I just made an impromptu purchase and am supposed to pick it up in soon. Impromptu probably isn't quite the right word - my old contract was up, and I wasn't staying with Sprint, so i had 3 weeks to make a decision. I usually research first though.
So....how durable does the screen seem to you? Are you using a screen protector on both sides? Or a durable case?
How well do the charging pads work?
How long did it take you to adjust to the lack of a home button?
Has anyone used the Square reader to take credit cards using the adapter? Does it work OK?

I love mine! The facial recognition is awesome.
Photos are even better.
I do have a screen protector on it and a case. I don't recall what type of case it is. It's nothing fancy. I also wanted to ensure I could get it into my pocket so it's not bulky.

I love mine. No case, no screen protector. The glass is flawless; got it on launch day. It took less than a day of use to adjust to the lack of a home button and the new gestures. They are super intuitive and feel so natural that now when I have to use my husband's 7 Plus, I can't believe that ever seemed fine and easy to me lol

I love mine too. I have a case but no screen protector. It seems incredibly durable. Super easy to get used to. So much so, that I struggle when I go on my DH's iPhone 7 or kids' iPads. Camera is really nice.
Have fun.

Love it!
Screen protector -yes Case-yes. It’s a clear Tech 21 case. I like it. Charging pad - No - I haven’t bought one yet.
I went from a 7+ to the X. The screen is *almost* the same size, but it is slimmer. It’s a better fit for my hand.
Password protection is a must. It’s a $1000 phone!
Transition to the new gestures and face recognition were very easy.
I already owned AirPods, so not being able to plug in earbuds without an adapter was a non-issue for me.
My favorite iPhone so far. It was a great upgrade.

I really like mine too. The camera takes amazing pictures. It’s a nice size, clear big screen. I upgraded from 6+. No problem getting used to the lack of a home button. I don’t have a screen protector, just a Sturdy case with a “bezel” around the edge to protect the phone a little better. I’m sure you’ll love your new phone.

I absolutely love mine! I get so frustrated when I have to enter a password by hand like at my desk computer. The X has spoiled me by using my face for everything.
I do have a case from casetify that I love. I’ve only dropped it once and it was fine.
I have the charging pad dh bought me for Christmas and it works grew. I think it’s the mophie one.
Enjoy your new phone!

I have a X and love it also. Losing the home button took no time at all to get used to. I love that my face opens up my accounts. I use the charger that comes with it. I have an Apple leather case, no protection the screen. thesis the first iPhone that I didn't drop the day I opened it.

No adjustment period at all. Face recognition is the best, fast and accurate. I must have bad fingerprints. My Fingerprint sensor thing never worked well. Camera is terrific. I love the size. I wanted a bigger screen but not the huge plus size. Apple case and glass screen protector. Best Buy puts it on for you. No downside on this phone except the price. I say get the big GB one. I haven’t bought a charger station. Will probably wait for the Apple one.

I love mine. I do have the screen protector sold by Apple and the otterbox defender. It slips easily into my pocket. The gestures are so easy and now when I do something on an older device I don’t like the older setup.
I didn’t purchase the charger as I typically either charge while driving or overnight.
The notch doesn’t bother me at all. And the X is the perfect size. Enjoy your purchase.

JustCallMeMommy - do you like your iPhone X? I might pick one up this week. I can't decide between it and the 8+. I just want a good camera phone. Yes, I really, really do. The Face ID thing is incredible. I pick up my phone and it unlocks, Face ID is used instead of passwords. The movement took about 2 minutes to get used to - very intuitive. Battery life is excellent - it lasts all day. The camera is cool. I like the new selfie portrait mode, and I took a picture of a speaker from 500 people away this morning, and it was crystal clear! My only complaint is that auto correct sucks, but I think it just needs to relearn the words and phrases I use.

I’ve had my X since December. I like it a lot. I had a 6s previously and always wanted the Plus camera, without the Plus size. The 7 and 8 were not big enough upgrades to make it worth the cost. The facial recognition is meh. It doesn’t open as fast as the finger scan did. And, it won’t open when I don’t have my contacts in! Also, I rarely use the charging pad, because I like to use my phone when it’s charging.
I don’t like cases, as a rule. If I am paying for it, I want to show off the design. And who am I keeping it nice for? However, I am using the Apple Red case. I found the phone is very slippery and it was falling off of everything. I need to case for friction. lol
Overall, I’m happy I went with the X, but the bells and whistles didn’t win me over. It was size, camera, and most upgraded for longer life.
ETA: The control striokes are easy to learn. And, I’ve never used the Square, so I can’t guve feedback on that.
