👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻 This. Thinking that it was wrong for Republicans to go on a fishing expedition against Clinton does not mean that I don’t think that he was a hound dog. I simply don’t vote for people based on their sexual history, assuming that it’s consensual sex between adults. Much as I would love to see Trump banished, I am merely enjoying the spectacle of him not being able to attack his accuser. I am sure that she has evidence that he cannot refute, or he would be tweeting up a firestorm about her. She has him by the short hairs, methinks. ETA: The above does not mean that I approve of sexual peccadillos. I do not. They just do not enter into my voting calculations. Whatever tangible evidence she may have – photos, tapes, text messages – are already in Cohen’s/Trump’s possession. Of course, I don’t know if she made copies. There has to be a reason why he is not attacking her. It’s completely out of character. I wonder if we will ever find out ?

I would think there are two reasons: (1) He’s not attacking her on Twitter/press because remember, the “story,” according to Cohen is that Trump is not involved in anything to do with this. If Trump starts attacking Stormy on Twitter, that story falls apart; and (2) The settlement agreement bars all parties from speaking about it in any form. (That’s why when Cohen blinked first, she pounced on it and said his action breached their contract, and then sued Trump and EC LLC. I haven't seen any new reporting on that lawsuit.)

I know this is off topic but I'm fascinated that the WH dweller hasn't gone after Stephen Colbert on twitter. Stephen is brilliantly ruthless in his show every night about the hot mess that resides in the WH and not one single tweet. Interesting. Any theories on why not? Because he sure has gone after SNL, Alec Baldwin and anyone else who has mocked him.

not sure... maybe because Stephen Colbert is very direct in standing up to Trump? I mean, he has invited Trump to be on his show, and he speaks directly to him when he's skewering him... It seems like Trump is more vocal about people who are more in an 'underling' sort of position to him, and can't necessarily say what they want to about him?? Alec Baldwin and SNL aside, I mean-- the things he says about SNL and Alec Baldwin are really pretty tame, along the lines of 'fake news; sad' whereas Stephen Colbert is so scathingly cutting and intelligent, I bet Trump knows he would lose miserably in a battle of wits with him, so he makes very sure to not engage in one at all. (Trump also doesn't really ever say anything about Seth Meyers, Jon Oliver, or Trevor Noah either, that I know of. He might mock women in the media who say things about him, but that's because, well- they're women, thus inferior.) (my very fave Stephen Colbert = brilliantly intelligent + funny + clever + HOT! )

She is very sharp, though. I would not be surprised if she had evidence. But you know, I am enjoying the fact that Trump is not attacking her. It’s juvenile of me, I know. But it is amusing that there is someone who is apparently not safe to attack. It’s like a wee breath of fresh air. ETA: thank you for your sharp analysis. Right now I am knee-deep in IEPs and am not able to follow these stories as deeply as I would like. I always appreciate your take on All Things Political..

And I don’t think it’s Stormy who’s necessarily sharp; I think it’s her current lawyer. Reason I say this is because this whole thing started when the unrelated Access Hollywood tape became public. Shortly after, she began making the rounds of media outlets to shop her story, but not necessarily giving up details yet. Cohen found out about it and that’s how the payoff started. When you think about it – if you have tangible proofs, why would you agree to $130,000? On top of that, agree to remedies of $1M per breach (that’s PER breach, meaning each and every interview you give if you divulge confidential info)? That’s not the kind of contract you enter into if you’re the one holding the winning cards.

Jon Oliver is the only reason why I wish we had HBO and I'm such a dud I can't stay up late enough to catch Seth.

Trump legal team moves to shift Stormy Daniels case to federal courtBY JACQUELINE THOMSEN - 03/16/18 08:24 PM EDT President Trump's legal team on Friday filed paperwork to move the lawsuit filed against him by adult film star Stormy Daniels to federal court. Bloomberg reported the motion to transfer the lawsuit from California state court to a federal court in Los Angeles was made by Essential Consultants LLC, the company set up by Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen. Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, signed a nondisclosure agreement with the entity in 2016. As part of the agreement, she was paid $130,000 reportedly to stay quiet about an alleged affair with Trump. Trump will support the case’s transfer, according to the Essential Consultants filing cited by Bloomberg.Clifford's lawyer Michael Avenatti slammed the court filing in a tweet Friday, calling it "yet another bullying tactic from the president and Mr. Cohen." "They are now attempting to remove this case to federal [court] in order to increase their chances that the matter will be decided in private arbitration, thus hiding the truth from the public," Avenatti wrote. The documents from Trump's legal team state that Clifford could face up to $20 million in damages if she violates the nondisclosure agreement.Cohen claims in the documents filed Friday that Clifford violated the agreement 20 times, according to The Washington Post, which reported that Cohen is seeking to force the legal dispute back into private arbitration. The documents filed Friday also reveal that Trump is being represented in the case by Los Angeles-based attorney Charles Harder. Harder, who has worked as an attorney for Trump and first lady Melania Trump, previously served as the lead attorney for Hulk Hogan when the former wrestler won a $140 million judgement against the website Gawker over a leaked sex tape, forcing the company into bankruptcy. Hogan and Gawker later reached a $31 million cash settlement.Clifford is suing Trump to void the nondisclosure agreement in an effort to publicly discuss what she claims to be a relationship she had with Trump in 2006. Clifford has claimed the nondisclosure agreement is invalid because Trump didn’t sign the document. The articles I am reading about her lie detector test keep focusing on whether she had unprotected sex with Mr. Trump. The unprotected part caught my attention. Could there have been an unplanned pregnancy and abortion? He wouldn't want that out there because it is the one thing that might turn his base against him.

It's known that he's a serial cheater and that he tried to make his mistress abort her pregnancy. That hasn't fazed his base, so why would an unplanned pregnancy with a porn actress?

revirdsuba99 , I don't 'like' what you said about an unplanned pregnancy and abortion not mattering o his base, but I agree with you. sadly. just yesterday, we were talking about Trump at work (kind of casually) and one of my co- cow-workers sort of made a face when we were talking about Clinton. We asked was she a Trump supporter, and she said not really, but she did NOT like Hillary Clinton. So even NOW, the smear campaign against her was more powerful than any of the truth about ALL of Trump's lies and deceptions.

This whole Cambridge Analytical is what needs to be fully investigated. Forget Stormy. Even a back burner for the Russia stuff. THIS IMO quite possibly made election fraudulent.
That Clinton stuff can die on the vine. To even bring that up at this point....well.

With Stormy Daniels? I mean, come on, we all believe it, right? But so what? It doesn’t matter... his supporters forgive him for all of his transgressions, his opponents are desensitized at this point. So he had ANOTHER affair... So so why is he fighting this one so hard? Why not just admit it like he has in the past and say he’s a changed man. It seems to me that he’s bringing more attention to it by denying it. Could it be he's fighting it because of the $130,000 paid to her can be considered blackmail, which is a felony? I don't know, I'm just guessing. Non-disclosure agreements are not blackmail or they legally wouldn’t exist.

I think you are all correct. I just felt like there was a lot of emphasis on the unprotected part. Maybe she gave him/he gave her an STD and he is more worried that no one will ever sleep with him again. Blech! I honestly don't care who he sleeps with. I am just amazed that he is not attacking her and that he is trying so hard to suppress her information when everyone knows and doesn't care that he is a cheater.

There is something there for sure as there is with Mueller or that Mueller will find out about through the situation with Stormy..
