Eat a piece of chicken ?
I have watched them rip heads off of mice and birds and yet they can't chew a piece of meat.
Unless it is uncured organic bacon!

My son's cat will eat bits of chicken and try to take the whole piece. My cat prefered canned ravioli but she was a strange one. eta: what did cats eat before the invention of cat kibble and processed canned foods?

Even the outside cat stared at the chicken. I was going to grind up it up that will wait until tomorrow.

My boys were partial to croissants and spaghetti. And by partial to, I mean rabid about them. Especially the youngest with croissants. Everytime, whether they were bread for a sandwich or being eaten alone he would come up and try to snatch it out of our mouths and run. Every.single.time. He was behaving as if he had to have a fix. And no, we didn't allow them on the table or feed them people food.
eta: We actually buried him with one. Sweet freaky kitty. Buried the other on top of a piece of my Scrapbooking cardstock because if I was in my craft room, that's where he could be found. Of course, if we were on the computer, he could be found on the keyboard, and if we were reading, he could be found trying to lie on the book...

Cindy Lou LOVES chicken! I just opened the ziplok plastic bag on a roast chicken and she came running from the other side of the house to get a little bit of chicken. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) To be fair, she was abandoned and left alone in a yard with only a dripping tap over an old saucepan for over a month ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/mYSUyHtG9Jrcmm_ydVcK.jpg) so she does tend to eat any kind of edible thing, but she really does love chicken the best, ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) Corinne

I have a cat who goes crazy for apricots and otter pops. All my cats will eat a bit of chicken.
But one of them won’t eat tuna unless it is tuna cat food, no Chicken of the Sea for her. So weird.

My kitty eats chicken. Now, I don't give her big chunks, but she can manage a bite or two. She also loves cucumbers, so maybe she's just weird.

Our previous cat loved KFC chips and a certain brand of processed cheese slice. We'd let her have cheese every couple of days or so. Never was a problem for her. Of our current three, one will eat practically anything, including spaghetti and Thai green chicken curry! She is the youngest but weighs the most.

Did you cook the birds and mice before you fed it to them? No, of course not.
Try giving them the chicken raw at room temperature. That's part of the philosophy behind a raw foods diet. Cats do extremely well on raw meat. My Jesse eats raw ground chicken every day and loves it.

I only started feeding them a raw diet in the past 5 years. Before I did a ton of research it didn't occur to me either that cats ate mice raw and didn't stop to build a campfire to cook them on. I believed all of the warnings not to feed cats raw meat because it was dangerous for them. It isn't. Not in the least. Of course I wouldn't feed my cat week old road kill either. He gets organic ground chicken from Whole Foods. Yeah, he's spoiled. But he's the only pet we have and he's small.

One of my current group of fuzzballs licks butter. If it's uncovered on the counter, her face is in it. Lol My old man cat licks ice cream. The Manx loves tuna cans. Growing up, I had a bobcat/domestic mix who would dive into a bowl of popcorn. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) He was awesome!

I have one cat that wants potato chips or dorito's, doesn't matter the flavor, sour cream and onion is a favorite though. He hears the bag rattling and comes running.
The other will lick butter any chance she gets and we can't keep a live plant in the house because she will eat it down to the root if I let her.
Neither is really big into any table food other than those couple things.

When my Sarge, now 13, was a kitten he would come running from across the room and leap across us, stealing food off our plates. Chicken legs, slices of pizza. He wanted it all. He outgrew this, luckily. He is still able to hear me open a tuna can from a mile away, though.

I've never met a cat that couldn't eat chicken. Growing up we had a huge ginger cat who would park his arse in front of the oven if a chicken was cooking, occasionally he'd meow to ask if it was done yet.

Milo loves fish and popcorn. He loves the smell of the oven being on, doesn't matter what's in it, he comes meowing around. He doesn't want to eat it, just meow at the smell of the oven. He will occasionally want chicken or some crackers.

It think it is easier on her poor old tummy.

They are both too lazy to eat their chicken in chunks. I have to cut the chunks into smaller bits or they will leave them in the bowl. I'm forever fussing at Kitty#2 because she loves chicken jerky. She's my quiet cat. However, she will squeal to let me know she wants her treats. Usually after the pups are given their treats after coming back inside. She obviously can chew food as evidenced by the hard dried chicken jerky. Soft, cooked chicken flesh in anything besides the smallest bits are a no go.

Our cat eats hunks of raw chicken every day....and chews it and bites it.
He only recently discovered that pork roast is wonderful.........as well as boiled shrimp.
