I've bought 3 colors & I'm not that crazy about any of them. I want to try again. What's your favorite? TIA!

I love Essie polishes! My favorites right now are... find me a mannequinn, once upon a time and first view. My favorite regular essie polishes right now(before I get any of the new 2018 spring releases) are.... as if!, girly grunge, knee-high life, s'il vous play, dressed to the nineties, and mixtaupe. I use the regular polishes with the gel setter top coat mostly.
Which one did you get that you didn't like?

Thanks ceepea! Have you tried their gel polish? The colors seem to be more limited. I've tried a few & I don't love the colors. I'm wondering if it's due to the gel formula or if I'm just choosing the wrong colors. If anyone has a favorite color in the Essie gel formula, please let me know.

Yes, find me a mannequinn, once upon a time and first view. The ones in the twisted bottle are the ones your talking about right? I tend to lean more towards blues and greens.

I only wear pale pink because it shows less when it chips, so I wear Essie "Ballet Slippers."

Thanks so much for posting your faves ceepea! Yes, the twisted bottles are the ones I'm talking about. I really like their gel formula *thanks to the peas for suggesting it* so I'm going to try a couple more colors.

I didn't find that the Essie Gel polish lasted any longer than their regular polish on my nails. I really like their polish, but that is my experience. I don't think they make a bad color.

ceepea have you found that regular polish works the same as their gel (twisted bottle) polish if you use Essie gel topcoat over it? That would solve my problem since I have regular polish (OPI) that I love the color of. I'm gonna try it. Do you use a base coat? Thanks for the idea! I've bought Stitch by Stitch, Pinned Up, Gala-vanting & Signature Smile. They are all ok but none of them are the perfect shade I'm looking for.

Yes, I use the gel setter on top of all of my polishes and they look just the same, if not better than, the gel polishes. I just think the top coat looks shinier than the gel polish. Thicker, kind of. I even use the top coat with really cheap dollar store polish and they look great.

Are you talking about this? Oops, I don't have that. I didn't realize they were two Essie gel products for topcoat. I have this in the white bottle (Essie Gel Couture Topcoat). Are they different? Thanks again!

Thanks again! The first one. The gel couture is supposed to only work with the gel couture polishes. The gel setter is the one I use over everything.

Essie gel couture polishes are amazing - I get more than 10 days without chipping - 1 or 2 days from most other polishes. I am pretty rough on my nails, never protect them no matter what I am doing.
We have a very limited colour range of them here, but I love Take Me To Thread, and also like 1 coat of that then a coat of Style In Excess, then the top coat.
