I read it. This is an example of tunnel vision. From the article... “Despite the optimistic outlook, challenges remain on Main Street. Small-business owners are looking to Washington for progress on additional issues, including health-care reform. CNBC and SurveyMonkey found that 30 percent of business owners say they want Congress to tackle health care, with 2 in 10 now reporting the cost of employee health care as the most critical issue facing their business. The NSBA's data also found the cost of health insurance to be the most significant challenge to the future growth and survival of small firms. "I think that because of the cost of health care, hiring among the smallest businesses won't be changed significantly," Day said. She added that in the NSBA's opinion, tax reform isn't done. "There was a tax cut, but very little was accomplished in terms of small-business parity with larger businesses," Day contended. "Complexity wasn't touched at all, and the administrative burdens of health care are actually a bigger problem for small firms than the financial cost of taxes." She added: "The growing debt is still a major concern for small-business owners." Another key area of concern for small businesses is finding skilled labor. In the NFIB's data, the quality of labor is now the top issue. Hiring is challenging, and more businesses are raising wages in order to hang on to the workers they have. The NFIB reports worker compensation is at its highest level since 2000. The CNBC/SurveyMonkey online poll was conducted Jan. 29 through Feb. 5, 2018, among a national sample of 2,080 self-identified small-business owners ages 18 and up, across a wide swath of industries. Respondents were selected from the nearly 3 million people who take surveys on the SurveyMonkey platform each day using its online polling methodology. Responses have a margin of error of +/- 3.5 percentage points.” The tax cut doesn’t address the cost of health care or the lack of skilled workers. But it does add to the debt. They are real problems that need to be addressed but trump is acting like they don’t exist. This is not how one makes America great again.

“.@newtgingrich: Every school should have a minimum of 6-8 armed teachers who are trained in the use of firearms and are prepared to defend students”
To me it’s this kind of comment that not just suggests but flat out says the war is lost and let’s surrender. And it’s not helpful at all. At what point did it become ok for schools to become fortresses with armed teachers?

This absolutely drives me nuts.
NBC News..
“Sarah Sanders on Trump's view of Russian interference:
"The president hasn't said that Russia didn't meddle. What he's saying is it didn't have an impact, and it certainly wasn't with help from the Trump campaign. It's very clear that Russia meddled in the election."
Firsr you had Pence say the Russian meddling didn’t have an impact on the elections. Now you have this garbage from the White House.
The Intelligence Report was very clear that they weren’t saying one way or the other if Russia meddling in the election moved it one way or the other. But now the White House is very clearly saying it didn’t.
And unfortunately there are those who will believe it.

Can you even imagine being in the position of being the armed teacher who is faced with the decision of having to shoot a student they once taught? 😳 I’m pretty sure none of the teachers I personally know would ever sign up for that knowing it could potentially happen. And then continuing with that logic, what happens when the armed teacher does shoot and/or kill the former student and that person’s parents or family goes on to sue the school? To me it seems like that scenario would create way more problems than it would potentially solve.

It is our job to teach children, not act as vigilante law enforcers. Can you imagine if a teacher accidentally left her gun unsecured and a student got it? Remember that we have kids with real mental health issues in schools. We also have babies who don’t understand that the gun will kill them. Law enforcement is a real, full time job - not something teachers do on the side. As if we didn’t have enough to do already. Stupid, arrogant blowhard. The gun lovers created this problem; they should fucking fix it instead of putting yet another burden on teachers. Honestly - why is it everyone else’s responsibility to fix this, or to make a world where we can all have guns without consequences. Selfish fucking bastards. Sorry, this is a hot button for me today. A parent offered to buy me a gun to keep in the classroom this morning since my room is closest to the front door. He was quite insistent. I had to be calm and professional with him; here you get what I really wanted to say. And how very apropos that Newt was protected by trained professionals while in Congress, but wants schools to manage with DIY armed defense. Fucking fuckers and their fucking stupid gun obsession.

