Yes, I do remember that sentiment being expressed about Fox news specifically. That the correction and apology were meaningless after the fact. Has Fox News ever admitted they were incorrect in something they reported? Can’t say that I have ever seen or read that they have. And the point of your post was list on who it was intended!!!

One instance in particular it was stated that the correction and apology were meaningless after the fact.

It's hard to justify putting your love of guns over dead kids and teens willing to speak up, so they have to float conspiracy "false flag" theories about Sandy Hook and diminish the Parkland teens by calling them crybabies. Otherwise, someone might realize that they're heartless monsters. Between this and the revelation that the NRA may have taken Russian money to support the Trump campaign, these folks should be thoroughly discredited. Gun owners should be tearing up their NRA cards in the streets. And yet ...

They all just need to calm down. No one is dragging these kids to the policy table.
If they are or will be influencing gun policy through protests or interviews, that’s no different than any other ordinary citizen who uses whatever tool is legally available – voting, letters/calls to lawmakers, campaign donations, forming/joining/supporting advocacy groups, etc. These are kids – they can’t vote yet, they don’t have money to donate, so what’s wrong about using the media (conventional and social) and agitating through protests? So what if they’re proposing their own solutions? We already have a problem in this country where the very wealthy, huge corporations and well-funded lobbyists deploy a disproportionate amount of influence over our policies. What’s so wrong about wanting a slice of that power to influence? For goodness sake, they’re not penning legislation. These are schoolchildren – they just want to be able to go to school without being massacred!

Yes, even the people who have a different idea than you do of what the solution is to this problem, do NOT value an object over human lives. They simply understand that the solution of banning one particular gun in order to prevent deranged people from using it for a mass shooting is only going to leave the deranged people to move on to another gun. So, following the banning logic, then we’ll “have to” ban that one. And so on and so on and so on. Until there are no more guns and they move on to cars, then bombs, then matches and gasoline and knives. The problem is not fixed, children are still being slaughtered, but we’ve now taken away the rights of law abiding citizens. We’re looking for a solution to the problem that actually does what we ALL want it to do and one that doesn’t strip away the rights of law abiding citizens.

It’s pretty convenient that you keep stating “deranged people” when each of these mass shooters have all been law abiding citizens, and all were legally permitted to purchase guns. While every person of this planet knows that *a person* has to shoot a gun for it to be effective, you continually ignore what others have provided as facts about the circumstances, that they all were law abiding, legal gun owners and the weapon of choice in these shootings. You continually try to deflect away from talk of gun control by tossing in cars, puzzle boards, gasoline—You don’t want discussion you just want to ram your propaganda down everyone’s throats. And last time I checked NOT ONE of the suggestions about a gun ban rewrites the Second Amendment—that’s pure propaganda bullshit festered by the NRA as a fear mongering tactic. Banning a certain type of weapon does not change the 2A, no matter how hard you try to hammer that lie home.

I know this is more #Oscars than #CPAC but I didn't want to start a new thread, so I'll put this here.
Dana getting roasted on twitter for her "ooohh scary tweet" about "your time is running out" in which she starred as spokesmodel in a post-apocalyptic short film category.
