I've never listed on Poshmark but as a buyer, I always head there first before Ebay.

No, I did just list some things on ThredUp, but it’s too early say how it’s going yet.

My daughter wanted a specific David Yurman ring for Christmas which my husband bought for her on Ebay.
I checked Pooshmark after the fact and there were several listings for the same ring at about the same price as my husband paid on Ebay.
I would have tried Pooshmark first, but I'm pretty sure my husband has never heard of Pooshmark. I suspect lots of other men aren't familiar w/ Pooshmark.
Therefore, if I was selling designer bags or nice jewelry (something that a man might buy for a woman), I'd probably list it on eBay. If it's clothes (which I think a woman is more likely to buy for herself) I'd probably list it on Pooshmark.

I have. You have to factor costs into it to make your decision.
On Poshmark, they charge you a flat 20% and buyers pay shipping. As soon as something sells, you are sent a label to attach to the box to send. You have to figure out how to price what you're selling to absorb that cost. The nice thing, when you list it will tell you what your net earnings are. I sold a Coach purse on there for $100 listing, earned $80 and was fine with it.
I do use eBay too. I use the flat rate box to ship and I know eBay is lower than 20% in fees. (I can't remember what it is off the top of my head). Stuff might sell for less on there but it will sell faster, so there is that.
Paypal is Paypal - they're going to charge you a fee whether it's Poshmark or eBay. Since buyers pay you that way, it's kind of a wash either way.
I'm moving a couple of more purses out and will probably list on both, just to see which one sells first. You can always cancel the other one.
Good luck!

DD has sold on Poshmark, but I'm not interested in doing so. I much prefer the "list it and forget it" method of eBay. With Poshmark, to be successful requires a lot more interaction with sharing, liking, etc (I'm not sure of the exact terms they use for all that). The one advantage that Poshmark has is that shipping is much easier. They just email you the label, you print and ship. DD is no longer selling on Poshmark because she just doesn't have the time to do all that due to work being so busy, though she does buy there often. Therefore, if I was selling designer bags or nice jewelry (something that a man might buy for a woman), I'd probably list it on eBay. I won't list high end designer bags on eBay. Just way too many scammers out there now to even risk dealing with them. Also, so many lines are faked and unless you are willing to pay for authentication, you risk being accused of selling a fake which jeopardizes your account.

I've sold several things on Poshmark. As another poster mentioned, you have to figure in the fees that will be taken out into your cost and find a price you'll be happy with. What I hate about Poshmark is they allow people to make offers. I listed a new, unworn pair of JCrew shoes for $48, which was a steal for them, and I had one girl send me an offer for $15. I set my price at what I'm willing to take for an item, I don't want to haggle with people over the price.

My sister does. Poshmark is her career- she does very well and has been invited to speak at Poshmark events. She really knows her stuff. She has an Instagram devoted to poshmark tips to help others- like about inventory, posh stuff in general staging clothes, and lots of tutorials about fixing clothes to sell.
If anyone wants to follow her, PM me and I’ll givr you her insta name.

I haven't sold on there but have bought a couple things and I like that you receive and verify the product before the seller gets paid. My husband bought a lens on eBay from Hawaii and he believes the seeker sent a broken one. He sent it back for a refund outer the seller's request but the seller never responded. My husband did get his money back from eBay but it just seems annoying that some sheister is sitting in Hawaii with both the lens and the money.

If your husband got his money back from ebay, that means ebay got the money from the seller. So the seller is out shipping fees both ways for a broken lens. Not much of a shyster.

Maybe he had to appeal to his credit card or something? I just remember him having to jump through hoops because the seller went silent after receiving the lens.

I really like Poshmark and have had a good experience with them. Though their fees are high. I went a bit crazy when I first discovered LuLaRoe and have been selling what I don't wear. Not many people buying my LLR lately, though. I'm gonna need to lower the prices I suppose.

If you haven't already checked it out, you may want to.

I sold a high end Sherri Hill prom dress on Poshmark. It was very easy and I will likely do it again after this years prom.