What will happen when law enforcement encounters armed teachers when responding to a school shooting incident? Not like the teachers can got out their 'here I have a safety vest, don't shoot me', because they have to be secured otherwise the shooter would be wearing the same vest he bought at the uniform store.....!!

The police officers arrived and didn’t know who were the good guys and who are the bad guys because everybody had a gun.

Now we know.............
The article posted on the dt comments on the bump stock ban, it states that dt will be hosting some students etc at the White House, that sure isn't including the kids from Florida. They have a prior engagement at the Town Hall in Parkland, which dt knew about before he scheduled his meeting. So we know he doesn't want to listen to the kids from Stoneman Douglas HS! They know too much for him !

Rubio: 'Disgusting group of idiots' made up claim that shooting survivors are actors
BY JOSH DELK - 02/20/18 05:46 PM EST
Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (R) on Tuesday lashed out at a "disgusting group of idiots" who made up the claim that students appearing on TV as survivors of last week's deadly high school shooting were actors.
A staffer for Florida state Rep. Shawn Harrison (R) said that the two high schoolers who survived the tragedy pictured in a Tampa Bay Times story about the students criticizing Rubio and other lawmakers are "not students here but actors that travel to various crisis when they happen."
Claiming some of the students on tv after #Parkland are actors is the work of a disgusting group of idiots with no sense of decency
— Marco Rubio (@marcorubio) February 20, 2018
Harrison later said in a tweet of his own that the staffer, who was acting on his own, has been placed on leave:
I was just made aware that my aide made an insensitive and inappropriate allegation about Parkland students today. I have spoken to him and placed him on leave until we determine an appropriate course of action. I do not share his opinion and he did so without my knowledge.
— Shawn Harrison (@shawnfor63) February 20, 2018
The students from the Parkland, Fla., high school voicing support for gun restrictions in the aftermath of the shooting are now facing increased scrutiny from the right as a result of their appearances on mainstream news networks.
Former GOP Rep. Jack Kingston (Ga.) said Tuesday that while he was "heartbroken" for the survivors of the tragedy, "their sorrow can very easily be hijacked by left-wing groups who have an agenda."
Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students have become vocal advocates for changes to firearm laws since the shooting last Wednesday when 17 students and school faculty were killed, calling out the Florida legislature and Congress for their inaction.
Several Stoneman Douglas students were in attendance on Tuesday when the Florida state legislature voted down a measure to consider a ban on assault rifles like the one used in Parkland.
Dozens of students held a "lie-in" protest near the White House on Monday, demonstrating the amount of time it took for the 19-year-old gunman to complete his killing rampage.

Newt's Plan: Besides 1. the CORE INSANITY and 2. the fact that I and every teacher I know would refuse to work in those conditions, let's talk pragmatics, Newt.
Just a few.
I've worked in over 50 schools: 6-8 teachers can be 50 % of the teaching staff or 5%. I've gone to elementary schools that are four stories high....high schools that are two blocks long...plenty of schools where not all staff knows each other. How will it work? Will these teachers wear their guns while teaching? Retrieve them from a locked drawer? In a crisis, will they abandon their students to race to the sound of the gunshots? If they're three stories away, will they just run around willy-nilly? Will they employ tactical maneuvers...be in contact with each other and the police? Will they be allowed to shoot over/between students and staff...know how to stay out of the way of police...prevent the police from safely taking a shot? Will once-a-week staff like me have to meet and keep a list of all the designated shooters? Will the students all know who they are?
This is the craziest thing I have ever heard in my life. The fact that it comes from a man who was SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is galling. The fact that there are Americans who endorse this makes me want to abandon this country and never look back.

Why bother to learn any classroom management skills when you can just wave your gun around, right?

I'm a conservative, and wouldn't feel my children (or grandchildren) were very safe if the teachers had guns. Nope. I've seen some teachers lose their tempers!! (I can't blame them sometimes--they had 30 kids in a classroom--I only had 4 at home, and lost my temper at times!!) All the teachers I know personally are amazing people, and wouldn't want them to have to have a gun on them!!
