I used to mainly buy my stamps at actual brick and mortar stores.
I mostly have been buying my stamps at the stamping/scrapbooking conventions in recent years, but I am not sure if I will get to go this year.
Do you buy your stamps online, at a convention, or are you fortunate enough to have a local store that has stamps you love?

Mostly online and through Stampin Up group. I have to travel an hour or two to go to an actual store (Michael's or Hobby Lobby). No local stamps stores in my area.

I usually buy from Ellen Hutson, Hallmark Scrapbook, Scrapbook Pal, direct from MFT, or SSS (slow to ship, though). I buy from whichever has the most items I want for the cheapest price and shipping. I do have a local sewing/craft store that has become a "crap" store, and a not so local LSS and I try to buy at least one thing when I do go there. Occasionally I shop at Michael's.

All the local independent stores closed years ago. I don't shop at HL and Michael's selection is old and tired. Many times I buy directly from the manufacturer (Avery Elle, MFT, Taylored Expressions, Altenew) if I have enough to get free shipping. If not, or if I want a few things from several manufacturers, Ellen Hutson is my go-to, followed by scrapbook.com or ACOT or, in last place, SSS. SSS is last place because in addition to slow order processing, I get hit with state sales tax and there are rarely sales.

Close to My Heart and Lawn Fawn (via Scrapbook Pal usually) are the ones I buy usually.

Whenever possible I go direct to the originator (MFT, Mama Elephant, Altenew, etc) find the shipping is fast & customer service terrific. Also use MarkerPop who often have good sales and their shipping has been very good. Like Ellen Hutson too. SSS is last resort - shipping is slow & expensive, customer service uneven and hardly ever have sales.

Normally I order directly from the company when possible. I've found that they ship faster, cheaper, and most often include a free gift or at least come beautifully wrapped and with a personal note of thanks. It's more like unwrapping a gift than opening an order. My favorites to order directly from are WPlus9, Honey Bee Stamps, and Lawn Fawn.
Dawn Woleslagle of WPlus9 came out with a new set of stitching dies last week. In her Youtube video, she stated that because the dies were large and she wanted to keep them very affordable, she wouldn't be wholesaling them so you'd have to order them from their website. It's things like that I find refreshing.
Lawn Fawn has never failed to tuck in a free item, whether it's a small stamp set, twine, or another of their products.
Honey Bee comes all wrapped up with a note. Their stamps are such great quality, and the large sentiment sets are some of my most used.

Online almost exclusively as there's no LSS near me anymore. I buy from Ellen Hutson, Altenew, Papertrey Ink, Concord & 9th and SSS. I only buy the exclusives from SSS because I'd rather get other stuff elsewhere given the shipping issues!

Mostly online though if I'm able to go to a SB/Stamping Convention I'll buy some there. For the online purchases I mainly go to MFT, ME, EH, TE, SU, LF, and FB with individuals who have online stores with discounts.

Normally I would assume FB meant Facebook, but the others are abbreviations for specific companies that sell stamps, so I was wondering if it was another company which I had not heard about before. I hav been surprised at how many companies have been mentioned in this thread and another that were new to me.

Aside from the snowman stamp and die set I just HAD to have at Christmastime that I ordered direct from Mama Elephant, I’ve been getting most of my “new” stamps at scrappy rummage sales (sometimes new, sometimes used) or at the LSS I happen to stop in when I’m traveling. I don’t tend to order a whole lot online because most of my purchases are spur of the moment budget weaknesses, LOL. If I look online, I have too much time to think about it and then I usually find that I talk myself out of it before I commit.

Lucky for me (unlucky for my wallet) the Marker Pop warehouse is 10 min from my office. I can shop online and then swing over and pick it up that day. Also, there are still a couple ,coal stamp stores not to far from me.

I buy just about everything from Butterfly Reflections Ink. I have a shipping notice the same day I order, and her selection, price and points system are great!

Altenew and WPlus9 for stamps and inks and when I want fast shipping, and exclusives from Ellen Hutson. I use Blick and Jerry’s Artarama for supplies like colored pencils and watercolors. I use SSS for their exclusive products and when I have a $5 off coupon. I also like Starlit Studios for discounts on things like Distress and Memory Box. Recently I went online Joann because someone on 2Peas said they had a ream of Neenah Solar White super smooth 80# for 16.99 and Distress Oxides for the lowest price. Shipping happened to be $3 that day. SSS and Joann are slow shippers. When I am visiting in WA each summer I take a trip to the Impress Store. It’s pretty fabulous.

Just because I’m totally nosey, was there drama with this company in the past? I belong to a Facebook group and the very mention of this company will get you banned. I like the group so I’m not gonna tempt fate and ask.

I'm fortunate to have 4 stores within driving distance. If I can't find what I'm looking for, I'll order online. From Altenew, Blitsy, etc.

Scrapbookpal.com has the best prices in my opinion, I usually always start there then branch out. Used to be you could get good deals on ebay but not so much anymore. I steer clear of SU which is ridiculously expensive (and no I don't want to be a demo for a discount which isn't really a discount!)
